HEY GUYS.. UPDATE!! I took 3 videos that I have to assemble to do the video of putting it back in the hole. So, I have to assemble it to show you a couple more things.
Not sure when I will have time to do that. My Primary and backup well went out at the same time, so, I have another to do. Then, I have a steering box to change on one of my minibusses, a tune up on my truck, a Toilet Flange to fix and a couple more things before I will have time to fool with the video assembly.. I hate that software. Ha..
But, it is back in the hole. 2 people did it.
I pushed it down into the hole and a friend walked the end of the pipe with the fittings to me, to keep it from dragging on the ground.
I did add a 1/4" Braided Nylon Rope to the pump ears, then a 3/8" braided Nylon rope from that 1/4" all the way up to the top of the well head.
I taped the wire to the pipe about every 3 feet, then the rope to the pipe about every 10foot, and dropped it in the hole..
I just put the pipe back over the barrel and pulled it down 2 feet at a time, until it was back in the hole..
NOTE.. Just loosen the bolts on the Well Cap, moving them no more than 1/4".. DO NOT PULL THEM OUT.. The well cap is a 4 piece system. A flat plate on top, one piece of Rubber Gasket and two half moons of metal below that to squeeze the rubber.. Just loosen and pry it up, do not pull the bolts out. It will drop the parts into the well pipe.. Not good..

You got it.. That's why I put them up.. Once I figured this out, I have not tried to make it any better or easier. Works great. Just two of us stabbed it back in the hole. Took us 10 minutes once we had the new pump on, added a rope to it, taped the wires to the pipe again to drop it into the hole. Everything works now. I even got a used pump from a friend.. Didn't think twice about installing it.. Didn't even test it before we dropped it in the hole.. No big deal.. If it does not work, I'll pull it back out.. Ha.Ha. Someone else would have paid $1500 to have it pulled.. Ha..Ha..
I have a second well which went out at the same time (freak thing to have my primary and my secondary well to go out a the same time.. Just got the 2hp pump in from Amazon $185.00, and will be doing that pull/drop within a few days.. Had to fix a toilet flange and fix a minibus power steering box in the mean time.. What a week..Ha..Ha... :)

@@egreenspot Ha.Ha.. Yea.. Go ahead.. They might not like guys like me telling people how to DIY.. They charge $1500 around here to pull one..
But, they should charge a more reasonable rate, so, get a grin for me when you show it to them.. Ha..ha.. Bet they are saying,, "SOB" under their breath.. Ha..Ha.

@@MarkThomas123 not to worry, this outfit only sells to DIY folks and told me they don’t recommend any one single way to remove an old Pump, though yours is probably the easiest way I have seen on CZcams

@@egreenspot Oh.. Ok.. No problem.. If it helps anyone, that is a good thing. I learn alot from others on YT. If you have black pipe, it is the way to go. I pulled another today and put a new pump back in.. 185 feet. Same technique.
If you use a portable generator around at your place, I have another idea about as slick as this one. If you have any doubts, we debated it quite a bit in the comments below it. You just make a Male to male short extension cord and use an existing 220 volt at least 30 amp plug like a dryer or stove plug, or, install one near your generator. I use my Welder or Compressor plug for my Generator when I need it.. Not going to use my 220v Welder or Compressor while running the Genset anyway.. Lots of different ways to skin the same cat. Ha.. Cheers!
