I bought a black shark 3 yesterday, It's nice to see how xiaomi has tried with cooling in this model.
Yea its a good cooling design but headache for repairs.

What type of batteries do you recommend?
You would pretty much have to use the same battery type as is in the phone which is a model BSO6FA 2360mAh battery.
if I need to replace the screen do I need to teardown the back first before I can replace it?
Hi, no you can just take apart the screen side and disconnect the screen cable and replace it. You don't need to take apart the back (even though most people would prefer to disconnect the battery cables on the back before disconnecting other cables etc.) Just make sure you don't use any metal tools so you don't risk shorting anything.

Hi, thank you. Those physical triggers are held in place with those brackets that are screwed down with the Philips screws. You can remove the screws and remove those buttons once you have taken the phone apart. I don't have the phone anymore to go more into detail.

Hello if I were to replace the battery, would it be necessary to remove the back cover and back components first?
You don't have to remove all the components but you do need to take the back cover off to be able to disconnect the battery cables from the main board.

@@fabienvalmor1568 yeah it was reeaaally bloated. Now I had a local tech replace one batt then after replacing it, the lcd wont light up. Tried to troubeshoot it at home and found theat one of the cgarging port cables weren’t connected. I fixed it, but the lcd still wont light up. It vibrates as I hold down the power button tho. 😔

If you still have the phone to check, how easy would it be to remove/swap the black border/triangles around the cameras and back charger port?
I don't have the phone anymore but the lens covers over the cameras are held on with adhesive, you would need to apply heat and pry it off, but would be easier to heat up the entire back plate and pry the back plate off which holds both those pieces. Its not too difficult just need to take your time heating it as you go to loosen the adhesive

So can you replace the glass without messing up the digitizer or do you have to buy the whole thing? Got a crack in the top right of my screen and need to do the glass.
Hi, you would need to replace the entire screen assembly. The glass is not user replaceable, only factories with special tools and machines can do it.

Why the glass part on the back side is dust magnet and the coating js easy to peel off
I own the same device. Since he fell into the water. No sound comes out. I tried the loudspeaker and bluetooth headphones, there is no sound either. And also a problem in making calls does not work even though it reads the phone sim.
You would need to take it apart, disconnect the battery, dry out any moisture inside and brush off any corrosion over parts/chips/connectors with a small brush like a toothbrush, and re-assemble the phone to see if you can get it working again. If not its possible you have damaged parts like the main board or other parts.
If it possible to replace charging port from infront? I mean without opening back cover?

Having an issue with its shoulder button after having the phone just a little over the year, it keeps turning itself on, even when I toggle the button off and on to return it to the phone mode, have to flip it a few times before it goes back to phone mode. Realised the issue is with the button itself, so have to wait for the blackshark to get back to me about sending it to repair as I don't really trust the repair centres around me for this particular phone.
Oh sucks, its possible some oil from periods of use or moisture got inside the button area and is shorting the flex cable or the receiver underneath.

I just got this phone last week. Now I'm afraid if someday when my battery is dead and need replacement because replacing the battery will be a nightmare.
Yea it definitely is not an easy replacement. I'm sure you should be able to send it in to the manufacture for replacement of the battery for a fee, if not a reputable repair store.

no, have handled phones for many many years with no static protection and never had any issue. As long as your not on a rug and very static environment, then you should be fine.
My battery is worn out, half capacity currently ; any idea where i can find a new one .

My lower microphone has failed on mine. What are the possibilities of the board in the low left failing ? 4 months old, I have tried all the software side issues as far as a full reset. Call and "ok google" doesnt work. Call does on speaker.
Its possible maybe a cable got loose or water got it not sure. Try checking on the cables and if still no luck try finding a replacement mic board online if possible.

Mine overheats, even just looking at amazon. Starts showing green edges then lines and ghost images of icons letters etc eventually screen gets so bad is unusable. Been doing this for months. If i put it in cool area, let it cool works perfect, then a few minutes later same issue. Any idea of how i can fix it? Maybe paste on chip bad? Hate to throw it away, is perfect besides this issue.
Could be liquid damage, have you dropped it in any water? Also you can try opening it up and making sure its not liquid damage and also changing the thermal paste to see if it helps.

My bs3 got changed battery recently because 1 of the battery god bloated, but when they tried to charged it, it only vibrated and doesn't show display on screen and was wondering of anyone know whats the problem or how to fix this, before we replaced the battery the phone still works fine and I put it away and doesnt use it for a while to prevent further damage but now it won't open
Maybe the screen cable got disconnected or maybe they damaged the screen cable or a chip on the board. Can be many things.

Yes its in the center of the phone and its one of the larger chips that has thermal paste covering it.

How do you change the battery
Once you take the phone apart, you would have access to the batteries which are held down with adhesive strips.

I have managed to change a battery that was bloated. Now after the assembly, the LCD won’t light up. 😔 it’s frustrating.
Have you made sure all the cables are in place and connected, also make sure you didn't over tighten any screws that may go through and damage the screen when assembling. Another thing could be that you may have damaged a chip on the board when taking it apart. Or just try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it to see if it will work.
@@PBKreviews the adhesive that holds the cables of the screen and lcd in place wont stick anymore. Ive tried detaching it and attaching it again. But still my phone only vibrates when i press and hold the power button. Still no display.

make sure the black shark 3 network bands are compatible with your network you are trying to use it on. Maybe the network bands are not compatible. Also make sure the phone doesn't have liquid damage causing it to have issues.

It's nice but it's probably trash compared to the upcoming ROG 3, especially in terms of sustained performance.
There are no snapdragon 865+ coming this year, very unlikely that the rog 3 will be a 50% performance increase phone without that chipset. I would say if they don't make a version with an 8 inch screen there is most likely nothing rog will be able to do to compete if not lower the price of their phones
