I wouldn't really recommend this, It's beautiful and all but the floors are always wet the tv mostly doesn't work and etc..

Great video. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem with me. Does this resort have facilities in place (elevators, ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much, Steve S
nice place to vacation
The only bad thing about staying at Riu Ochos Rios is you are advised not to go off resort.
We stayed here a few years ago,and we were taken by bus to a local pub with a live reggae band on a Friday night.
We are going there end of march

Thank you! It wasn’t oceanfront view , more so facing toward the water park but it was far enough that was just separated by some foliage

Nice video but did you say the trip from the airport to the resort was two hours?
Did the driver take you guys to different locations along the way so you guys could drink a few beers and enjoy some of our attractions.
Lol…I am staying there soon so i would rather rent a car if the drivers take that long. As a Jamaican I make that journey in 35 - 45 minutes

@@sweet49101 Least favorite resort I've been to, and I will probably never stay at a RIU again. They upgraded my room, but it was definitely a downgrade, so I had to move rooms mid stay to get my ocean view room. The staff was never smiling, and they were all pretty rude and unhelpful. The most fun I had was at Dunn's River Falls, but you do get harassed there a lot and it's almost like you're forced to buy things. Jamaica might be a great place to visit but my experience wasn't the best and if you go don't stay at Riu Ocho Rios.

The room we booked via Expedia was called the “ Family Room 2 bedroom”

A bit windy and rainy on some days! I have a vlog of this same stay that shows some of what you’re asking :)
Was there any shuttles to go to and fro the rooms

Did you have any issues with this resort as far as customer service and unfriendly staff. There are really bad reviews on travel advisor
The staff and service was nice ! When we had an issue with the shower they sent someone to fix it pretty quick, and also the staff was pretty friendly (noticed a lot of them rotated between performing and also helping at restaurants so unsure if that would play a part in just being fatigued and coming off as unfriendly?)
Overall our experience was good !
Any safety issues? Are there really guards with guns on the beach ?
Didn’t experience any or witness that when we were there!
Can you do Atv riding there ?
There are ATV tours available as excursion, I believe !
