I like the compound break design much better. Nice work.

Good deal man. I will try this with some steel since I only have a MIG. Have you made one for a 4150 base?

I'm happy you liked it... I have done it for 4150 base, but it was on a tunnel ram. When I did that one, I traced the opening from an air cleaner base for the carb openings. That one was made of steel.

@@jimkiernan2855 cool man, were the scoop dimensions the same as the 4500 or smaller?

No, it was a little bit longer, because it was on a tunnel ram with two 4150 carbs... My dimensions would work, or you could probably go a little bit narrower like an inch or two... The dimensions I used are (17 inches long x 11-1/2 inches wide, 4 inches tall in the front, and 3-1/4 inches in the back) that way it has a slope to it. Try building it out of poster board first. You can really dial in what you're looking for then.... If you're interested in stuff like this, my next video is going to be how I mount leaf spring sliders, and make them adjustable.

@@jimkiernan2855 I thought about leaf spring sliders for my 70 Cougar but I have not seen specific ones for my car. I already have Calvert split mono leafs and the Caltracs bars on it. Shackles are just stock replacements from Mustangs Unlimited.

They don't make specific sliders for anything. You have to figure out a way to mount them. Most of them have a Mopar spring bushing.
