You know what Gundy is doing? Taking the heat. Y'all are talking about him now, and not the kid. Gundy been a stand up guy...a grown man...whos now older than 40. Respect
Utah Compliance said Cam isnt eligible for an 8th year
Hard to stand up for someone who did something very stupid like drunk driving and also had it brushed under the rug by your coach. What he did was wrong. No way around it. But let’s all remember mercy and how many times we’ve received it. I understand the “we were all teenagers” and “everyone drives after 3 beers” but at the end of the day it’s a super wack excuse. Let’s forgive and stop beating the kid down but also remember how many lives are affected by drunk driving everyday.
ESPN and Greg Sankey is responsible for the the current situation, not big 10 or Brett Yormark. If they did not think the would be other consequences for Texas and OU to SEC, they were stupid. Big 10 was just try to ensure there own relevance
So y'all watched a 30 second clip of a 4 minute explanation by Mike Gundy and judged his decision off of that? Go watch the full interview then come back to this. He did explain it better, but the clips circulating cut that part out.
are you suggesting they should put respect on his name?
@@JohnFelchner I'm saying they should get the full context before talking about it, because what they said that he should have said, he did say in the following 3 and a half minutes of the full statement.
It’s the Sec and Big that has destroyed college football B12 had to react or die and you are mad. Sorry we like our teams and just won’t die we like sports to not just in Alabama
Arch is the most overrated QB in the history of CFB (at this point in his career).
I don’t understand people like this who act like they’ve never been a teenager and made a poor decision. Ollie and Gundy handled it the right way and some of u people just need to leave it at that. Trying to make it a bigger issue! 🤷🏾♂️
Hell it used to be legal to drive inebriated until courts and lawyers realized they could make boatloads of money prosecuting it
When I was a teenager I was sleeping in my car drunk so I didn't drive. I got arrested for actual physical control and had my license suspended until I was 21, had to do DUI courses and pay thousands of dollars.
Yeah like those decisions don't cost thousands of lives yearly 😢
@@MrBlackPositiveandInteresting im not saying they dnt. My point being that it happens more then we like it but let’s not try to make Ollie the face of it. He’s a teenager that made a poor decision and just because Gundy didn’t suspend him an X about of games or kick him off the team for his only mistake in college. Clam down is what I’m saying!
@@oliverwellsjr6702bud you’ve said this teenager shit more than once now to make it seem like this kid is super young. He turns 21 in January. Spare me. I got 2 DUI’s before I was 25 and have never had a drink and drove since the advent of Uber and Lyft and I live in a town the size of Stillwater and I’m 37 now. I was an idiot, I did something dumb and I learned my lesson. What I never did was make excuses or have someone try to make them for me.
The mid 12 is the thoroughly worst conference. Don't know ball, sorry.
It’s a fun conference! You should watch!
How do you call an Uber when towns are miles apart from each other. Come drink some beer and chase tornadoes on the back roads.
Designated drivers.
You decided to drink, deal with the responsibilities of doing so.
I hate when people that don’t live in Texas, Oklahoma, or the South…try to make this a serious issue. There’s not 10 lane freeways in Oklahoma. Hell you have 3 beers at a restaurant and you still drive. Grow up.
Just an awful take. My mom is disabled for the rest of her life because of someone who thought just like you.
The irony of a confederate telling someone to grow up is too rich. Keep drinking, saltine.
There is no reasonable explanation to justify drunk driving, people die every year due to recklessness of people doing this…
This is a bad take. Gundy is deliberately enabling the behavior that can ruin lives. All in hopes of increased performance on the field.
Rural areas and states have much higher fatalities due to drunk driving. Population density is irrelevant. Highways are also better lit and better maintained than random dirt roads, so not sure at all what point you think you just made.
