no worries mate it took us a bit to finally track you down but hey thats how it goes down west just stoked you weren’t hurt it could’ve been a very different scenario goodonya curly cheers
Hehe yeah mate that’s how It kind off goes down here we do try to take care of each other no one else will . It’s us keeping the tracks clear picking up rubbish saving stuck tourists and helping out injured wildlife while the people in power lock up the bush from their offices and do nothing. Ass about face ain’t it Andy ,have a good one mate cheers
thanks mate we couldn’t leave anyone if there needing help out there its a stunning place but it gets dangerous sometimes too thanks for watching mate cheers
thanks brad were all still learning what works and how far to push that limit robs just starting that curve we’ll show him what we know too he rides good though just got stuck like we all do at times , any excuse for a ride and im in hehe
Indeed it is a very risky mission but I bet you all love the adrenalin rush. Keep yourselves safe and thanks for sharing your great adventure. I’m your new subscriber ❤
thanks for subscribing mate we absolutely love the trips we do staying safe is incredibly important and hard sometimes in this environment but its alot of fun 👍
Well done Taz , and mates , on a successful rescue . I could tell the camera doesn't do the steepness of that track justice , when the quad was spinning and going nowhere . Great effort , otherwise i think he would have been sleeping out bush for a while , lol . Cheers Ned . 👍✌✅
cheers ned it’s certainly steep in places and swampy on the ridges weirdly which makes it challenging at times tell ya what though we’ve had tougher recovery’s, all went well once we actually found rob hehe tracks everywhere mate👍
About thirty years ago I located a lost rider in the hills behind Glenreagh in northern NSW at night on a 1971 Hodaka Ace 100 with a Dolphin torch taped to it's front guard The fella had come off his bike and broken the top bone in his leg he was up there for eight hours and it was pouring rain for some of that time I left a torch with him and went back down and explained where he was to another fella in a four-wheel drive who went up and recovered him
Fair dinkum mate he’s lucky you came along , good job .just leaving a trip plan with a mate is often enough to narrow down a search area and timeframe for rescues. Funny how often luck comes into play too aye nice to hear from you mate cheers
@@tazyt3388 I was sent out to look for him On the day I had been at Grafton removing the leaf springs from an old EK Holden van that had being laying on the ground for years and it was an all day effort to remove them, it poured rain at some point while I was under the EK and the same rain also got the lost rider as he was laying in pain in the scrub, when I eventually got back to Glenreagh nobody was at my place or at that fella's place so I've gone out to where some mutual friends lived at an old farm at the foot of the hills and my ex-wife and the fellas wife and others were there and told me he'd ridden into the bush 8 hours before and hadn't come back I would ride up there regularly and was the only person who had any idea what area he may be in I would keep the Hodaka dirt bike out there just as soon as take it home and it was there at the time so as I said I taped the Dolphin torch I kept in my FC van to the Hodaka's mudguard to improvise a headlight and took another torch to leave with him once I found him This was before the common use of mobile phones or I might have been contacted and come back earlier
All you need for a bush winch is a rope and 2 stout sticks, Make a s bend in the middle of the rope. Use one stick to hook the rope around the winch drum and lever.. and use the other stick as a winch drum Also known as a broom handle windlass. Make sure you use stout sticks I winched a Toyota coaster several meters like this when I was a 10 year old kid.
spot on mate i have made one years ago to drag my busted IT200 out of a gully it took a while but got the job done its wise to always carry rope all my bikes have a kit onboard 1st aid and repair recovery, pretty amazing what you can do if you take time to think great to hear from you adam cheers
they are good winches mate we all have them on our quads robs getting one soon too ,just a necessity out here doing hard tracks in remote locations great fun though mate👍
I know that track well, There was a tree across it last time. Sure made it hard to get my bike out! Greasy clay mud & very steep! it sure is Paradise out there.
oh its always fun creed it had us challenged just to locate him the recovery was good and safe though its a tricky place at times but totally wicked fun hope ya well cheers

yes he has a fun time but we all need help at some point on these types of adventures,it pays to stay safe thanks for commenting cheers
All the content Rob puts out bigging up Tassie and it turns out he gets more help from a bunch of filthy quad bikers than he'll ever get from Parks!

The electric winches that you use to pull boats onto trailers are great for recovering quads ! light weight 12volt Just clip them on and away you go
