you have to apply tyhe Particular effect onto a solid layer. But if you watch the video closely, you can then set it to transparent, that way it'll be over your design.

Do you know why i can't import a custom sprite ? When i'm trying to add one of my images, my import is blank but i really don't understand why

Hmmmm good question. What is the file format? Have you tried using a PNG?

just found out what could've happened! The file I was trying to upload had 120x120 and it was blank, then... I just changed it's dimension for 250x250 and it worked perfectly well!

yep thats exactly what "explode" effect is for. it just meant to explode once.
