Every season I say to myself just grow one yellow courgette, but I have ended up with 4 and too many to eat, but like you we never know when one variety will fail even though they did well the previous year. Hope the rabbit has gone and you get those tomatoes supported. You are a good honest gardener Mark and a pleasure to watch.

They can squeeze through the tinies places that why we had to put chicken wire all around the actual chain link fence and bury it. No that the rabbit in the pot with harvested carrots and potatoes 😂. Good grief my corguettes are the same 😢. On a good note the poly is jammed with great harvests. Have a super week happy gardening, Ali 🌞🇨🇦
I think that's going to be on my list of jobs to do Ali once we're into the colder weather and things have died back a bit. The old chicken wire is coming off and new going on with it trenched into the ground. I've thought about doing that before but never got round to it.👍🌻👍

Mark ,we have a really bad rabbit problem on our alloments in Orsett ,Essex .They wiped out my cabbages a few weeks ago ,I've done everything I can on the perimeter ,so decided to chicken wire each veg patch
Think I might be heading down the same route as you Barry.
I'm leaning towards covering each be. Might be a job for Winter though when I've got a wee bit more time on my hands 👍🌻👍
Everything seems to have struggled this year, next year we will have bumper harvests 🤞
I've had same problem with my squash this year - here in Denmark. But I think it's the wet weather, so the pollinators are not very active. They startet out grate, when we had hot and dry weather, and then the rain came during June, and July has been the wettest in 135 years. They are beginning go give a little now, we have had a short period with more sun and without rain
Hi Mark, try nipping out the 1st courgette before it gets any bigger than your finger. It tells the plant to produce more. Accidentally learnt that last yr.
Lol! At 2:05 as you talk about the rabbit, some pigeons are setting up watch on the pole behind! You’re under siege, sir. My zukes are awful too. Never had this problem before. We’ve had about 6. Patty pans are a different case! If I don’t pick a three inch patty pan by the next day it’s the size of trash can lid. Weird things gardens are.
Might have to look at installing some air defences as well 😂
its been a funny old year growing wise this year. I thought most of the issues were down to not having enough time but now I'm thinking its a cross between rabbits, pigeons and rubbish weather 😂😂😂

🤞 on that fallen tomato plant, I string mine up to hopefully avoid that problem. Looking good on the plot though, nice work Mark
I strung mine up last year and never had a spot of bother with them. Tried a different configuration in the polytunnel this year and had to use canes to support a couple of the plants.
Won't be making that mistake again! 🌻👍🌻
We cleared our pea bed today, thought someone was nicking them, hundreds of pea shells in the middle, bloody rats 😏
It will find a way out even if you fix the fence

I'm thinking I might have to cover pretty much all the beds to keep them off the crops!

Great video and update mate.
I've sown Carmen F1 for years and it's the only one i do 👍. I wouldn't be so sure about that uchiki kuri not getting much bigger, i picked one the other day and it weighed 3.5kg 🤣.
Our courgettes have been absolutely rubbish this year too... normally we’re inundated and have a freezer full by now.
Its been a funny old year for some things and not others.
Loads of great cucumbers and onions but no courgettes and rubbish tomatoes.
Oh well I guess there's always next year 👍🌻👍

I've only had 3 courgettes from 3 plants this year..... it's rubbish!......I also have to keep the rabbits out of my plot!
My courgettes been the same this year. I put loads of plants in with 5 different varieties and only now a few are starting to produce 😢
