  • Skyrim VS Breath of the wild, which is the better Nintendo Switch game worth buying? What are the good games on the Nintendo Switch eShop you need, like these two? Is The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim better than The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the Nintendo Switch? These are just a couple switch games, but they are both fantastic, and this is my review of each. I hope it helps you decide which switch games are worth buying in 2018.

    What I feel killed breath of the wild overall was the lack of more NPCs and enemies. The game felt like one huge empty world. If it had more encounters like Skyrim it would of been legendary

    I’m a little biased towards Zelda but I have to admit that I like Skyrim better. After I beat the story to botw and all the dlc I just couldn’t get back into like I used to. Unlike Skyrim each time I play through it I always find something that I missed from the last time I played it.

    What I think they were trying to do with Legend of Zelda breath of the wild was make it more similar to the original on the original Nintendo where you could rom around different parts of the game fight enemies and Explorer but Skyrim is more complex and challenging and looks beautiful on certain platforms even though the Legend of Zelda breath of the wild story lines is incredible Skyrim storyline is incredible as well it's really hard to choose between them in my opinion

    These are both great games, but tbh Skyrim has more gameplay like after you beat Zelda there is not really anything else to do other than explore and look for korok seeds, while Skyrim just had much more to offer, and even if you’re done with the game it has mods and dlcs so even more fun

    ((Late to this lolz))
    BOTW’s ending disappointed me because there was no after game, no meeting Zelda, and rebuilding the kingdom. After I beat it once I quit, and the DLC’s aren’t worth it to me since they don’t add after game. Also the weapons breaking is so annoying.
    Skyrim is a game most people keep buying. And I’ve bought it on Xbox, pc, and switch. Like I’m addicted to making Oc’s, and my own story for the along the story line of Skyrim. Not to mention great characters you can fall for, and the many different play styles you can do. It may be an older game, but it’s got its own charm too it.

    I just tried both for several tens of hours, and I feel Skyrim is way better than Zelda. In Zelda, the only person I talk to is the old guy who cooks apples, and the only story is to save the kingdom, but who cares about the old kingdom where nobody but goblins live in? In Skyrim, I put myself in a civil war with no absolute justice. People choose their sides based on their faith or interest. People thank me when I did them a favor, or attack me when I was found stealing their goods. Skyrim is a life. Zelda is merely a tiresome sightseeing trip. I'll definitely put hundreds of hour in Skyrim, but I don't think I'll ever touch Zelda again.

  • @rezarfar
    @rezarfar Před 6 lety +8

    I like them both for different reasons.
    Zelda: better gameplay mechanics, especially combat, better main quest with better sense of achievement, more memorable npc characters and better single play through experience
    Skyrim: more immersive, bigger sense of exploration, more side quests, better music, better character building and immense reply value.
    I find all Zelda games hard to go back to after you beat it, maybe after a little longer that might change but Skyrims replay value is immediate, you just have so many factions to choose from that change many facets of the game so replay is just a given.
    Zelda is just the better single playthough experience, the world and sense of it is unreal, it really gives you a sense of free but at the same time manages to draw you into its deep story, which for some reason is very under appreciated but personally i thought it was the best zelda story yet except maybe twilight princess

    • @emendo2696
      @emendo2696 Před 5 lety

      Reza Far I agree for the most part, but I would say BotW’s combat is worse in terms of the weapon breaking, and the Skyrim characters are honestly more memorable, like Sheogorath or Cicero. Though if the weapons had a repair system, like in morrowind, than the combat would be better. Both still breathtaking games, but I prefer Skyrim.

      This is a good point. I'm playing through BoTW right now and while I'm totally immersed and enjoying the game, it does feel like I have to "force myself to find fun things to do".
      I guess ToTK kinda alleviates this by giving players more powers to play with in their sandbox.

The legend of zelda's physics and huge expansive open world (which is 9 times the size of skyrim BTW) are so perfectly put together. Even if you don't like killing the boss's and following the main quest, you can have just as fun by simply exploring and walking/climbing/paragliding around.; the game is stunningly beautiful. @@acoloradolife5135 lol what even is that comment? can't handle what a real game has to offer XD ok bro. good luck trying to argue that. You know what a real game is? Chess. Simple. 16 pieces. 64 squares. that's it. yet it's the oldest played game, and most widely played of all time. you're not intelligent or sophisticated enough to respect something like that though lol

      Bzb123 well, each one will last you quite a long time. However, I feel Skyrim has more content especially with all of its DLCs. So if you are looking for content and bang for your buck, Skyrim. However, BOTW is an incredible game as well, so you can’t really go wrong either way.

      In a sense you are correct. However, because people are trying to weigh the option of which one to buy, it's better to have a conversation than wait that long. That would be a really cool retrospective down the line.

    I’ve never really liked Skyrim. When it first came out I got it on 360 and couldn’t wait to play it, but I only ended up getting to level 8 before giving it to my brother. He only got to around level 20 before quitting. About 6 months ago I rebought Skyrim on the Xbox One. I had originally forgot why I didn’t like it which is why I bought it again. After playing for a while I began to get bored. The quests are sooooo repetitive and they feel so baron. I loved exploring the world of Skyrim but I always tried to avoid doing quests. I feel as though Skyrim isn’t good unless you use mods which is pretty disappointing.
    Recently I got a Switch and BOTW, and I have to say it is one of the best games I have ever played. The world seems so much more versatile and the story is so amazing. Whereas with Skyrim I never really cared about the story because the quests sucked. The only thing that I wished was different with BOTW is more races/monster types throughout the lands.

      TrolledYouSilly I get everything you’re saying and I respect your opinion, but how does Skyrim have repetitive quests while legend of Zelda doesn’t like everything else I got but the quests? Like there are so many different types of quests with different outcomes it’s hard to be repetitive, like if you were just talking about just Skyrim then I get that but compared to Zelda’s? I stopped playing Zelda after I beat the game because there really wasn’t anything else to do, like at least in Skyrim you had options that had such a large variety, become a assassin, join the war, become a monster, become the best wizard, be a local serial killer really the list goes on while Zelda just only allows you to be a small hero guy that can’t do anything with npc’s other than talk to them

      What? I have spent hundreds of hours in each. I spent more time exploring the smaller areas of Skyrim because there are actual things to do, whereas after getting the Korok seeds and a few other secrets, there are no real tasks in BOTW. And of course there is bias, this is an opinion video and any opinion has bias. There is no way to make a video like this without bias because everyone values and views things differently.

    I've put hours into both games and beat them multiple times. I love Skyrim more. It has a much more engaging story, far superior side quests, well crafted dungeons to delve, a great soundtrack, and its expansions and phenomenal. Only good thing BOTW does is its a wide open world and you can traverse it. It's such an empty flat world with a bland story.

    Well for the switch I think Zelda was better but Skyrim is just more legendary than Zelda when not played on switch well although you could say Skyrim is just plain more legendary than Zelda in general but that’s just my opinion lol...also I think the only other game more legendary than Skyrim could be Minecraft or bio shock infinite

      Adam Bodick Minecraft is bigger than Skyrim for sure, but Bioshock isn’t even close. The original Bioshock is a legend, but still doesn’t beat Skyrim. And while I loved Infinite, a lot of people didn’t like it.
