2010 S5 limp mode after hard acceleration in sport fuel filter or hpfp could be? plugs and coils 25k ago injectors havent been done @ 85k no CEL fuel guage is also wonky
HPFPs are the issue. Mine did the exact same thing when I accelerated to a higher rpm limp mode kicked on along with an EPC light.
How’d it turn out?
You wouldnt happen to have the part numbers for the cam rider and the o ring for the hpfp would you please?

Are you any good with supercharged b8 4.2 fueling issues ?
I’m sorry, I’m not experienced in this area. Mine is naturally aspirated. What is happening? Are you getting codes or having problems in general?
@@thespartanproject001 bit of both. Started with EPC light no CEL and under hard acceleration above 4k rpm epc light and would go to soft limp mode break up under load. Figured HPFP like usual they have however been replaced with aftermarket high flow jhm pumps already as it is a boosted/tuned build. Next time driving CEL with no drivability symptoms codes came back P0087 fuel rail pressure low and p310b low pressure fuel regulation . Couple evap codes and 02 sensor codes as well (car is catless) not sure where to start lol I’ve only ever had a stock NA 4.2
@@joeg2286 what fuel do you normally put in it? Also how long ago did you replace the high pressure fuel pumps?
i just got brand new HPFP put in 3 weeks ago and Lpfp abt 6 months ago, and then a few days after the Hpfp was changed i got a flashing CEL with misfires on cylinder 4 after a cold start, turned the car off and on and all was good, everything was fine for the next two weeks then on a colder morning 28°F it misfired on cylinder 8. Both times happen when i first put my car in reverse to back out of the drive way and go away when i turn the car off and on. Car still feels super weird on cold mornings, abnormally weird. any ideas what this could be. No active CELs rn
Have you changed your spark plugs or ignition coils?
@@thespartanproject001 funny you respond now lol, im going to get them changed out in 30 minutes
@@thespartanproject001 changed them out and the spark plugs had oil on them😟 coils were dry except for the tips of them, i had a new manifold gasket and spark seals put on 10k miles ago
@@ECExotics when I replaced my ignition coils and spark plugs there was oil around my spark plugs too. I’ve got to replace my valve cover gasket soon.
I have the same problem a have the check engine light flashing only on heavy loads but if I continue to accelerate EPC light came on also. What do you think it can be? I have change spark, plugs, fuel filter. Coil pack but still nothing.
It’s one of two things. It could be your fuel pump or the two high pressure fuel pumps. We have replaced both the fuel pump and high pressure fuel pumps in our videos.
@@thespartanproject001 i also have a leak on the hpfp sensor only on cold start maybe this is the problem ?
