I was taken aback by the ending. Wasn't expecting to see our boys walk on the pitch and be able to witness the sword ritual the night before their first game vs Belgium. It gave me chills, tears in my eyes but most of all, the loudest "LETS GOOOOOOOOOO" escaped from my mouth. Hours away now. 1-2-3 BROTHERS!!!
I'm Canadian born in Canada but parents are both of portuguese decent. I've always flown a Canadian flag with every Portugal flag ever. World cup or euro cup. I'm proud to say win or lose I've never felt more patriotic and proud in my entire life. Proud to say I'm cheering for Canada 🇨🇦 this year no portuguese flags will be flown pure red and white! Having been in that crowd in the south end of BMO Field on the day they qualified for the World Cup against Jamaica might be one of the biggest moments I’ve witnessed live, in my 33 years on this earth. An inspiration to all of us that grew up playing the beautiful game. They made us proud this 2022 World Cup with their first couple goals and the stage is set for 2026. O Canada 🇨🇦

I grew up in Canada, and I remember listening to a transistor radio in Math class when Paul Henderson scored the winning goal of the 72 summit series against the USSR. A huge roar went up all around the school. I live in Spain now, and I'll be streaming the Canada-Belgium game today.
