- I'm here with my 2004 Yamaha Vstar 650 Custom. I got this almost 2 months ago but didn't have a chance to share it with you. I was doing a lot of work on it behind the scenes to get it how I wanted it maintenance wise and performance wise.
I recently installed some Cobra Drag Exhaust Pipes, air pod filter kit, re-jetted the carbs and some other goodies to get it running much better than stock. I definitely see the difference in power.
It's a very fun and agile midsize cruiser to ride. It also handles the highway with no problems.
Have a look and listen to it rumble - Stealth - Auta a dopravní prostředky
I was yelling shift when you were on the highway but then I realized you were in top gear lol! I do love the fact shadows you can change sprockets to drop lower rpm’s and raise top speed
Mine tends to spool up quite high rpm on the highway it kind of sucks considering i love this bike it just seems like it could use one more gear
Just picked up mine and same as well for sure can use one more gear after 60-65 rpms sky rocket
It could use another gear, but I’ve heard these V-Star have low compressions engines, which means I guess it’s meant to rev out a little high, I’ve taken my V-Star 650 to about 100 on the highway, fully pinned. 😂
Yamaha go vroom
Is this a better choice than a Honda shadow spirit? Im 5"10. Longer legs.. And only 155 lbs
Hi,I am new rider .155lbs 5'4 please advise is she easy to handle and ride with my size and BTW your bike has great sound😀😀😀😀😀
Yes I’ve got one and my missus is the same as u and has no issues trust me it’s a great bike I ride it everywhere the only thing I think is wrong is it needs one more gear on the highway but it’s still a great bike
What exhaust was that?
Maybe street!
I have one of these motorcycles. I agree. It just seems like the bike just needs a sixth gear for highway speeds. To me the motorcycle is pretty slow.
Its a cruiser, its meant to cruise
@@JasonSmith-uo7br Yes, it does cruise, it just feels like it could use a taller sixth gear. Geez!
top speed on this bike?
She’ll cruise 80 all day
naked bike 101 mph (rev limiter kicks in around 7200 RPM
Can do 100mph pretty comfortably, people get anxious about the revs getting pretty high around there but it’s pretty inconsequential at the end of the day, it does fine
Besides it’s a cruiser anyway, if you wanna go faster get an 1100 or a different type of bike
I'm 6'3", 270lbs and it maxes out at about 88 mph for me. I cruise at 80mph no problem but it's most comfortable around 70-75 mph in my opinion.
Not for highway!
It handles just fine on the highway. It will do 85-90 all day. If you’re doing long distance highway riding there’s definitely better choices but she can easily get you wherever you need. These are h😅gher revving motors so people aren’t used to how high the rpm’s go at highway speeds. They aren’t Harley’s it’s just how it was designed
Vstar 650 not good for highways , needs 6 gear . It's ok for ride around the town....
It can handle it fine all day…. That bike was designed to run at freeway speeds all day long….. all bikes feel like they need another gear…. My 1200cc sportster felt like it needed another gear, but was fine..
you obviously don't ride, a beginner, or young
@@tenzel1231 me?
@josephedwards8992 not at all in talking about the guy who said its not a highway bike, now I'm only 46 but been riding since early 90s and at that time a 650 was a medium size bike these guys now song is not big enough for the highway are either stupid, don't ride, or young as hell.
@@tenzel1231 gotcha yeah I know a 650 will go clear across the country and back…
