Ryu all of the weapons in DS3 have a special move you can perform with L2 in 2 handed mode, the uchikatana has a great one it was killing me not seeing you use it last time. Also, the reason you were struggling to parry is not all shields have parry, some have other moves / abilities (the kite shield you were using actually allows you use your weapons special move even when in 1 handed mode, with certain weapon pairings it's super OP)
@@stevengarrett2587 nope, quite a few of the medium and larger shields either use the weapon skill, or a shield bash. The lighter shields are the ones that parry.
Yo ryu i just finished your elden ring playthrough about a week ago and now i get to see the ds3 playthrough! Its like Christmas came early! Ds3 is a blast! One of my favorites! Hope you enjoy the game dude!
I love your souls play throughs . As well as your other content. Been a fan for years. You should do a Bloodbourne play through. I bet a bunch of people would really enjoy that.

Watching not use WA's( Weapon Arts) kills me... how could you not test all of the attack buttons? What kind of gamer are you?! Love the vids though 👍 such fun to watch ❤
Deacons of the Deep are easy BUT with that kind of weapon that doesn't do a lot of damage its another story. On my side I always use strong weapon and I've never seen that cloud (even if I played 5 time the game) cause i kill him quickly
In short, the 'child' brain, or call it how ever you like, remains, you just work with what you got and make the most of it, yes it has some disadvantages but it also has great advantages, you kind of, in a way, 'play' an adult, but you arent 100% a child either, it's a nice mix 😁 edit: not to forget, everyone has a child in them, but this is different, not to be confused

99% sure all shields have parry, its the number of frames that allow parry changes for each shield. So some shields have longer parry windows
