    I agree. The best bladed tool IMHO is the machete. You can get them for 5 or 10 bucks and most will last a lifetime. The blade snobs are a hilarious bunch but when you remember that humans used sharp rocks and sticks to bushcraft for thousands of years it brings it all into perspective.

      Very good point! That is a very important thing to keep in mind when looking at things.

    I agree completely with your value assessment. Something cheaper that I'm actually gonna use is more valuable to me in the longrun no matter who makes it. And I also appreciate you keeping it real about all these companies that cosplay as American just to sucker people. I'm all for American industry, but like you said: when it's unaffordable, I'll just take my business elsewhere.
