- čas přidán 28. 02. 2019
- We went on our first group road cycling ride with a coffee shop crawl from Richmond, BC to Downtown Vancouver. From $15 black coffees to homemade micro stove coffees on the beach... let's just say we're beginning to come to terms with our new roadie lifestyle.

If you're still reading this, make fun of us for riding (and even worse, ENJOYING) road cycling in the comment section below! Mahalo my dudes!
$12 for a burrito?!
You could almost get a coffee for that...
318Arnie i’m ur 100th like
HA!! 😂🤣
you can get a steak in my country
You can get 6 burritos with drinks on my country with $12
Next do Roadies on Mountain Bikes drinking Beer!
That would actually be interesting. This shit's way too millennial for me. Most boring video from IFHT
@@jonborg5618 Coffee is a millennial thing now?
@@mahalomydude yes, dedicating a whole day to visiting coffee shops and having a name for it is
Jonny Borg it’s the generations culture.. you will appreciate it more when every kid has there brain plugged into there computer in 20 years hahaha
@jonny borg
It's a parody of Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars getting Coffee. It's good content for getting to know the guys. If it's not your cup of tea, that doesn't make it bad. It's hard to make everyone happy all of the time.
Love the How To Be a College Student references, "underwater basket weaving", etc.
I think the first coffee shop was the best by far, the barista's were so bubbly and happy, I think it was *WAY* worth the price, I feel like they could put anyone in a good mood.
A 20min IFHT video... what else can we ask for?
GET CAFFEINATED MY DUDES!!
Two road bikers disliked this vi- wait, what?
Oof
paradoxical
Dislike cause I'm a mountain biker😉
should have gone to tim hortons
Rip
Did I just see flat pedals on a road bike?
That's how my road bike is setup. Raceface Chester's with Chrome Kursk 2.0 shoes, no clips, just push the shoe into my Chester pins and away I go. 60 mile rides no problem. #EndTheClipObsession2019 lol
and disk brakes... smh
@@outdoorsunlimited5492 One day you rim brake obsessionists are going to have to come around to realize disc brakes are where it's at. Unless you're going for a 10lbs climbing bike, there's no reason to have rim brakes anymore. It's a dying mindset that you need rim brakes to ride road.
I run flats with rat traps
Check out ibikeinaddidas down in Cali. Bren does all her riding in addidas on flats century, doubles. La to San Diego and back. Don't need to be in clips.
Pure Roadie Fit Tip: Kaz will feel more comfortable in the drops if he rotates the bars down to a more level position. Great video🤘🤘🤘
Indeed level the bottom of the drops with the ground. That Checkpoint is an amazing bike by the way, I have the exact same model.
It’s fun watching the video and recognizing where you guys are
The way this video held my attention for so long is awesome. I enjoyed every second of it. Good stuff my dudes!!
Never thought id be so interested by a road bike video. Looked like a fun adventure. Might have to try it some day.
8:35 matching the music are the details I've come to love on this channel
you're production quality went from great to basically oscar worthy keep it up my dudes!
"Mahalo my Burrito" needs to be a t-shirt
vonpupees ur profile pic looks like my dog
YES
I used to ride with the Vancouver bike club , a long time ago . Great club , well organized, friendly, safe ,best memories of Vancouver. Thanks Steve B.
More content like this please. Great to watch your adventures and enjoy the sense of humor thrown in.
‘I don’t like the way that baby’s looking at me’ lol this reminds me of real bros of Simi Valley
such quality as always. love you guys
As long as it's not corporate👏👏
Your guys filming and editing in mtb and biking, in general, is some of the best I've seen (apart from those on film budgets). So I just want to tell you guys to keep doing what your doing cause it's amazing
Sweet video! And 20 minutes long!
We need part 2 but than in Amsterdam.
So much fun! Best road ride video EVERRRR!
Wonderful episode!
“it feels like your running at an incredible rate” beat movie quote ever
Your my editing idols! I love the style of all of your videos. Cant wait for the next one!
This was great, more videos like this!
Im happy you guys live in richmond, i enjoy seeing the other places you can go on a bike other from the skytrain or a car.
Really a great Video had so much fun watching it.
But there is one problem...
it ends.
I’m watching this while getting ready for a morning coffee ride. I’m now more inspired for the coffee than the ride.
I love the staircase story, your buddies took you in and had a good rest of the night. That's awesome!
Love the vid. My first time riding no 3 road led to me being driven off the road by a driver who believed that the bike lane was just a really long dedicated right turn lane and just pushed me into the curb. Next you gotta try some CX to find some middle ground between rd and mtn.
such a cool video nice guys keep it up love your stuff and especially something new like this
so cool, I bike from Richmond to Vancouver quite often on that same path! I also found Kaz's bike signals really funny.
It has some nutty flavors to it. "I think gutter water just dripped inside of it"!!!! When you think about how expressionless and casual he said it makes me crack up.
OMG... I've been watching for 4 days and Kaz still has no coffee! Just ride already!!! LOL
I so love the content of this video man. I wish I can experience that life too
Can't wait for the underwater basket weaving vid...
Prolly left comment already but this short bike ride trip are one of best videos in the channel i like
Nice choice with the checkpoint! That thing can do it all man!
Awesome video man and also the coffee of course
Pretty sick ! I love your films.
Gravel is the closest I’ve gotten to a road ride 😆
You can tell Matt loves the retro look
Growing up as a mtb rider, I've really been enjoying fixed gear riding the past few years! Even though you're on the street, you can find ways to get your adrenaline going!
Matchstick Fraser st (Stop #2) is my local, I live like 4 blocks away! Amazing coffee, good pastries and sandwiches are the staff are chill.
Faebrew looks cool, I want to check that place out... great vid guys, coffee rules.
This is so well made
I hate to say this as a mountain biker but this really motivated me to go on a road ride
I hate to agree with you
Start now, don't be one of those people that only rides MTB, or only rides Road, or only rides Cyclo... ok well if you only ride Cyclo Races you're probably fit enough to ride anything you want.
I love riding road just as much as riding MTB, you just have to understand that neither of them is anything like the other, but the benefits you get from riding both is awesome. The fun of riding road to me is just getting out and exploring, by that I don't mean stopping 10 times to get food and shop, but you just go ride and see things you don't see when you're driving your car. It's like an adventure. MTB is all about the rush and excitement and just getting stupid on trails doing crazy stuff you wouldn't do anywhere else.
Also, if you get something along the lines of a Gravel bike you can ride road all day but then hit some light off roading too. My road bike is actually a Cannondale Slate Ultegra, I LOVE that bike. I can ride road all day or hit some rough brick roads for a challenge, take it off road if I wanted to, etc. It just opens up the 'fun' part of road riding.
I'm a road cyclist, but I totally admire mountain bikers. The difficulty of some of those trails is insane & the coordination required is huge.
As a Vancouver local, Richmond has the worst drivers on earth
I guess you've never been to Massachusetts or New York lol.
@@MistaGeezy90 it's true though I live in Richmond and it's 85% old Asian men
@@Alex-kv1rh I don't doubt it's bad there but I would never ride on the road around here people are nuts. People really just don't care at all. Pedestrians get hit all the time and people don't even stop.
I come from Richmond and I think the opposite
You must have never been to Quebec lmao
8:09 Please read this, It’s sooo worth reading haha.
“Competitive underwater basket weaving”
Props to whoever wrote this because it killed me😂
hahaha that's hilarious berekant 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@jimi272 i was going to post that as well, ya beat me to it, rolmfao!! great signal!
Haha these guys sure know comedy berkant!
It's from a NOFX song iirc
Comedians in cars getting coffee my favorite show to watch
Riding on the highway next to speeding vehicles is always scarier than riding near a cliff side.
Kaz, those are definitely the right pedals for road!😂
Run what ya brung!
Wonderful friendship 👍🏼 keep shredding guys. Mahalo my dudes 🤙🏼
Love it. Lets go for a coffee ride one day. New fan here in Ontario.
spring bike cleaning/upkeep video before the season goes under way? All the bikes on stands in someone’s garage couple beers couple games of smash bros?
I wish to join you one day. Great vid. New fan here in Ontario.
Ifht rules
👌🏼
Get out of here
Taking my first trip to VBC & been looking for Bike routes, places to eat and best coffee... think this video covered it 😂 now just need to figure out if I’m being my bike or find a place to rent a proper bike.
Fun video guys..
Love these videos :)
OY, it was cool meeting you guys at Faebrew ! Love the content but next time keep your road bikes on the road. HaHA us roadies have a bad enough name as it is WOOT
Nice trip!
Oh look at that, 'that' by the way was a McLaren 570s if anyone was wandering
I wander frequently, but then I realize that I need to get back on track
Jeremy Finlay HAHAHAHHA
Wasn't that a 540c?
Just going to casually park my McLaren on the street here, don't mind me.
7:57 is me getting from home to the trails
Sugar rush my dudes ! 🤙🏻
Awesome video my dude 🤙🏽
Riding bikes made me a coffee drinker. One of the best decisions I've ever made
Damn i missed that first spot while I was in Van...another reason to be back
Röy good vid!
Such a nice one. I just like youre stile of filming and just how u Are :) greets from germany mahalo my dudes
Mah dude, I dont even drink coffee but damn I wanna visit that first coffee shop! He should make that a brand and start more of those coffee shops!
@Mahalo my Dude - you were in my neighbourhood near the Matchstick. Four months into the future, you could have seen the stickers you put on my bike rack. :)
That was lit fam
Our guys who just had like 4 coffees on 1 day: Good night! XD
The dump instantly hits you after the coffee haha truth
mahalo my caffeinated dudes. glad I could see a sunset at Stanley park, since I live across the city.
I was shook when I saw the title. Lol
Yass new vid😄🤘
coffee nerd checking in, need to hit up faebrew. damn
As a mountain biker , Not gonna lie one bit this makes me want to get a road
Get a gravel bike, I have a checkpoint just like the one in the video. It's great on the road and can ride off road. Off road rides that would be too tame and boring on a mountain bike are very cool on a gravel bike.
@@MAGAIVER Agreed, Gravel bike or something similar. The new Cannondale Topstone looks pretty awesome too. What I tell people is that if you don't plan on seriously racing, don't get a 'road' bike. Get something a little more comfortable that you can use on multiple terrains and won't beat you up if you want to just casually go for a ride too.
Mahalo My Dude, Dude coffee tour group ride? I'd be down. Anyways, the content is Bueno as always!
Lol this was so funny
Great video Mr. Marty
Brooo i need my Colombian coffe
Jajajajajaja sick vídeo
Your videos are inspiring
This made me ride my bike and drink coffee, and Im already out of coffee.
Ballsy leaving those bikes sitting there in Victory Square.
Yeah boy!!
damn, that's the exact reason i want a road bike
Please visit Alberta banff you guys would be astonished and capture some amazing footie !
where i live we have a bike shop thats really good and it makes coffee sooooo goooood
Mom definitely picked them up from the beach.
You. Rock!
:-D This is brilliant after a day of delicous flavors it almost does not matter how full the streets are and the mood stays high. The self made coffee in that espressomaker to end up the delicious day has the hardest job. How can it taste good after all that feasting? Danke, ein schönes Video!
I do this every day on my ebike here in Vancouver. Maybe i'll run into you guys one day soon
Would never expect Richmond to have a coffee bar like that :Om
👏 coffee 👏 review
Damn, thats some ride but looks like fun
im glad underwater basket weaving is still a thing
