You are so cute , so talented , so smart and so creative. An amazing woman.
Charging $10 for plans of an idea that's been around for about 10 years now and are available for free other places on the internet.... alright then.
@@MrClarkisgodTrue. However, that's her perogative.
Very nice! I see one thing I will add when I build this. I will duplicate the armrests and attach them with a hinge on the top supports. This way everyone sitting on the bench has an armrest. A locking mechanism will need to be added also so the armrests can be locked up before transforming to table mode. Let me know what you think.
Ok bought the plans... we are having trouble with the arms... the plan says to cut all of them to a certain degree angle. While trying to assemble it is not flushing together. Watching your video back it appears that your arm pieces have no degree cuts to them. Please help.
Finally someone who pre-drills for the screws. Pre-drilling makes the joint stronger and pulls the wood together much better, thumbs up April !!
Not a native English speaker here , but why is it called pre-drilling when you not drilling afterwards. Should it not be called just 'drilling'.
@@webosm6494, Because it's being done before (pre) putting the screw in.
There is nothing like true ingenuity to inspire us grampaws to get something together for our g-kids. I love the utility and versatility you have created April. Thank you so much for taking the time to show us how to make cool stuff!!!
Okay, I am finally done binge watching your show. I wish I had discovered you years ago; but finding you now has been perfect timing with covid slowing my business to a stand still. I am amazed at how much you have thrown yourself into this life and how proficient you have become so quickly. I have learned quite a bit from your work and tips. I have two sons, no daughters, but if I had a daughter, I would want her to be like you...curios, fearless, hard working and fun loving. Your parents are blessed to have you. It is clear why you have so many subscribers. Your sound, filming, projects, workshops, homes and business have improved so quickly in six short years. I love your show, and I think it is time to sell the Harley and set up a better shop. Great work! Thanks for taking the time to make, film, edit and share.
Glad you enjoyed them. Thanks for the kind words.
amazing ! consider adding latches to connect them together in case someone accidentally moves one and you had food on the table .
If you'd like, I don't really think these will be moved together very often, if at all.
I think it’s an option to combine to a “full” table however April sees these sets as a bench and table. Two halves separate.
That was my very first thought.
@@RomaTomassi This bench/table is a nice to have, in case you need to have a picnic/bbq table assembled real quick.
I see this being mainly used as benches, placed across one another. When family and friends come, and a table needs to be put together, there it is. Just move the benches together. Otherwise, they serve a purpose perfectly fine without ever needing to be joined.
*MiniBusPug* would latches really do the job of keeping the two together? This is a pretty heavy bench, after all.
Can see that extra joy on your face, probably you imagined the kids enjoying the innovative idea. Cool work April. I loved it. 😍👏👏
Wow this is the best timber convertible table and bench I have seen so far online with the most cleanest lines great efficiencies.
April you're an awesome little doer - YOU ROCK!
Half a bench will be great for tiny balconies yet one has the option to double up for larger gathering especially those BBQ which you can't find the space for with regular furniture so innovative options for so many different home footprints.
In most convertible furniture I've seen they neither quite looks like a recognizable as a normal bench or picnic set this design looks beautiful as both - very feminine of you to consider the aesthetic appeal and so simple and smooth transition to fold not level of origami difficulty of some other conversions.
That/those benches/tables/table will come in handy when visitors come over for a barbecue and/or backyard party.
My son built 6 of these 8 years ago for his Eagle Scout project. The two prototypes are still used around our house! We used treated lumber.
Very cool, April. And I love how you always have a smile on your face while doing what you love. You make others love what you do too with that smile of yours! :)
Dear April , you are AMAZING .
Hey April, I am happy for you that you have done so good in building your channel. I have been a sub since the video where you quit your job to do your channel. You have come a long way. Hope your having a great Summer, stop to smell the roses as it were. All the best from Oregon, C.
Your great to watch love the job instructions and fit too 👍
My dad an I built a folding table like this, but haven't seen one for awhile! Thanks for good memories of working projects with favorite dad!
Congratulations April, when I have time I follow your videos, your work is very beautiful, I work with carpentry here in Brazil, I always try to see the work of other countries, and your work is very capricious, but what I like to see is yours joinery as it is organized and clean, congratulations you are a very talented person, a big and strong hug for you

April sempre trazendo lindos projetos..
Acompanho a anos.

Hey April I love your videos, you’ve inspired me to start doing wood working. Thank you. And I love your channel❤️❤️
Just found your channel and the wife and I love your work! Looking forward to putting some of your ideas into play in our new home! Keep being awesome! 🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Hey April I love the table!! I have a project idea for you that I would find handy! Make a utility beach wagon. It will need to be lightweight and you get extra points if it has a built in cooler, radio, umbrella holder!
Looks amazing April! Great work
Very cool, April~! I might have to add this to my backyard build list. We can always use places to sit down and eat/play/etc...
Thanks~!! :-)
Great job April, keep up the great work and videos. Thanks for sharing with us, we enjoy watching how you are doing.
Another great project in the books. I'm going to try and make this project, of I do I'll send you some pictures.
Keep the great videos coming.
Thanks for sharing and God bless
Glad you enjoyed it Roy!
Greetings from Marrakesh, Morocco and many many many thanks for sharing your insighful help and creation.
Really fantastic work, April! Nicely done!!! 😃
I think about building something like that for my parents house, maybe even for their farm! 😃
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I didn’t know I needed a picnic table till I saw this video
Love it! I agree with a few other commenters here that maybe some alignment/latching system would help hook up the table halves (sort of like a leaf in an expandable dining table). And I'd have to add a hole in the middle for the patio umbrella to go in.
Cool project, April. Thanks for sharing it. Stay safe and cool. My family in Fort Worth says that it's brutally hot there lately.
Excelente!
Saludos desde Huatusco Veracruz México!
Thank you! Greetings from Texas. Merry Christmas!
@@AprilWilkerson igualmente feliz navidad 🤗
I saw one of these once and was curious how itd work. Nice project! Thanks for the how to. I might have to grab these plans.
Well done April Wilkerson
Just got the Plans for this, will be making 2 of them. Will be using 3 lengths 32in of 2 x 4 to bolt the 2 top's of the table together when using it as a table undo to use as a bench
Parabéns 👏 você é talentosa, admiro muito o seu trabalho 👏
I like the design. I have a suggestion. This design looks like it wouldn't be very sturdy the way the legs are. My suggestion, but add another 2x4 on bottom of each leg underneath the shorter one. Then, attatch a 2x4 on underside of bench on each end just like you have in the middle, then attatch another 2x4 attatched to the short 2x4 under bench and to the longer 2x4 attatched on bottom part of leg at an angle to give it more lateral support just like on a standard picnic table. And if need be, if robust people are going to use it, then maybe attatch another set of legs in the middle of each bench, if possible. That would prevent swag. I have that on my picnic table I have now. This is just a suggestion. You did an AWESOME job, April.
Such an awesome bench! Very cool that you use simple straps as well. Those things rock.
Wood working is so Therapeutic.......So much fun!!!!!! Whenever I’m shop working, I hate getting phone call.
That is a great idea - I could see something like that around the farm in the future!
Yes! It's a perfect farm project. In fact, I was on a friend's farm when I saw the design for the first time.
@@AprilWilkerson many of your projects have given me inspiration for projects here on our farm. I watched your dust collection Cart video for inspiration and designed something similar for my shop - I love it.
Thanks for all you do on your channel - great work!
As always, love watching you create
Is there anything you can't do? Amazing woman and an eye for detail i bet you have a proud family
Strangely enough, I put some cedar boards in the overhead of my garage. I'm sure they are plenty dry now. I'm half way there. Materials wise. Thanks for the cut list and plans. Your the best !
Thank You April For Your Nice Folding Videos.
Yes! Always wanted a good video for this project. Want to make one day. And now AW ... The Woodworking Jedi Master herself ... has made a video about it. Yes!
Awesome job April! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Amazing a table. Healt to your hands.
That's awesome. I've seen something like this before but couldn't find the plans. Thanks so much
The dog getting scared at 00:48 😂
Saw that, poor thing freaked out big time !!
Awesome job April!
This is one of my favorites so far!
Good job. Slick build. People will have a 100 variations of it. The fencing you've done, To The Moon , 👍
I really enjoy your channel and I am learning a lot skills watching you work!
Essa garota eh demais.
Te admiro demais...tao jovem e tao talentosa...parabens
I have a set of metal and composite bench tables... We use them together all the time. When they're in bench form they're kept around our firepit.
they look great nice job april. l am going to make one for the front garden
I love all your ideas and pink building stuff I love the cap
Excelente trabajo y buen conocimiento de herramientas. Gracias
Nice as usual. Hope you're staying safe.
Nice job April! Thanks for sharing it with us!💖👍👌😎JP
I am always amused that nearly every project she makes is subjected to the AW stress test, aka dancing on it. :-)
Watched Jimmy Diresta make one of these. Great job
I would have liked to see Aprils version work the way Jimmys did with a single bench into a double-sided table seat
Great idea missy and really good video! Thanks for sharing.
great work April
Funny you should post this now. I was looking at one at the farmers market on saturday.
very beautiful folding bench,congratulations 👍👍👍👍
This is awesome! Very cool idea to turn a bench into a table or a picnic table!
Top job they look amazing thanks for sharing
Very nice video April
Love your videos, just happened across one I've missed. Quick note to people going off of the video rather than the plans, your arm rest radius will be heavily defined by how much tape you've already used 😂. Keep up the great work, a hwell as inspiring people to make their own!
Great Job April, Stay Safe XX .
Buen trabajo!!! saludos desde Costa Rica.
Love your idea appreciated your time to show and help...
Way too cool. I watched this video with my wife and I'm making one for us.
Greetings from Nicaragua!
You inspire me to do good projects
Another awesome project!!!!! Thanks so much for sharing.
Hey there April! Just wanted to say that your designing abilities are incredible! Ive just expanded from cosplay foam work to woodworking and i'm loving your videos! And, the "Mighty Morphin Picnic Table" is speaking my language lol.
I'm glad you like it! The original concept isn't mine, I actually saw one at a friends house. However, I did tweak the design some to make the arms a little prettier looking.
@@AprilWilkerson it looks great, thanks for sharing.
Wow you gave me an idea instead of having a Murphy type table for our small house. I will use this type of build but for indoor use. I will make like a sofa not a bench type. And by using metal i have a friend who can do welding.
Thank you for this build👍👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome! Enjoy the build. :)
Thanks for sharing that, well said!
April this is a great project
Another great project!Thank you
very nice job April 👍👍😎👍👍
Awesome job thanks, from NC keep it up.
I have been wanting to do this I am so glad you decided to do it
amazing~! Very good design.
It is efficient for space utilization.
My goodness that is very smart and a great idea for family gatherings.👍
Muy bonito, trabaja exelente april
Your ideas are getting better April.I still think the guitar was the best.
Just saw your video, very impressive. Love and wishes from London ❤️
FANTÁSTICO BELOS TRABALHOS MUITO PROFISSIONAL! PARABÉNS "BRASIL"
Looks like the Cicadas were also adding their own commentary! I was wondering about the slats being a pain to sit back against, but it actually gives you a perfect spot to add cushions, or glue to foam on to.
connectors for backseat/under table you can hide drilling them through the boards 2&3 extrude all and 1&4 extrude 75%, you get stability which you need and comforbility for back when you use as a bench.
Great job nice work thanks 👍 🙂
Awesome ! Love it .
Thank you! Thanks for watching.
@@AprilWilkerson already bought the plans . That's an awesome , practic and beautiful furniture .
I will do this first and then i will comeback for something else .
Thank you for what you do .
awesome design!!!
Thank you, just what I was looking for!
Great! Glad you found it useful. Thanks for watching.
Interesting that people who cannot make a bird feeder like to give a thumbs down to talented craftsmen who are willing to share and instruct.
very cool... we'll def check out the plans... much live from South Africa
April, you are smart!
cool project, very creative. question: how much weight can the tables hold up? i feel like you could make some minor modifications to make the "table mode" much more stable. in any case, great idea!
Excellent work! Love your videos
That's so cool!! Cedar......smells so nice.
I think I would have cut the end of every board before using them on the benches and table top. At 7:00 you can see how the ends of the boards do not look neat and uniform. Some were cut but most were not. I always make sure I do that on projects I do. Just an idea. Do it or not, but it does make it look better. I also believe that those uncut ends make it easier to absorb water into the wood.
