No team should ever copy the Sabres. 13 years with no playoffs is a complete failure from the owner to the front office coaching and players. This is why the Sabres are the joke of the league and no one wants to come here.
Benson will be a superstar.
The Sabres will get hot, be a few points out, then will blame injuries for why they came up short.

How are you putting benson above Peterka?
Benson is slightly better at puck battles. Peterka skates fast and to openings and has a great shot. Benson is just a rook.
@@chrisribble Correct. If you don’t have speed and a killer shot, you don’t have much. You might be a good set up guy, that’s about it.
Everyone is forgetting about Greenway, Peterka or Quinn won’t be a top 6 forward as long as coaches Son is on the team
@@chrisribbleBenson is knocked over with a strong breeze, he is 5’3” 130lbs, Peterka never gets knocked over and Peterka leads the team BY FAR in penalties drawn leading to a Buffalo PP. Other teams have to hook him to stop him, Benson they just use two fingers to push him over.

Same situation with Eichel. His reason for leaving might just be more blunt than a surgery.
The problem with Quinn and the rest of this teams “Top Six Forwards” is there are no difference makers. They have sone guys that can score some goals and make a nice play here and there. They don’t have a single big impact player. TT looked like that player for a short while. He is regressing back to the mean. Adams needs to bundle up some of these assets and forwards and trade for an impact player.

If our first is 7 or further, then package the pick and trade for a first line forward to bolster the top 9. One of our guys from the current top line will have to slide down
Idk about after the 2nd big injury but i think Quinn might be the best forward on the sabres. Tragic that we didnt have him most this year
Quinn actually only had one year of elite production in junior. I thought that he had a 200 foot game when he came to the NHL. It was his offense that was a concern.
I think Quinn was sorely missed this year. But in the end... I really want Granato FIRED still. He is the root of the issues IMHO along with Adams making many many mistakes in judgment.
I wouldn't even bring him back why bother. Heal up for next year when we hopefully make the playoffs

Quinn is vital. He’s cheap for at least a couple more years. As is Benson. As will Savoie be. Cheap, cheap cheap. Middlestadt was too expensive, exactly as Reinhart was a couple years earlier. Let the other GM’s figure out how to pay multiple stars good enough to win Stanley Cups. Kevyn Adams can’t afford to find enough of them. Even after he dumped Eichel’s $10 Million. In fact the Avs are already seriously considering signing Middlestadt long term, after he’s only played
less then 10 games for them.

How are you gonna get offended over an article saying avoid the same mistakes buffalo made? I'm a fan of this team and I'll be the first to tell any GM don't do what buffalo has done for the last decade. This is why Terry needs to sell the team. He simple doesn't care and that attitude trickles all the way down from the top. If the owner doesn't give a fuck about winning, why should the GM, coach, players? As long as Terry pegula owns the sabres they'll never see success

I don’t see any future in a team that let Casey Midsu go. I will concede Bo is a great addition. But now they need to pay him. Would rather have seen a not so durable Tage T go! We may have seen all we can see with Tage. Casey is a much more solid player.

I do not think it's fair to call jack quinn& Samuelsson fragile.... The injury.
That put quinn would have sidelined any player in the league. As far as Samuelson ghe was.
Primarily the only player playing physical hockey for a long stretch. And it's easy to get hurt when you play hard, especially when you're going app against 2 or 3 guys at a time.
Sammy has an average of 40 games played each year of his career. He’s spent half his career injured
The pace on this team is horrible from the defensive to the offensive zone. Owen power is not a good hockey he has no pace, never steps up in the zone, no speed and he’s sleeping in the defensive zone like a football quarterback
I don't get where all the Benson love is coming from in the last two episodes. From my eye test he's invisible on the wall. Also, not quite sure how he is in the conversation for being one of the best players in the team already. I get he's only 18 but has only shown average speed on the ice and mediocre production. Guess I have to see it to believe it.

Indulging my curiosity. If you take out in his prime Sidney Crosby from the list. No team as small as the Sabres has won a cup since 2010. The other team on this list had in his prime had in his prime Patrick Kane. We need more size and grit, or a generational talent which we currently do not have.
As long as Greenway on the team, either Peterka or Quinn will never be a top six forward because the coaches son is always going to have to play the most
Ottawa is a Dumpster fire! Bruce Garrioch is THE WORST writer in Canada ! He is always late to the party and constantly WRONG! Also hes the biggest HOMER this side of Jack Edwards from NESN Boston.
The problem is that two of our better players - Quinn and Sam-glas-son - are fragile.

Don’t forget about Tage Tu-Tu Thompson. I am certain he will never outdo his one decent season. He can not hold up. They should have traded him for Bo and kept Casey. Casey never ever gets injured and misses games. He was the #1 center on team. Gone

You are forgetting the Quinn-Cozens-Peterka line was probably our most consistent this year when Quinn was healthy. Next year that line may be the number one line. Next year we'll see Benson with Savoie and probably Krebs on an all WHL line.
Benson replace Cozens ,Cozens has no idea how to play defensive hockey a total liability

4 years with Adams and nothing has changed
Rob Blake got the Kings back into the playoffs in 4 years with the draft, some trades = by acquiring proven NHL veterans. We are stuck with some players for another 1 - 3ys. 10 players contracts are up: Bryson, Comrie, Girgensons, Jokiharju, Jost, Krebs, Luukkonen, Olofsson, Robinson, Stillman. All the players mentioned, Olofsson make 4.5 mil the rest make 2.5 mil and less.
Keep Robinson, Luukkonen.
Can adams afford to get those players we need or will just rely on the young players ? I believe they do not have gritty players in our system
