I hope you appealed that ticket mate, its its a pre ordered item through the UBER app you have a 20 minute waiting period as long as they see you loading within the 5 minute observation period. Take a screenshot of the UBER order, which shows that it was order before you accepted the job and arrived to the collection point.

You have 20 mins pickup/delivery.
As long as you were parked during applicable times, ie from 10-4 usually, then appeal should be fine. Say you were loading with proof. Remember, no stopping or no parking doesnt mean no loading.
Red route markings on the road, indicates no stopping at all. Unfortunately ticket fully deserved.
@@reggiequeefAlso if there are yellow dashes on the kerb along with the yellow lines. These will either prohibit or restrict loading/unloading.

@@froggin-zp4nr He wouldn't have been fine just moving his bike on the pavement, as parking on the pavement is illegal in London. The fine might have been cheaper though.

It was a fine for parking on a red route the sign says no stopping not no parking. It is not really a parking ticket it is a fine related to a driving offence. It is is technically a commercial stop but for large vehicle only to drop off an not park. You can't stop on a red route except if you are broken down or genuine emergency.
This is terrible 😔 but also find it ridiculously funny 😭

It's because the lines are red. I don't live in London but compared to yellow lines, red lines are stricter.
@@richardvalvona1159 The whole point of disallowing people to stop/park there at specific hours is that usually traffic is very busy during those times and stopped vehicles will make the congestion worse by blocking one of the lanes. In this case, there was almost no traffic at all, the whole time we see literally only 2 cars at the traffic light down the road, and he was obviously parked there only for a few mins (delivery motorbike with an opened basket)... no one was inconvenienced by him so she could have easily ignored it for a bit.

I wish at that hour of the morning they had used some discretion and let you off it's obvious you were collecting a delivery and well done on being a gentleman and speaking politely. I feel your frustration when you got the ticket. I’m also a delivery driver and I’ve had a ticket that was about 400 Swedish krona or 29.30 GBP I parked where I shouldn’t so it was my stupidity. I’m sure you come back stronger the next day.

Coincidentally in my block of flats the supermarket lorry drivers (tesco, m&s, ocado, etc...) have 1 man on the watch for wardens while the others do their jobs. I think its ridiculous that you can just get fined for doing your job, especially this type of service.

America has a lot of battleship/carrier/submarine museums where old retired ships are put. Only difference is you can actually walk on the inside too. Me personally I have been aboard the USS Alabama which is one of the last American battleships built. It’s truly massive and just stunning!

That ticket shows the sad state of the world we now live in, there is no allowance by traffic wardens for fair play. I appreciate you shouldn't be parked there, but it was early, the space was empty and you were just inside the shop. Well done on just accepting it.

@@rocketpig1914 She isn't even a PEO (Parking enforcement Officer), her shoulder patch suggest she is a PCSO, actual police officer. they don't get bonus for issuing tickets, all they do is making others' life more miserable and meanwhile don't actually reduce crime regardless (since the penalty and our council taxes are paid into their funding after all...)

I think this comment concludes the ticket situation and the reason they get so much hate. There is no warnings and they don't have the principles of a community. Any type of officers (either proper ones or just support ones should lead by example and educate / remind people about the society rules). The fine should be the last resort. Yet, they hide and lurk in the area, hunting for the next target to hand over a PCN. That's just plain stupid wrong, but hey, it happens.

True, her choice of parking could potentially pose a danger to other road users if her van blocked another driver's view of pedestrians using the crossing, whereas his choice of crossing would simply pose an inconvenience if a blue badge holder (or rather 4 blue badge holders, given that there are other spaces available either side of him) wanted to park outside the Greggs during the minute or so that he was inside collecting the food, plus she wasn't actually preventing him from parking there, just punishing him for doing so, but lets not start applying basic logic to parking violations.

@@jackaylward-williams9064 He was in parking bay that anyone can park in only between 10:00 and 16:00 between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00. He did not park in a disabled bay. The separate parking bay to the North operates the same hours, but is for loading and disabled only between 10:00 and 16:00 in the 07:00 and 19:00 time period. If had a blue badge he still would of got a ticket. Red routes are TFL roads and have zealous Metropolitan police wardens. I once got a ticket for dropping a passenger on a single red and it took 93 seconds for me to help the elderly passenger out of the Taxi. In law l have as long as l need, so l won on appeal.

1:00 used to work there at hermanos colombian coffee. but it was very briefly. and you're right, they have some amazing coffee. they roast it all themselves. not sure if the roastry is still inside that location because they were planning to move it, but it's cool to see all the equipment and stuff. and all their different blends of coffee

About the perennial drink spill worry. I may have a solution!. Large rubber bands size 150 x 6mm 500g per bag. Ok its an added expense! but it will fit right over a lge or medium mcdonalds drink but at least the lid will not come off. Any brand but I use q-connect.

Only just discovered your channel. Second one I have watched. And I have subscribed. Totally foreign concept to me. I am English. And know London a bit. But I left 25 years ago and went to Australia. I now live rural Qld. We don't have any food delivery service. Nearest McDonald's is an hour drive away. Fascinating watching how all these orders work. Just never seen anything like it. Wouldn't know where to start.
