  • Created in collaboration with Abbey Road Studios, Waves’ REDD plugin has been modeled after Abbey Road’s classic REDD consoles the legendary desks responsible for the sound of the Beatles, Pink Floyd, and many others.

The Beatles used to hate these consoles. They said they looked like RAF plane control panels, which they did. But of course the desks were absolute audio masterpieces then and now, and none of the Bealtles were technical enough to understand it. How ironic that 50 plus years later everyone is after valve equipment, and the y look cool, with those big knobs, and battleship paint.

"And the control knobs were great big RAF things, that was the state of the technology then. We used to like them though, and actually they were much better than the fiddly
little things these days because then if you put treble on you actually heard treble come on. Now you put treble on and it's nothing. " Paul Maccartney

It blows my mind how advanced were these consoles for their time in the 60s. Obviously they look kinda ugly, but sound quality is the opposite.

Don't do that ! If you want to talk about your plugin just be honest and say it.
