This airline is impressive. Survives a brutal civil war where many of its airplanes are blown to bits. Recovers completely and now offers wide body flights on short trips with complementary meal service. Maybe western airlines could learn a thing or two here.

Absolutely agree. I've flown MEA twice and I can attest their product is excellent, as is their professionalism. indeed a class act. They put US airlines to shame.
Indeed with everything going on right now in Lebanon they just renewed their entire fleet with the A330-900 and a321neo and also XLR bravo Lebanon ❤️

Not due civil war that the fleet has been destroyed but due to the Israelis attack in 1982 to the airport

I hope you try Cedar class (business) or even economy on the London LHR route on board MEA! Sitting on the left hand side of the aircraft gives a stunning approach view over Beirut and the mountains in the background when you next fly into BEY :)

In my opinion after a civil war and economy problems mea is one of the best airlines because they are alway upgrading for the best and in 2020 they will have new aircraft ! ❤️🇱🇧
Keep in mind Felix! Whenever you're flying to Beirut, you always have to sit on the left side of the plane to be able to catch the iconic and beautiful Beirut city landing! Good job! Love the video!❤🇱🇧

Clapping at the end … :-) When I grew up in the 80's here in Europe, we used to clap on landing all the time, atleast on typical charter airlines to summer vacation destinations like Spain, Greece and Portugal. Rare I see it today.

Good coverage Felix! MEA is a good airlines. I used it few times and their Europe to Beirut routes are great. I love their food. The hot meals they serve on longer flights are amazing!

The new Istanbul airport is outstanding, I was there in February just after it opened.
No it's not. It is huge and is designed specifically so passengers in transit miss their flight. Turkish Airlines regularly over books flights. It is also 2 to 3 hours drive from the center of Istanbul.

Best Airline. I live in Germany. I flew with Lufthansa , air Serbia , Air Germania , Turkish airline, and Mea.
MEA was till now the best flies . Good food, good pilots, nice stewardesses everything perfect. Never had any problems on flights. This year I flew with Lufthansa. Never again🤣

Mohamed Beirut weil jedes Mal wenn wir mit Lufthansa fliegen , es schlimme Turbulenzen gibt. Und erst recht nicht nachdem der Typ in den Alpen unterging mit dem Flugzeug 😅

Apparently the new airport is terrible. Surprised Nassralah does not make the announcement. Goodbye Turkey, Hello Iran. My father flew MEA from London to Geneva in the 1960s' on a Comet 4. He complained to the hostess that they did not serve a Middle Eastern meal. LOL. MEA have an excellent reputation.I had a picture of my uncle with the Egyptian Basketball Team in front of an MEA Air Liban Douglas DC-3 taken in 1950 at the Cairo King Farouk Airport. I stupidly threw it away when he passed away 20 years ago.
