I've noticed a couple of things regarding comfort with over ear headphones on airplanes. Wearing over ear headphones for long duration made my ear feel really warm. I had to take them off a couple of times to cool down my ears. If you like to sleep on your side or with the side of your face touching the pillow than these big headphones are not comfortable in that position. Why would you sleep with headphones on you might ask? Because you can have noise cancellation activated without any media playing at all. So in those situations the airpods might be more comfortable.
Definitely got to say your very biased on this. I love my AirPods Pro as much as anyone but also owning the xm3’s there is nothing better when traveling then the over the ears. Everyday life a AirPods win hands down. But in terms of everything travel wise. The size of the over the ear headphones don’t matter personally I always travel with both Sony’s in the airports and plane. And AirPods for the rest of the trip.
This guy obviously favours Apple. Sony is a much better application for both long and short flight . They are very portable within the carry case. Battery life, comfort and noise canceling ability are all superior over the ear buds.

I use ANC headphones with ANC earbuds at the same time. They’re on the more affordable side ~$130 combined so their ANC is about 70% of what the great XM4’s or AirPods Pro’s can do. I use both at the same time so I can get the same amount of ANC for planes specifically, otherwise I can deal with their individual ANC
Going from earbuds to big over ear headphones your gonna regret it. I say if your gonna get one stick with your earbuds. A lot more convenient to use. More versatile due to the fact they are much more portable. You do sacrifice sound and ANC quality. However if you decide to get a second pair thats when I suggest you get the over ear headphones. Both will compliment each other. When your out and about then use the air pods pros. When your stationary (At home, office, etc) thats when you take out your big headphones. Better sound and ANC than any earbuds.

I’m thinking of starting a youtube channel where I would have to record videos and audios without background noise getting in the way. Would you recommend the AirPods Pro for such activities? Or should I stick to traditional microphone set-up?
That's a hard one to give advice on. It depends on the background noise type and the level. I typically would suggest a shotgun mic or lapel placed as closely to you as possible. Condenser mics that I've used in the past pick up absolutely everything.
@@Gamingmoments95 I own both the Airpod Gen 2 and Airpod pros and when it comes to actual carrying around there is almost no difference. Yes the Airpod pro case is slightly bigger but its not noticeable. Just looking at pictures of Earin M1 those look alot bigger than Airpod Pro's case.
This isn't an apple problem its actually a problem with most if not every wireless earbud in the market. They are small so opening them is almost always out of the question. And batteries are very small to begin with so any battery degradation will be felt almost immediately.
@@chan13153 the wf 1000xm3 are user replaceable (but not for your average Joe) the battery is pretty accessible and a common and easy to acquire type, if the base airpods are anything to go off, they have the battery in the stem and are impossible to replace without destroying them

At the same time no over ear headphone can compete when it comes to convenience and portability of an earbud. That's really what this comes down too. Overall I say get the earbud as your first purchase and the over ear headphone as your second purchase.
Portability, and connivence vs performance. It's like comparing running shoes vs work boots. Both have there time and place. I say if your gonna get one get the wireless earbuds and second pair go with the over ear headphones.

IMO Airpod (earbuds) for when your out and about and the Sony's (Over heard headphones) when your at home or in an office etc. I would say for most people if your gonna buy one go with the earbuds (Airpod Pros, etc) and for your second pair of get the over ear headphones (Sony).

It's that's how you feel don't get. The WF-1000XM3's there're one of the least comfortable earbuds, but they slap the airpods in other ways

Airpods pro has multiple device connectivity but unfortunately not the sony. Don't know about airpods and android devices tho
