And you changed my world as a kid. You are the reason I am an accepting and open minded person. The big difference between you and Bowie is that you were the real deal. In the 80s if people could deal with boy george can deal with anything. Thank you for your presence your courage and brains.

George is articulate and full of wisdom! He’s been around the block! Been there, done that. What’s left is desire, his artfulness ability to eloquently speak the truth. His rawness is breathtaking...

As a 18 year old Gay man I can fully confirm everything that Boy George said. My life has been defined by my sexuality it's the first and the last thing that people mention when they're around me and I suffered awful bullying because of my sexuality. I find it absolutely disgusting how Gay people are shunned in society, being Gay is completely natural, just because there are more straight people in the world than Gay people it doesn't make Gay people any less human, just because there are more apples than pears, it doesn't make a pear any less of a fruit. However like George I embrace my Sexuality and am very proud of it, I also like to dress up to express who I am and I thank god for amazing people like Boy George who have saved me and made me realize that I'm not alone!! I love Boy George so much!!

l support you Andrew, l am a straight, divorced woman who just supports the LGBTQ community. l love Boy George very much, he is so honest and endearing, a beautiful man, inside and out. l've watched many, many of his interviews, they always have to ask about drugs and his sexuality. Enough! Let's talk about his hat collection, let's talk about his hobbies, what he enjoys doing in his down time, let's talk about his favorite foods! Thank you for sharing this video.

Very well said, I couldn't agree more! George is an intelligent, beautiful human being, and gay people in general are just people with different preferences. I mean, what is the big deal? I'm a 30 years old Danish straight female myself who supports human rights, LGBTQ included. People should have the right to express whatever they feel like inside without being harassed! That should be common sense for everyone.

From 03:26 - Sounds like George's father is a malignant narcissist. Violent, treating his family like garbage but always ready to help anyone else out, mend their roof etc.
Creating a nice public image to hide what they really are.

There haven't been 'Pop Stars' since the 80s, let's face it. George is right, all artistry went out the window. I mean, look at the 90s with the Spice Girls where they promoted 'Girl Power', ughhh. They were given an identity for each member like packets of crisps with a different flavour. WOman power was Siouxsie Sioux, Annie Lennox, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Bananarama, Chrissie Hynde, Poly Styrene etc.
