Joe Schmoe I know, as simple as it is and with the beginning noise is Frank with his teeth and a pencil! In the disco days it was a real anthem not YMCA which we hated and woe the DJ who dared to play is resulting in mass exodus off the dance floor to stand and glare at him! Funny that there is no extended version. The few words a key to real disco such as Fly Robin Fly, love to Love you baby, I feel Love, Loves Theme with none even, The Hustle, and the loooong ones like Love to, Dont let me be misunderstood, Disco Inferno, and Born to be Alive.
Wonderful era .. I grew up on this music, great disco .. happy, classy, brings you back to great memories and puts you in a good mood … can’t stop smiling while listening
I first heard this in early 1977 when I was 12 and at boarding school (co-ed),looking forward to the end of term and the Easter holidays. The boarding house I was in for the first two years had a games room with a table tennis table and billiards table among the things in it,and they were probably playing it in there as the first thing it reminds me of is being there. They had a table tennis competition and a billiards competition, and I won the billiards competition (from a field of 32),and received a small cash prize from the houseparents; having a small snooker table to play on at home helped. The entrance to the games room, via at least a couple of steps down, was from the corner of our TV room, which had a colour television set with a fairly large screen for the times,in a wooden cabinet with a pair of shuttable doors on the front of it. There was continues soft bench-style seating round two sdes facing TV,and person-sized soft mats on which some kids would lie to be closer to the screen, plus a table covered in books, comics and magazines inside a bay window looking out onto the extensive gardens. We had regular end-of-term school discos and naturally this song got a spin in more than one of them.

I discovered this band in about 1995. From that moment on I became a huge fan of 70's and 80's disco music. I was bored with eurodace and rave, so this classic disco was something more exciting for me.
I actually prefer videos like this one to the more 'arty' sophisticated videos they tried to make in the 1980s and 90s, simplicity is genius, just 4 people dancing the park, nothing more is needed.
