- A 2-year-old girl died in Delhi on Sunday after being mauled by stray dogs. The girl's parents want strict action against those who feed the strays. There are 60 million stray dogs in India. In 2023, 27.5 lakh people were bitten by strays. Is there a solution to this problem?

It has become a major issue..... recently a friend was bitten by two stray dogs, he is handicapped walking on road.....he had to take so many injections....who is responsible? Citizens are suffering....my children are scared to go out....we can't freely walk on the road, because the stray dogs are getting violent.....😢 animal compassion? All the animals can be the road, why dogs ? We can coexist.. domestic animals do not harm people....human life has no value here...no other country has this issue 😞 rescue the dogs from the growing traffic menace ...give them shelter . Probably they are growing violent because of the High traffic .
Humans have completely forgotten that this world not only belongs to humans. Humans are a small part of this world. There are other living organisms on the planet as well. Humans have destroyed the natural habitats of animals by cutting the forests so where will the animals go?. Other countries don't have this problem because they killed the animals
Most dog lovers are psychopaths who have no relatives and friends and they consider these dogs as family.

" Sometimes situations in societies become such ( as in this story ) - that - ' you have to become cruel ..to be kind .' If India wishes to become a tourist heaven with safety for its visitors and locals alike - they must start eliminating these stray dogs. It's not possible to build shelters for all these dogs. It's unpopular thinking but there's no way out of this dangerous situation. Have strict dog ownership laws. Think radically - create a national government stray dog adoption program - where young and healthy dogs are encouraged to be adopted by farmers of India , whereby farmers get some minor monetary sum for doing so. After all - there are more farmers in India than stray dogs !

The solution is to de-notify the Animal Birth Control rules, which are illegal. First "notified" by the Ministry of Culture and when this was questioned, recently re-notified by the Ministry of Animal Husbandry. Neither ministries have anything to do with stray dogs.
PETA, which is one of the major advocates of stray dog sterilisation in India, euthanises over 90% of the dogs in their care in the US.
The intention is to create fault lines in Indian society, which they have succeeded in doing.
I adopted 2 street dogs jhillu and Kalu.
They never bark. They stay in their kennel outside my home but are the most vigilant security guards.
So if they bite someone, are you the one they can blame and sue 😢😢😢😢

@@PneumothoraxBlueneck I got bit by a stray (wild) dog and no action was taken as there are no laws for the same. But on the other hand if you hit a dog, people will come to talk about laws..... That's called Hypocrisy.....
I am not targeting your opinion on laws (Laws do exist to protect animals)..... But what about our safety......
If dogs are creating problem then it should be addressed. People are loving dogs, not humans. They don't feed a begger.

if you can feed a dog 🐶 you should look after its healthy & should provided a proper home like adopting it. Training it do have take consequences if they bite others.
Let me also mention there are people & children who are barely making through days without meal.
Stray dogs/animal population is crime against animal and against humanity. Just like every human needs food-clothing-shelter as basic right, so do animals. Of course the fact that stray animals are real threat to human safety should be the most concerning. Who is to be blamed- in order of accountability:
(1) Government
(2) Animal rights groups who mislead public by stating stray animals have right to make road their home rather than a home via shelter.
(3) Public because if we don’t talk about our safety and clean up our neighborhoods then who will.
Methods to control - animal sterilization until no animals are left to suffer on streets.
But when we normalize homelessness for humans; we are bound to confuse ourselves over stray animal issue.
While rich countries do not have stray animal problem but there have been many mauling incidents with known aggressive breeds that have been raised as pets; what can you expect of stray animals to behave like or humans to keep themselves safe on road like many animal rights group mislead stating it as an option.
Dog feeding ( whether deliberate or just throwing leftovers ), is responsible for at least 20% increased population of dogs.
1.4 billion humans, can’t even shelter 60 million dogs, shame on that article in the Indian constitution…
People who feed dogs are the villain. Same can be said for the leaders feeding people free food and create unsustainable population.

imagine living in a concrete jungle where no one feeds you ? such is the problem of street dogs. Sterilization can keep the numbers in check, but they are also living creature and also man's best and most loyal friends. There are recorded extreme circumstances when people don't have access to food they have turned to cannibalism just to survive. the dogs eat from garbage and get diseases and rabies makes them mad , going out of control. As responsible and intelligent humans we should at least understand and feed them so that they don't see us as a threat or attack us.

@@Gowtham91mn They can be deadly as hell if they're not treated right. Throwing stones at them, mistreating the dogs, hitting them. What, so humans can hit them, but they cannot defend themselves? I'm sorry for what happened to that kid, but what exactly was a 2-year-old doing outside their house? Starving dogs will do such things. The sterilization that was supposed to be done was not taken care of by the proper authorities. That's why this problem has risen. Dogs were domesticated for our need and then we abandoned them. And yes, they can be the most loyal best friends than any humans if they are treated well.

Not all dog incidents are results of throwing stones. Infact I'm afraid to just walk on streets during night time. No I don't bother them I mind my own business.

@@Gowtham91mn you don't bother them, but others do, and then in turn if they have had too much of it, they will attack any person they see in front of them. Also, kids need to be taught not to run in front of dogs. Dogs tend to chase kids when they run. Parents themselves are so afraid of dogs that they don't educate the kids on how to deal with dogs, instead just hit them or be afraid of them. I think one is more likely to get hit by a vehicle on road than a dog biting. We have to come up with a solution that will work for everyone. Having hatred for dogs is not the answer.

Simple failure on ownership, for eg dog owners are now supposed to keep their dog on the leash & clean up their dogs poop. Dog feeders feed them, who's gonna clean up the poop & strays off the leash are another story. Most developed nations have dog shelters to avoid these conflicts. Let feeders volunteer at these shelters, care for them in a safe controlled environment. How simple can it get. Just like owning a vehicle, back in the good old days there was no drink & drive however being irresponsible & drinking & driving is an offence now. Why as it's a risk to innocent bystanders. Its crystal clear.

People who keep throwing stones n things n swearing at the dogs lead them to believe that all humans are harmful....very often resulting in aggressive behaviour....it's not the dogs to blame except when they have some physical ailment or mental medical issue....which is rare

@@auxiliasequeira8648 There is a video of a little girl in India mind her own business. She sees the dog talks to her parent and points at the dog approaches. The child notices that something is off stops approaching, turns around and walks away. That is when the dog launches an attack and the adults have to step in and get the dog off her. What reason did the dog have to attack. The child wasn't a threat, nor was she messing the dog. Fear? Oh please! The dog was stairng her down and only her! It attacked for no reason.
There's another case in the US of a toddler beng dragged, scalped, and mualed by two dogs. The dogs jumped the fence and dragged the poor child into their yard and attack her! Once again, just because they could! Dogs are not innocent.
