Best camera angle for this song to see your right foot...you just saved me a drum lesson.
The drums in this song are so good... simple yet complex. Every hit has a purpose. Feels so melodic and consciously constructed.
Also, great drumming is like great design. You don't pay it much attention unless it sucks, but when it's good, it makes everything so much better.

It's hard to play this song in drums. I was looking for a lesson and I found that Phil Selway's Drum Lessons, but I ain't paying a shit for something like that :v
Just listen to it and play what you hear. Don't give the lessons sites your money.

that was awesome man! :) but just for that slow phrase that begins at 3:35 , Phil is doing 16th notes in the recording as opposed to your 8ths.
+GamestA okay thanks for clarification. cause I was sure at first when I made my comment that they were 16ths but after I kept hearing the song I kept struggling more and more on what to believe. and then going behind the kit I kept trying to do both 8ths and 16ths. plus whenever I see live performances Phil is doing 8th notes. its some other musical element during that part that makes me think he is doing 16ths but really he is not.
I know I'm two years late but Phil plays sixteenth notes, but accents all the 8th notes. Similar to the Moeller technique.
I did it actually but i took it down because i was not pleased with it.

He's a great drummer, but I prefer you remove the singing if this is a instrumental track. I can hear the chords better and rhythm and hear the flaws better.

Good technique and tempo, but isn't the correctly sound. Too much agressive the kickdrum and the hi hat.
