SEASON 5 LIVE STREAM! Twitch: www.twitch.tv/rob2628 CZcams: czcams.com/channels/Sl8TBqqflby-ymdEQVfRNQ.htmllive This is wild! Having Runes now in Diablo 4 is a dream. So many wild combinations are possible. Yesterday there were some questions about runewords, here is a small summary! If you still have questions, let me know in the comments.
Trading runes will make mythics literally tradeable as well. You just need to collect your free sparks and you‘ve got 3 mythics if you use runes to „craft“ them.
I don’t know how “cheap” and/or “easy” it will be. Seems costly: Each one requires: 1 Resplendent Spark, 10 Legendary Runes of a specific name, 10 Rare Runes of a specific name, and 10 Magic Runes of a specific name to craft.
Online vendors will flourish, and most people will use real money to buy these runes as soon as they become available. Trading takes the fun out the grinding. In D2R everyone just buys runes the first few weeks in the season to gain Enigma and other powerful runes to help them excel. You can cal it what you will, but trading is cheating.
I believe there is a rune that generate 50 points on evade. And another calls meteorites down when you evade. I doubt itll be that strong, but spamming occulus evade-teleport and raining meteorities on each one sounds pretty fun! You would also be moving a lot of distance which might be enough to generate a bunch of distanxe travelled for the other runeword too
ı think one of the most consistent buffs you can gain is enhanced war cry. flat x43% increase is great for anyone esp for solo players. but in group content (dark citadel) with one barb in team, another runewords can be used
Its Runewords. Its the Just the beginning. D4 people are too Casual to understand runes. So they made them less overwhelming. Its basicly a Testing Phase for Future more Complex Rune system
@@iiangmariiomega2639 They can call them rune words all they want, these aren’t rune words. There’s no need to dumb the system down, I was slapping rune words together when I was 9. If anything this offering and consuming or whatever plus overflow mechanic is actually significantly more complicated than rune words.
It is a runeword because they called it one. Fun fact, there are lots of words with two syllables and if you change either of the syllables, you can make different words. This seems to line up pretty well with what they're doing 😂
Permanent war cry/ berserk on my rogue will be very good because I can spam ultimate Death Trap so 150 invocation per second, also it will activate automatically invocation rune for using another class skill and maybe I can have permanent frost nova with freeze from sorc.
funny how they make something good and bad at the same time, Runewords display its charge at buff line, and people already been complaining that buffs not able to see because line is limited and too many buffs from different sources. And now runewords basically take 2 slots by default.
Cast 3 skills in a row: not sure if the Sly effect will count as one, but I cast a Free Frost Nova every 20 sec on my amulet, and if you get the 2 Frost Nova cast but cooldown is longer..
I feel like adding a rune-specific neutral resource to make your rune stuff work is good - it keeps balance in check. Enigma was way too powerful because it was free TP. Of course, getting to that point was the price of admission in itself. But it was so strong that everyone tried to get there no matter what. Now that runes are basically easily available, you had to gate them to be somewhat balanced at least.
Srsly hate how they add more and more items to trade and banking on, but still theres no in game auction house / market or official ingame trading tool/system in place and i have to resort to dodgy discords and make screen shots of items i want to sell, hell not even a proper chat system after all this time! Its unbelievably horrible. Streamers have ppl lined up to buy from and sell to ... it is actually super stupid for average few times a week player to have to dive into 3rd party auctions and spend hrs posting instead of ingame feature done in seconds like an auction house could be.
Agreed. IMO it's would be best to bring back d3 vanilla auction house. Even better if they bring back RMAH as well. Half of my time in d3 vanilla was looking in the AH and waiting for the selling notification. It was awesome
@@MMoer its about being able to sell super loot that im not planing to wear and can bank on without the need to resort to 3rd party interactions.. u welcome.
Don't sleep on every class having 5 darkshroud stacks (60% DR) and damage per darkshroud temper from rogues on rings + amulet + weps (tons of additive damage)... lol.
Idk man doesn’t really feel like runewords as much as extra out of class mechanics. Runewords changed the actual item entirely. Feels like they just looked at Enigma and was like “so you guys want to teleport?”
@@smurphy55656 I don’t think that’s necessarily true. Runewords gave base items something to chase for. Like running cow level 50 times to find a socketed chest piece. Uniques still held value, don’t you think? On a whole other subject I was totally expecting them to drop set pieces into the game with VoH being all green and what not. I think they could’ve implemented runewords in a way that made us chase again. I like the unique overhaul so far. I even like the codex. But the chase is kinda gone in Diablo. I think the resplendent system was good motivation for alts.
I wonder if we will get 6 socket grey items where we can make uniques from runes like in d2 - also charms in inventory and jewels would be cool some day
Barbs have a giant advantage with having two 2handed weapons. You only have to give up some additive damage. As a necro I have to either give up my offhand and always use a 2hand or give up four ruby slots for 36% max life… that’s a massive hit as things are currently. Not sure how it will look with the stat squish but you can’t say barbs don’t have a huge advantage.
Rob is incorrect that the legendary versions are straight-up better than the magic or rare ones. His example, Cir (magic) versus Tam (legendary) ignores that Cir lets you cast any non-channeled skill, whereas Tam requires you to cast a Core skill. If you have sufficient ways of reducing your resource costs then Tam is better, but you can use Cir with basic skills, stack a lot of attack speed, and get the benefit that way. They're similar, and in many cases Tam will be better than Cir, but it's not a strict upgrade like he's suggesting. A basic skill build won't want Tam because those builds generally don't use Core skills; maybe a Firebolt Sorcerer will be the exception since they still cast Firewall but I bet you'll trigger your runes faster with three Firebolts than you will with one Firewall since the Firebolt is the one you're going to want to spam. Honestly I'm a little confused why the trigger runes even have quality. The power level of the effect runes does seem to be roughly equivalent to their rarity level but the effectiveness of the trigger runes seems to be pretty arbitrary. Traveling 5 meters as a legendary effect is quite powerful, but gaining 10 Offering on a Lucky Hit chance against Injured enemies feels pretty weak even if it's a 100% Lucky Hit effect. Likewise, Cem (50 Offering when you Evade), despite being magic quality, seems quite strong since a lot of builds can get their Evade cooldown really low and spam evades. Zan (150 Offering when you cast an Ultimate skill) can also be extremely strong since you can drop many ultimates down to below 10 seconds and then use Flickerstep. In general the triggers seem fine as they are, but some of the more common runes feel stronger than the rare or legendary ones. I think that's actually a good thing, that you have runes of all rarities that are worth hunting for rather than just the orange ones, but it definitely feels weird to me considering that the design policy has been strongly stated to be "rarer equals better."
I like this direction, but i dont see any runewords, only runes. Anyone whos played d2 for many hours knows that a runeword is more than the sum of the runes involved. Jah Ith Ber runes on their own are okay i guess, but anyone whos made an Enigma knows how potent of a runeword that truely is.
If certain combinations are too powerful, it’s bad for the system. Why would you choose anything but OHM. Won’t it get boring? Why add stuff that won’t ever get considered?
The barb picture shows no 2 sockets on weapons. they are gone cause barb have more double sockets then other classes? also the necro shows no double sockets on weapons.
