  • This video shows for 2022 shows all 14, london underground train lines. It was made to create a video that shows all the lines now on the network.
I love how it shows the amazing variety of different stations and lines that are on this fantastic train system.
    0:00 Victoria line, southbound, Euston
01:21 Waterloo and City Line, Bank
    02:57 Overground, Finchley and Frognal
    05:39 Metropolitan, Hillingdon
    06:29 Northern Line, northbound, Bank
07:36 Central Line, eastbound, Notting Hill Gate
    08:51 Bakerloo Line, southbound, Paddington
09:57 Jubilee line, northbound, Green Park
11:12 Hammersmith and City Line, westbound, Paddington
12:32 Piccadilly Line, eastbound, Earls Court
13:30 Circle line, eastbound, Sloane Square
15:11 District Line, westbound, South Kensington
16:30 Docklands Light Railway DLR, westbound, Stratford
18:10 Elizabeth Line, eastbound, Tottenham Court Road
If we are being all technical the underground itself (what is considered the metro) has 11 lines. The Docklands Light Railway DLR, Overground and Elizabeth Lines are all managed by Transport for London but are not specifically tube trains.
However, even so called underground trains go above ground when they leave Central London and that is almost half of their travel distance.
I put these lines in because for everyday people travelling around London, in practical terms they see them as underground and part of the same system.
For example, the Elizabeth Line is technically a railway and not an underground tube train which is why on the tube map it is shown with two thin lines rather than one thick one. However people access from Tottenham Court Road Station and other Central London stations underground like any other underground train.
Yes these lines do not have tube shapes for tunnels, but then neither do most District and Circle line tunnels.
So I felt that I needed to show this technicality, it is important and does matter!
However being too strict would mean that people around the world won't get to see and enjoy all of the amazing system we love so much.
As well as because they are part of the integrated system of trains we use, I especially wanted to show the Elizabeth Line as it is so fantastic, the Dockland Light Railway as it is so much fun and the Overground because of its spacious and roomy airconditioned trains.
However I have not included the trams or cable car as even though they are maintained by TFL, as I thought that would be one step too far.
I could be wrong and maybe I am, please do say your thoughts in the comments?

Has anyone noticed the fact the lady from the first scene, ACTUALLY had the audacity to get on the train 1 second before the doors shut?

The first train shown arriving at Hillingdon is a Piccadilly line deep level tube train, which as you can see is quite different from the subsurface Metropolitan line train arriving later. Both lines run on the Uxbridge branch between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge.

I have changed the chapter time start for that to 5:39, to make sure it goes to when the Metropolitan Line train starts arriving at the station.

Also not sure if this was intentional but in the chapters you put the picadilly line 2 times. No hate at all i really loved the video I'm just letting you know in case you didn't already.

I also remove the first link which mentions Piccadilly Line trains at Hillingdon station so it only mentions the Metropolitan train there and is not a repeat.
I really apprecaite how nicely you put your advice, I greatly appreciate your help and please do say if anything else comes to mind?

Although technically they aren't tube lines, when I've spoken to people they regard it as part of the London transport network and wanted to see them.
Almost half of the people who watch the videos are from around the world and I didn't want to deny them from seeing bits of the network that people love and appreciate so much.
I am into minds though about whether I've done the right thing, so maybe I have done the wrong thing?

      @LondonUndergroundTubetrains  Před rokem

      That's very interesting!
I wonder if it's because the Northern Line has older track which is noisier to run on, so the noise drowns out the acceleration noise from the motors and the trains don't accelerate as fast?
      What do you think?

    • @DJGaming-cy2nu
      @DJGaming-cy2nu Před rokem

Actually although similar, the northern line uses 1995 stock, but the jubilee uses 1996. The jubilee line trains were also built in preparation for the jubilee line extension to Stratford in 1999
