Now the question is how to find the perfect wife? Who'll let you buy big bikes
It's hard to find out a girl like this. Because two queens are not able to stay in touch with you.
Be a man! You don't need a rich wife to big bike! You would be riding your wife's bike then.
@@CasualBiker You seriously need to join some Angel English Speaking Classes in order to understand what I said in my previous comment.

Getting a small displacement bike like Duke 390 or R3 is actually more fun to ride and someone can live with it for more years, rather than just stretching your budget and getting the most affordable superbike like the Benelli 600i or Hyosung 650. What I mean to say is that some people only buy bikes for just sound and looks, they just don't look at other things like their own ride experience and maintenance costs. These kind of people can never remain satisfied with a particular bike for a long period of time.
I am confused i have 390. All ready. Need to update whether go for 650z or 300ninza
@SAHIL VERSE But actually I talked about Hyosung and Benelli, whose reliability and brand image sucks.Except sound, the 600i and Hyosung 650 has nothing else to offer that a rider can enjoy for long period of time.
@@saisaiannepu Actually both these bikes aren't the perfect upgrade from 390. Bro wait and go for something more powerful and more fun to ride like Z900 or Street Triple
@@saisaiannepu Who on Earth upgrades from 390 to Ninja 300. And about Z650, you won't find that big difference in power, acceleration between Z650 and 390
@SAHIL VERSE Only after taming a 200 or 250cc bike, someone should jump on a 390, here in India. But in abroad its considered as a beginner bike.
So nicely explained, so brilliantly honest, this is what makes PowerDrift. "PowerDrift" 💪❤️

Thank you Pradeep! Times *have* changed. In the early 2000s, taking a big bike into the city would not be as simple as it has become today
This content is gold. Sharing your 25 years of experience, it really gives me an insight what I needs to plan for to own my first big bike.

That anology is not true brother,
Don't apply that to your life.

This is one of the best suggestion on how to own and acquire a big bike. The podcast was awesome 👌 pure content and information with zero crap.
When Shumi speaks about bikes, you better listen carefully. Loads of knowledge and useful tips on this fantastic podcast. Brilliantly explained. Thanks PD!
Thank you so much @Shumi. Just what I needed to listen to. The hefty price tag is a one-time thing, running costs and maintenance are reoccurring.
Thank you Shumi and PD to get this episode out online. Straight from the heart and thanks for sharing your experiences and advises for "free" :)

Have been watching bike related videos for ages. Haven't come across such a sorted out and de facto explanation of the entire bike owning experience! Video saved for later and shared across as well. Thank you Shumi and PD (y).
Thanks Shumi, awesome content. Really insightful and guidance on the right path to achieve this goal. Was really astonished to know that you don't own a car. Have been following you from quite sometime including the similar article you had written for overdrive. But this content is straight from the heart and delivered from the right mind. Would be great if you can make a part two of this video on the types of big bikes one can buy. A series of 4-5 videos would be great

I dont know why i am watching this video
My broken ass cant even afford a splendor+😂😂
First of all, thank you Shumi for taking your time out and being one of a kind moto journalist who stays blunt whilst ensuring a crystal clear message is passed.
Secondly, thank you for mentioning the name Hayabusa, as you said and as we know every Indian seems to want it as their first big bike, after moving to it from an Activa. So thank you for addressing that issue.
Thirdly, thanks for giving clarity to the "Method for Madness" .......
While there's nothing wrong with getting a 'Busa, it would be a pleasant experience if folks could gradually get to it.
Welcome welcome welcome Sanketh! Glad it helps. Maybe you’d like to share the link with friends and help them too?
Amazing clarity in this podcast.. thanks Shumi. Really useful for those of us thinking of a big bike. The one thing which I think we also need to consider is most of these bikes are imported and therefore if someone has even a minor accident, one has to wait for parts to be available with a dealer. The waiting period could differ from one manufacturer to another.
After I guess more than a year I found one PD video which is watched till the end and it kept me engaged. Wonderfully narrated Schumi and I think we all can connect to your thought in one way or another. I hope PD keeps coming up with more insights and true rider experiences shared like this one. Good Luck !

Hope it motivates you to go for your dream bike Aniruddha. Ride safe!
This is the ultimate thing I was looking for... Great analysis! Keep us enlightened with your experience.
Can't agree more, Shumi! When I walked into the Triumph showroom, honestly I never knew that I'd buy one -- I just assumed it's not possible. And I went to see the friend who was the manager at the showroom and he talked me into buying the Street Triple because he knew the weak point of a motorcyclist. With an average salary of a UI designer, I just managed to get a loan and selling my existing KTM 390 that I thought I would keep forever. The point is, it was difficult but if you can manage your finances well, cut down unnecessary expenses for some time, you can definitely buy a bigger motorcycle. The maintenance/insurance is definitely a major concern but again it depends on you how much you ride -- the more you ride, the more will be the recurring expenses. Always calculate how much you can invest and then decide the motorcycle that you would be happy to settle with.
This unlocks a whole new level of my chase for my dream bikes. . .❤️😍 Shumi🙌 I think no one explain it better than you. . Thanks man ❤️ Thanks Powerdrift❤️ #PDArmy

I wish I saw this video before buying my CB300R. Currently living with this mistake of mine for god knows how long. It is only half a year old and I desire to sell it so I can actually purchase the bike that my heart craves for and not the one (CB300R) my friends and online reviews suggested. Learn from me folks. Go for the costlier service and lower fuel economy if you can afford to, but never compromise on what puts a huge smile like that of a child on your face!
I would like to request @powerdriftofficial to help me with the strangest topic of all time, 'how to sell you bike while getting the best price out of it' LOL :'(
This is the video that I had been waiting for a long time...
This video cleared all my confusions about buying a big bike

Awesome PD❤️
Thank you very much sir. This is what exactly I did to shift from my hero honda passion, my 1st bike to royal Enfield 2nd bike. I test drove Enfield in the year 2010 when it has no self/ disks. I thought I can effort it at that time at 1.28 lach ex showroom hyd. But after test riding it I dicided it was way ahead of my passion and needs at that time. And I continued with my passion bike (2008 owned). Recently in 2019 April I figured my riding needs and decided to have a change and after crossing all options I have in bikes & activas i brought Royal Enfield sand Strom 350cc which is my passioned and we'll needed one at the time almost after 9 & 1/2 years after I test rode the bullet. Now it's 2.08 Lac on road and with dual disks and abs & self start. Now I am loving the ride with my heart as you said sir. It happened un knowingly and I figured it out after watching your vedio that it's the right way of upgrading from I bike to another. Sure I will follow the same for upgrading to a super bike.
👍

Hey comrade, happy to hear your story. The Dominar is a good bike to upgrade to.
About riding internationally, it takes a lot of preparations. Almost a year or so. You need to ready a lot of documents. We would suggest you check out touring forums - many experienced riders have put out their travellogues and other necessary info.
