That’s opening yourself up for discrimination lawsuit. I know that accommodations aren’t supposed to negatively affect a company but courts are not gonna look kindly on somebody who is spoken to negatively about their religious and medical issues and then ends up getting fired

hot and humid and a drought, wants experienced workers at start instead of training them a correct way and breaking some bad habits they may have had from a previous lawn care job , wants reliable workers, hard to find as is now days let alone doing that sort of job in that part of the country..., didnt wanna pay the good workers more for working their butts off doesnt matter if their already being paid more then average you wanna keep good workers or not.. sounds more like a manager problem then workers...... Was a relief when you came in and said give them more make them feel valued. And went straight to the point and asked the employee what was going on instead of just wanting to can him shows the differences in true leadership/ manager/owners of businesses. 3 great workers are better then 6 average joes. Kyles really lucky they havent gone elsewhere up til now. sounds like they all needed a little refresher. But to only have lost 2 customers after bumping prices shows their doing great jobs thru the blistering heat. id like to see you go back and do a update try to get the ball rolling some more and get them that help.

I personally would recommend a hiring referral program to get good employees. You could do an initial 250 for the referral hire and after 6 months of working the employee that did the referral another 250 if they new employee is successful.

I've worked for companies that used such incentive/referral systems; they almost always weaseled out of paying up even when you brought them top hands.

Maybe offer a referral bonus to the employees for successfully recommending a new hire candidate. My employer (different industry) offered $5K bonuses to employees who referred a new hire that completed 1 year of work. The bonus was paid in $1K installments throughout the year.

The "team" is probably afraid of Tim ( thankful for his service, and that he made it back 🙏 ). If they're not willing to get to know him, he should be on a solo route.

A lot of the issues veterans deal with is the medical appointments. I’m assuming he has some disability and monetary disability he gets from the VA. The VA constantly picks at the veterans with appointments to try to downgrade their disabilities. If you are a veteran reading this get assistance with your disability claims and get 100 percent. Then you won’t have to deal with the va trying to downgrade you constantly. Reach out to me if you kneed to be pointed in a direction, I can help.
