A notable issue I've encountered with the SmallRig cage designed for the iPhone 15 Pro Max is that the filters do not adequately cover all three cameras or lenses. In order to capture footage using the 0.5x - 12MP ultrawide sensor, it is necessary to detach the filter holder and reposition it in a different opening. Unless I am mistaken, this appears to be a significant design flaw from my perspective. I would prefer a setup where the filter can seamlessly cover all three lenses, similar to the designs offered by Neewer and the Beast Cage.

Yes you can! basically the same thing, you just mount the quick release plate on a different spot

What Arca plate (mount) do you have on the gimbal (the longer one) on which you put the rig with the phone?
that's just the DJI RS3 plate
But where are the cords ? To microphone for example ? Or external ssd ? I didnt see anything attached to the usb c port of the phone ? If you add cords, does the gimbal balance correctly and does it work like it supposed to ?
I have exactly this rig, and no idea how to set up the filter to cover all three lenses. It’s impossible with mine !

This sounds nice. thank you for your video. However, there is a known problem with the Rode Videomic NTG, when connected to the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max phones with a direct USB-C connection. I contacted Rode and they confirmed the issue and indicated that they are working with Apple to fix the, ‘limitation.’
What kind of audio are you getting with it? Or do you have a fix or specific settings which allow you to record without getting peaking and other horrible audio?
really? i have not heard of that before to be honest, I also didn't notice anything last time I used it. Need to check again
How much does the total Rig weigh? Can you use a DJI RS 3 Mini?
with the whole setup probably not, if you use just the cage with an add on lens, that should work!
I think maybe the links to amazon don't work properly. Many of them are redirecting to Dji gimbal at Amazon allthough they refer to different gear.

With this set when you film in wide angle do you see the rs3 quick release plate? I did something similar and couldn’t film in wide angle 🥲
Why not photograph in nature to prove your explanation
I wish iphone can be removed from the rig easily to make calls etc. It is not easy in this case. Only way is to use Universal Rig.
depends on what you describe as "quick" it'S not too bad! only takes a few seconds
