- How I Structure My Independent Learners Day|| My 6th Graders Homeschool Schedule
Today I am sharing my 6th graders homeschool schedule for this year. She is a very independent learner so her schedule looks very different then the rest of my kids. I hope this can give you some ideas for how you can help your independent learners as well.

She gets up early and finishes school?! 😯 Mine is the opposite 🤭 So I have to look for ways to motivate her to get things done earlier
She is my only one who does that consistently.
My oldest is pretty independent but takes all day to do work. We use the Not consumed student Planner
They have an incredible planner!
My 6th graders get up at noon and starts with her school work after her brunch!!! We love checklists for their planners!!! We also use trackers for their math and LA curriculums!!! We do one to one study sessions and check in often. I don’t tell my older kids to take over my youngest‘s school work but I don’t mind either, I just love to see them bonding in anyway so if that’s what they do oh well as long as they don’t get burned out!!!
❤️
Having checking in times throughout the day is SO good! Such a great tip ☺️☺️ I am working on checking in with my 6th Grader more often this year as well.
Yes it is one of my major goals this school year
I love those ideas Katie!!
🥰
Love seeing how we have similar things and how we have a few things different.
Same
How long approximately does she spend per subject ? I have plans but in the past my older son wouldn’t get through it all. He is not a motivated learner either :P
What are the sticks and picture cards in your intro? Where did you get them?
It’s Jr geo stick amzn.to/3pFFxCJ
Do u have her do it at a certain time of day.. cuz if I let my son choose when he forgets then I forget and it don't get done
She needs to have her list of things done before our afternoon meeting time
Do you have a video on what your afternoon meeting looks like? 👀
@@homeschoolonadime I will be putting out a video showing that in Sep or Oct.
what is the photography course? Is there a link? I am trying to have a fun year next year not so much busy work. thanks!
