StyleJack (Last4One / N.O.N.) vs Kid David (Renegades) Quarterfinals of Footwork Battle at Outbreak 6 Orlando, Florida - USA December 3, 4 - 2010 www.thebboyspot.com
I hate to categorize stuff like footwork and power, But I must say that footwork is fucking awsome! When I was a little kid watching bboys I was never interested in power moves. Footwork is what always caught my interest.
@SpikeSpinz ya i saw him battle along with NON one time but i thought its cuz he was just going to visit and battle with them, i didnt know he was actually part of NON.
@BeeboiZam Well what i'm talkin about it the fact that i didn't honestly see born or style jack winnin against who they went against even before i watched the competition. and i know they would have a much better chance anywhere else. i'm gonna go that far and say that too. I'm sayin in solo battles that it kinda seems like they usually don't win over here.
@BboyHotshot just editing what I wrote...moves on the back r considered "footwork" if they r variations of what u do when doing footwork...it has to blend...i.e. the theme has to be intact. For e.g. u go down from toprock doing the Indian step...to a footwork move, the jumpover-jumpback combination (where u jump over one foot and go back to original, same as Indian step but going down) to a similar back rock combination. Yeah that's legal.
I do kinda wanna call this out.. i don't kno if koreans do worse over here in the USA or what.. but it don't seem like there's any way they can win in American competitions.. i wanna see some more crew battles involvin them tho.
moves on the back are footwork when done by transitions..i.e. the backrock or the flare or whatever ur doing has to blend with the footwork. i.e. it will be allowed, n u won't be disqualified as such (for e.g. AT vs Intact (IBE footwork battle 2010, AT totally went on her back)...but not that u r gonna be scoring big on that..here neither of them did them like going on their back totally...they did back cc's which r treated as cc variations)... Style Jack's 2nd set was a bit weak hence he lost.
everyone needs to give more respect to style jack. look closely to what hes doing, the dude is nuts ! just cause kid david beat him in a footwork battle one time everyone's like, OH STYLE JACK GOT SMOKED, when really they don't have the balls to even do a couple rounds against him. style jack is honestly one of the nastiest bboys i've ever seen/met and he is not getting the respect he deserves.
@Dqson Dude, what are you talking about? Korean bboys do really well in American Comps too. For example, Maximum Crew won Evolution 5 and EVO is an American competition. lolz Not trying to ride koreans or anything like that but just saying...hahaha
@MrEddieSmooth It really depends on the judge. If you go on your back and use it as either transition or to play with the beat like what Style Jack and Kid David did it would count. Otherwise its debatable. Its like going on your knee counts, side of your leg counts, even dropping position to your butt would count.
@hawtyangboi Whao! Calm down there bud! Kid David was killing it! Kid David is one of the best bboys out there in the world! You shouldn't make such statements like this haha hit me up on FB and I'll tell you more b/c what you just wrote, people will hate you haha
