My cuz called in need of an assist. I said, " have saws,,, will travel!!!" We ventured to the central (Willamette) valley for a little inland Fir fun.
As with all things in this world, had a slight mechanical "dys-phun-ction" with the mighty 088. I had the 2100 barred up with the Cannon 42"er already. So wasting no time, we put the hurt on the big fir.
This is the 1st tree of the day and in this location. As mentioned, getting the carb dialed in here as we live at ~ 2800' and this is at most 350' above sea level. Eventually, I did get her close to properly "carb-a -tooted" and we can see she is pulling the 42" quite well. A little bit of a stump patch out there around 100' mark so, and as always in a place like this, takin' my "saw-weet" time. The trees are just to valuable to torch them off haphazardly.
We heard cousin Gary expressing his concerns about hitting the house. Resultantly, I had this nice stick gunned a little right. Didn't wanna be yellin' FOUR!!! as she went down...
In the end we utilized the "meat" of this tree, didn't wreck anything, and lived to tell.
I'm currently available for custom saw modifications. Please shoot me an email if you are interested.

Thanks for watching.
Hello. At the start of the day, the 088 glitched with a bad recoil assembly rope pulley interface. I had the "Iconic Relic" (2100 CD) ready to go. She stepped up to the plate and performed nicely - hitting a tight shot full of stumps. As always, the description furthers and qualifies. Thanks for watching.

I purchased the 3rd one that came to the central Oregon coast, from Glen Harmon, "Harmon Motors" in Toledo back in, I think it was '73. They didn't have falling dogs on them yet, (we put Stihl dogs on them).
That 2100 sounds phenomenal. What a beast
I bucked with a 2100 in seventies and eighties. Pard ran a 56. Nothing like running a great saw in a blowdown sale.ahhhhhhhh mennnn. Thy ax and thy wedges they comfort me.
I am a big fan of your videos. Thank you for taking the time to make them, and keeping them PG.
