But it’s stupid to be surprised that these teens haven’t watched them when they weren’t even alive when they came out. Not everyone cares to watch older movies.
And having access to the internet doesn’t mean you have access to every movie out there. Not everyone has a streaming app, and these streaming apps do miss out on a lot of movies. So, yeah there are plenty excuses to why they wouldn’t have seen these old movies

I knew all of it. Though they're mainstream horror films. The only one I almost didn't get was Silence of the Lambs until I saw Buffalo Bill. They should have done Evil Dead over Army of Darkness since AoD is more of an action/adventure film.
Evil Dead was from the 80's tho and they were looking at 90's horror movies in this video. Army of Darkness came out in 92, which is why they chose that one. I will agree that AoD was more action/adventure than horror tho.
