James Branstetter it has elements of hardcore, slam and others but I think they're stuff is still mainly deathcore. 1:37 is pure deathcore and a lot of their breakdowns are too.
This is downtempo. It's basically considered its own stand alone metal genre now. Deathcore and downtempo are way different imo. The band Traitors lead the way as an originator of this new metal genre a few years back.
