I relate to this song so much, because I am the oldest girl in my family (2nd oldest kid) and I have 3 younger siblings that I’m always looking after, and my older brother to make sure he doesn’t get into trouble or anything and then whatever complaints the adults in my family has and it’s just pressuring. On top of that, the oldest sister’s song, “What Else Can I Do?” Talks about how that character has to be the picture perfect older sister and always put on a smile even in her deepest, darkest times. These songs are my safe space and kinda reminds me that I’m not alone when it comes to being the older one with a lot of pressure. My older brother doesn’t have a lot of high expectations from our parents because he usually gets bad grades in school and he isn’t that perfect older sibling that he’s supposed to be, so I’m kinda forced to be that way. But when I hear these songs, and kpop songs too, I feel safe, acknowledge and free
I know right. I feel so similarly, I have to be the tough one all the time and the pressure sometimes never stops but I find relaxation in creating and that's helpful. I'm glad you have found what works for you and your safe place 💗
