One of the best songs written ever by anyone. Still ministers to me this very day.
Gave my heart to the Lord in 1976. I heard this song at age 16, and it is still my most favorite song to this day. Thank you Jesus!

You were / are led of the spirit
I believe that Rise Again is certainly an anointed song. It’s one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard. I think God would like to speak to His creation in many different ways. Thank you so much for being faithful to His call!! ❤️❤️
I just found this absolutely beautiful song I listen to it everyday!
I still love "Rise Again", it remains one of my favorite christian songs of all time.
Dear Dallas, I am so happy I found you again after many years. I first saw you at Lake Geneva Bible camp as a camper and I thought you were the best singer I had ever heard. I didn't know that you had attended Summit Ave AG. I am from Brained, MN and live in Baxter, connected to Brainerd. When I remembered how much I was blessed as a young teen by your music and testimony, so I decided to look for you online, and found you last month. Unfortunately it was not long after you lost your partner in life..I'm so sorry but rejoicing that you and your family will have her back in Heaven. Long story short, I went to nursing school in St. Paul and attended Summit Ave AG when I could catch rides and became the Camp Nurse at Lake Geneva for many years. You left a musical blessing on my heart and now I follow you and on a senior's budget will be purchasing your beautiful music to enjoy..God Bless You and your family..
Wow. I grew up listening to this man. My parents played his music. He was great. Got to see him in concert in Hazard, KY when I was in grade school.
Best song ever written that was God himself who wrote this song i will rise again you really sing it beautifully 🙏🙏🙏
Thank You Dallas!!! You don't knowhow much God used you to work in my Life in the Late 70's & 80's!!! Amen!!
I love Rise Again song. It's so very beautiful.
As a teenager, I was so impressed the first time I heard "Rise Again", and your arrangement, that I went out and bought the sheet music. (Over 40 years later, I still have it today!) Thank you for sharing your gift!!!
This song has meant so much to me and help me with my walk with the Lord. Thanks so much for your ministry!!!
Thank you for this beautiful meaningful song, I heard it when it first came out , and recently it came back to mind, I found it and it was just as I remembered and (ain’t) is good for me. Thanks again 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
The entire musical (His Last Days), including this song, has been a favorite of mine for decades. My cassette tape is pretty worn out so I was very happy to see the digital audio available on your website at a ridiculously low price. Thank you. I encourage your subscribers to look for it there along with your other projects.
my late mom so wanted to see you in person and loved your music thank you for this song and I use Ain't all the time too(thanks for that)
Hi Dallas. What a blessing your music has been to me and my wife for so many years since 1976. Lord bless you bro!
Thank you for this song. My mom played it Sunday mornings for me, my brother and my sister. I played it for the first time this morning for my family. The message, the song and the delivery are amazing. Thank you.
You are a truly anointed psalmist. Thank you for obeying the Holy Spirit!💖🎶
Blessings Dallas Holmes I was save in 1983 listening to your music, 💗🌻🙋♀️
Ahh where do I start? Your Praise Live album came out when I was a year old.. my parents played this record so much that I knew all your songs by heart by the time I was 6! To this day, I have your songs in my phone, they’ve held special places in my heart, and have ministered to me throughout the years! I especially love your voice in the Live “He Knew Me Then.” Such a beautiful song! Anyway I had to comment, I’m glad to see you still serving the Lord. God bless!!
So great to be connected to the inspirational music of my past . Thank you for sharing your gift with the world 🙏
Rise Again helped me so much when my mom took her life 35 years ago. I never heard a song so inspired by God. We know she went to be with the Lord because she trusted Christ so many years ago. She and others prayed so many years for her to be healed but sometimes it doesn’t happen.
Because of this song my brother came to the Lord - he also tragically took his life when there was no medication for his manic depression and that was in about 1979.
Karen Broman my mom was manic depressive as well. It’s such a tragic disease and there was no effective treatment back then. I’m so sorry for your loss. So thankful your brother trusted in Christ. That’s the only thing that comforts me.
When we go about our lives working, writing, singing, performing We don't always see through us we are revealing God's message. When Jesus rose up, it was only one time. Now, in a prophetic sense, It now reveals Jesus is indeed rising again... This is related to a prophet saying the eagle will be unveiled. The eagle is about God and America. We are witnessing the global scale of turning the table that Jesus saw, but the Apostles didn't see.
Rise Again is still a strong song!
Really enjoying these interviews with Dallas .I think I have bought every album that Dallas ever made . I have sang his songs in church many times in my younger days. Ask Dallas to talk about the song "Just don't feel like dancing " I find that song to be peculiar and different but love the song.
Thank you Dallas! I've been following your music and singing it etc. since I was a very young boy. Thank you for just living and singing out what God has put in you! God shaped me in many ways through your music and ministry! Thank you! Thank You! Thank you! Yes, this song is the song of all time!!! 👏🥇
I love this song, first time I ever heard was at a Funeral, I have been in Church , life time
I absolutely adore and highly respect you dallas holm I hope you get this comment if you do then I will share more with you my name is duane
Dallas, has anyone else noticed how closely Tim's beautiful piano solo resembles a passage in Rachmaninoff's 2nd Piano Concerto?
The first time I found you. I love your songs amazing . I checked to know weather this person is alive , I noticed your my dear site Pr who went home 2 yrs ago. You looked handsome as you are singing , pretty youn too.
First I thought you were Dustin Hoffman. Really. A compliment sir.
Please make a visual reference of each Podcast episode number in the background so that we know which one to tap on. Thanks so much! May the Lord be glorified!!
Still have my LPs & song books
Isn’t Dallas the one who wrote “A Love I Could Never Repay”?
Here's a CZcams video of Bob Dylan singing "Rise Again" live. I guess its only fair that Bob sang one of Dallas' songs since Dallas recorded a Bob Dylan song on the "I Saw The Lord" album. czcams.com/video/jvPGW6yKmYk/video.html
One of my favorite covers of "Rise Again" was on a Benson project that had several artists doing cover versions of each other's songs called "Masterpieces," and Glad did a really great a cappella version.
dbmabe Thank you for sharing!
You don't have to be a Christian to appreciate the song. You just have to be oppressed. I love the way you get into the emotion of it and get under the skin of the character. As for Christianity it is an intellectual discipline and as an intellectual discipline there is no call for an emotional and personal Jesus.
Your songs are great in spite of Christianity and not because of it. I don't think you are a Christian. I think you are an existentialist just like Jesus.
#PeterRaj Is it, my faith, indeed ONLY an intellectual discipline; I stipulate that it is IN PART? Isn't it also personal, like the Lord Jesus - who has transformed millions of blessed souls - as I testify herein? But I do agree with your opening statement?
@@steevrush Thanks for the excuse to hear this great song again. You call it faith and that proves it is an intellectual discipline. The universe has 3 operating systems and they are faith, science and existentialism, 3 disciplines. You believe in an omnipresent Jesus and the respective attributes, that is an intellectual discipline. Existentialism is a recent discipline of 29 Oct 1945. It is based on the selfish gene. When I say emotional and personal Jesus I mean the selfish Jesus. The song represents the selfish Jesus and not the one out to save the world. The last verse is incorrect but otherwise the song is perfectly existentialist. It was only in 2017 I recognised existentialism to be an operating system. In the new concept of universe faith in God is replaced with recognition of God.
