- This had to be one of the cleanest 5th Gen Camaros we've ever seen. From the spotless twin turbo set up under the hood, to the gorgeous interior with A/C - it was hard to take our eyes off of it. Even better - he WON his true street class averaging 7.93 through the 1/4 mile on DRAG RADIALS. Probs to the driver and team that put this beast together! What a perfect Drag Week car!

Eh, a lot of these engine builders have all types of warranties and guarantees. Plus it's drag week. And they were in his home state of Michigan. Doubt it cost him very much, if anything. For a repeat customer (said Morris has built him 2 cars so far, 100k+) you gotta do what you gotta do to keep em around.
Steve builds $100k engines, I'm sure he is willing to come out and help.
He is also a bullshitter in the the Devel Sixteen V16 scandal too and overstates a lot of hp numbers.
I'm a Mopar guy, but I give mad props to this badass machine.

There is no parking break in this car. The lever is free floating, that's why it lifted like that.

When you zoomed in on the broken head in the bag what were you looking at? That little crack in the cylinder head? I felt like I was looking for more damage than that lol.
At these types of tolerances and horsepower figures even the smallest defect can cause an engine to spew its guts.

@@benjamins9121 Probably around 50psi I reckon. Thats bloody good numbers, but it is a twin turbo V8 so of course its likely to put out big numbers. Need to put it to the ground too.

Does it make sense to mount turbos like that? Dont they suck air away from each other? The camaro was putting out quite a bit of black exhaust when it was spooling up at the line, imcomplete combustion from lack O2.

Nice car got nothing but good things to say about it but what fun is that all you have to do is steer the nitrous everything comes on automatically it shifts itself not really much skill involved if you can stay in the hole and not get out of the grooveyou've won the race or or you've had your besti et maybe I'm just a little old school I enjoyed the days of the 2-speed Powerglide high and low was all you had you had a trans brake and line lock the rest was up to you

jakemj03 - you're comparing built cars to built cars, so you can blame who ever built them. Of course the V8 can handle 4X abuse on stock internals, where the inline 6 in the Supra needs complete internal work to even come close to what this Camaro puts out without turbos...then even with built internals the inline six in the Supra has a higher chance of blowing up.
Idk man... stock bottem ends on a supra can hold 850ish all day long some guys with huge balls and great tuning run 1000hp on stock bottem ends but tbh that's living on some serious borrowed time before you send a rod through the block lol. Not sure what these hold stock on the bottem end though so I could be wrong
Did they dump the hood to shave weight? I would think aerodynamics would be off.
