People hated Andrew as Spider Man simply because of the fact he didn’t save Gwen in the end, when that.. that right there, makes him the best spiderman, because he showed the struggles of being a real hero, the hardest part about being a hero is that you can’t always save everyone, and although he should’ve stayed away from Gwen, a hero isn’t just gonna give up on what or who he loves, Tom and Tobey played their part well but if anyone deserves the Spider Man title, it’s Andrew

I have my reason why this is my favourite Spider-Man movie. That is because it brings the whole reason of “hope” back into the character and I can relate to Andrew Spider-Man because I know what it is like to lose someone close to you. As Gwen said “promise me to hold onto hope, keep it alive.”

That's becuase in the comics when Peter Parker is around the age of Tom Hollands Peter Parker, the story of Peter may have some emotion but there wasn't a lot. Tom Hollands Peter Parker has a story that gets more emotional with every movie and covers more maturity at a slow rate becuase from Civil War to Far from home, he's only physically matured 2 years older. He was 14 in Civil War and he's 16 in Far From Home. Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker is in his last two years of high school, which we still havent seen yet for Tom Hollands. I believe that with more time and story development we will see Tom Hollands Peter Parker get to that point. The there's Tobey Maguire's who is in college, which is why his story is casted in a much more mature light. In my mind, they are all accurate accounts when it comes to the emotions. Now when it comes to being comic book accurate Tom Hollands kind of takes the cake. But all 3 of them are incredible portrayals.

For as much as it got criticized, I always still admired this version of the character. It represented what he stands for, hope. That's what you should feel when you see him swinging around,, even in your darkest moments, there is hope. And the truth is, he can be any one of us, we can embody hope and become the hero of our own story of life. I had a lot of great memories growing through my pre-teen and teenage years with this version of the character, but I'm not sad because it's over...I'm smiling because it happened...and because it has encouraged me to be a better version of myself. I could only repay this fondness with the tribute I made to Andrew's Spidey on my channel, but even then...I sit here and listen to this wondering what could've been if he had made all those other movies as Spider-Man. :')
This movie is what made me get back into my passion of animating, which I sort of lost before and just settled with doing something else but I changed my major back to animation now. People think that it's just another superhero movie but I think that it is wayyyyy more than just that
When I first saw the movie, I saw it with a girl I was dating. And I teared up when Gwen died because I pictured myself losing my gf. We dated for 2 years but she eventually broke up with me. And whenever I see that scene or hear this music, I think of losing her. And although I didnt go through the pain of her dying, I really felt like I related with Peter. A broken heart. Lost the thing you promised you wouldn't lose...
Most emotions I ever felt while watching Spider-Man was in the TASM series. Andrew nailed his performance, he needs another shot at this. He needs one more movie!!

This song helped me get through a lot of stuff. Losing a family member, my girlfriend broke up with me, I almost died twice myself, lost my best friend, I've lost almost everything I ever cared about in a few short months. But somehow this soundtrack gets me through it, it reminds me that even my childhood hero went through what I am going through now Edit: The pain of these problems will always be with me, it's what I do with that pain that counts. 5:26 I really love how Gwen's theme starts off like peter/Spider-Man theme but much sadder and slower Peter's theme is upbeat with a hero vibes but Gwen's theme carried the same rhythm but in a slower and sadder way. It shows how Gwen is part of Peter's life no matter what happened.
Best part by far, then it hits the climax and.... ends and restarts giving u a sense of hope for the best things but u eventually realize you can’t have everything in life and that’s just the way it goes.

Marc Webbs way of encapsulating emotion and humanity in Garfield’s Spider-Man was just something else. Growing up with his version of Spider-Man just hits different. If only he was given full creative freedom. Would have been a work of art. Will personally be my favourite version of spidey, hopefully no way home let’s Andrew finally find an ending.
The reason why I liked this Spider-Man so much was because he was so relatable. Even though he has all these powers he can’t save everyone. He suffers just like anyone else. Toms Spider-Man is kinda childish which I’m not saying is bad but I don’t feel the emotions I did while watching this Spider-Man. Still truly one that captures all the emotions and characteristics of Spider-Man.
Tom's Spider Man isn't about not saving everyone but he also does have his shortcomings like him, where he tends to make some mistakes (but in NWH, Strange did mistakes as well) due to his inexperience (due to his youth there).
The Peter/Gwen part of the Amazing movies really got to me. The only part I didn’t like was that Captain Stacy explicitly asks Peter to promise he’ll stay away from Gwen and he doesn’t do it. In the comics, Stacy asked Peter the opposite, to be there for Gwen and to not leave her alone, because she had no one else. This is basically what saved Peter from going crazy with pain, since at least he had respected the will of the Captain. But TASM Peter has both the guilt for her death and the awareness that the Captain was right, he didn’t keep his word to him and as a consequence Gwen died. Jeez, comics Peter’s life was a mess, but TASM Peter’s life is just pure nightmare fuel.
He did try to stay away from Gwen, but Gwen still wanted to be with him. In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter did his best to make sure Gwen wasn't there at the end fight, but she went anyway...and we all know what unfortunately happened.
Nate Arceneaux He did try, but he also was the one who revealed his secret identity to her out of a pure childish desire to impress her. Also something that comic books Peter, or Maguire’s Peter, or, hell, even Tom Holland’s Peter, would’ve never done. And that was the true first step towards her death.
I was listening to this yesterday while I was laying down, just trying to rest my eyes for a bit. And I swear I saw my whole life and what it could be play out before me. I have realized that I miss this Spiderman, for the simple reason that we see that he is more human, he suffers a lot of losts. This last version is more childish, which is not bad, but I do not feel identified with Tom's Spiderman.

andrew’s spider-man is the most perfect and accurate for me. tasm displays the loss of his uncle which is one of the most crucial parts of peter’s becoming of spider-man. tom’s spider-man lacks that and i think that’s why tom’s spider-man isn’t it for me. toby’s spider-man is absolutely nostalgic but he wasnt a great spider-man compared to andrew.
Why would this movie be called as the worst movie in marvel ? I don't understand it. Music, ending and even some extent story is far better than other marvel franchise movies. The answer is simple. Most of the people back then (especially Comic fans) couldnt deal with the realistic take in this movie. But years later, today...everyone started to see the beauty of TASM2. We need TASM3 now with the same darkness take in this universe because this Peter Parker, is the one we can relate the most. Andrew was such an amazing actor and its beyond words.

Every time I’m feeling down I go to this track to let things out, I don’t know what it is but something about Andrew’s Peter has connected with me the most that I couldn’t find in the other two interpretations. Don’t get me wrong I love the other ones too but Andrew’s has always been different. I can feel the emotions he’s feeling, I can connect to what he’s feeling and it’s really the only Spider-Man movies I have ever watched that have been able to make me tear up or even cry. They give me a sense or reassurance that I’m not alone and that everything will be okay, and even though I also enjoy tom’s Peter, I just wish I could find these type of feelings in Spider-Man movies again, they are part of what made me fall deeply in love with the character.
spider-man has been my hero for as long as i can remember. regardless of the quality of the films, the character always resonated with me. especially those feelings of loss carried through the score of this film. approaching the end of my life now i return to this music, reminding myself of all that was and no longer is, whilst remembering everything i’ve always looked up to, i am feeling sad but content. i have been struggling for too long now. the only sense of control we have as individuals, is that control we have over ourselves. i’ve got to take control of my own life now and make that decision, to rest peacefully. everybody needs a hero, fictional or not. even if they don’t always save everyone.

Peter reviews his father (scene removed from the film but available on CZcams). He tries to mourn gwen but can not, and often sees the head of Gwen's father remembering the promise he made. He faces rhino, rhino destroys a crane that falls on a base of a building. Rhino almost ko runs away and spideman is projected on the nearest building. He holds the building with all his might but fails to prevent the inevitable. He pulls himself to break his bones and tear the flesh. The scene lasted 5 minutes, all the people in the building were able to leave. Peter falls from the building making a big dive, he sees his first meeting with gwen, the visit to osborn, his first kiss, the time he prevented the departure of gwen for England, then the death of Gwen ..

I have my reason why this is my favourite Spider-Man movie. That is because it brings the whole reason of “hope” back into the character and I can relate to Andrew Spider-Man because I know what it is like to lose someone close to you. As Gwen said “promise me to hold onto hope, keep it alive.”

I miss the old Spider-Man's, were they had more emotion, I connected with Andrew Garfield the most, Tobey Maguire is the original, he had so many good moments, and Tom Holland is the most energetic one, but something about Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man just makes feel different emotions

That's becuase in the comics when Peter Parker is around the age of Tom Hollands Peter Parker, the story of Peter may have some emotion but there wasn't a lot. Tom Hollands Peter Parker has a story that gets more emotional with every movie and covers more maturity at a slow rate becuase from Civil War to Far from home, he's only physically matured 2 years older. He was 14 in Civil War and he's 16 in Far From Home. Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker is in his last two years of high school, which we still havent seen yet for Tom Hollands. I believe that with more time and story development we will see Tom Hollands Peter Parker get to that point. The there's Tobey Maguire's who is in college, which is why his story is casted in a much more mature light. In my mind, they are all accurate accounts when it comes to the emotions. Now when it comes to being comic book accurate Tom Hollands kind of takes the cake. But all 3 of them are incredible portrayals.

For as much as it got criticized, I always still admired this version of the character. It represented what he stands for, hope. That's what you should feel when you see him swinging around,, even in your darkest moments, there is hope. And the truth is, he can be any one of us, we can embody hope and become the hero of our own story of life. I had a lot of great memories growing through my pre-teen and teenage years with this version of the character, but I'm not sad because it's over...I'm smiling because it happened...and because it has encouraged me to be a better version of myself. I could only repay this fondness with the tribute I made to Andrew's Spidey on my channel, but even then...I sit here and listen to this wondering what could've been if he had made all those other movies as Spider-Man. :')

This movie is what made me get back into my passion of animating, which I sort of lost before and just settled with doing something else but I changed my major back to animation now. People think that it's just another superhero movie but I think that it is wayyyyy more than just that
I felt pain and loss in Andrew's Spiderman the most. It beautifully reflected the grief that comes with being a superhero.
When I first saw the movie, I saw it with a girl I was dating. And I teared up when Gwen died because I pictured myself losing my gf. We dated for 2 years but she eventually broke up with me. And whenever I see that scene or hear this music, I think of losing her. And although I didnt go through the pain of her dying, I really felt like I related with Peter. A broken heart. Lost the thing you promised you wouldn't lose...
Most emotions I ever felt while watching Spider-Man was in the TASM series.

This song helped me get through a lot of stuff. Losing a family member, my girlfriend broke up with me, I almost died twice myself, lost my best friend, I've lost almost everything I ever cared about in a few short months. But somehow this soundtrack gets me through it, it reminds me that even my childhood hero went through what I am going through now

5:26 I really love how Gwen's theme starts off like peter/Spider-Man theme but much sadder and slower Peter's theme is upbeat with a hero vibes but Gwen's theme carried the same rhythm but in a slower and sadder way. It shows how Gwen is part of Peter's life no matter what happened.

Andrew's spiderman also lost his parents and his uncle the exact same way not to mention he never found the killer like Toby did, he lost Harry too ( despite their rushed scenes and very little detail about their relationship in the movie ) and he lost Gwen so he has to live with the worst 2 guilts ever for the rest of his life

Marc Webbs way of encapsulating emotion and humanity in Garfield’s Spider-Man was just something else. Growing up with his version of Spider-Man just hits different. If only he was given full creative freedom. Would have been a work of art. Will personally be my favourite version of spidey, hopefully no way home let’s Andrew finally find an ending.

The reason why I liked this Spider-Man so much was because he was so relatable. Even though he has all these powers he can’t save everyone. He suffers just like anyone else. Toms Spider-Man is kinda childish which I’m not saying is bad but I don’t feel the emotions I did while watching this Spider-Man. Still truly one that captures all the emotions and characteristics of Spider-Man.
Tom's Spider Man isn't about not saving everyone but he also does have his shortcomings like him, where he tends to make some mistakes (but in NWH, Strange did mistakes as well) due to his inexperience (due to his youth there).

The Peter/Gwen part of the Amazing movies really got to me. The only part I didn’t like was that Captain Stacy explicitly asks Peter to promise he’ll stay away from Gwen and he doesn’t do it. In the comics, Stacy asked Peter the opposite, to be there for Gwen and to not leave her alone, because she had no one else. This is basically what saved Peter from going crazy with pain, since at least he had respected the will of the Captain. But TASM Peter has both the guilt for her death and the awareness that the Captain was right, he didn’t keep his word to him and as a consequence Gwen died.
Jeez, comics Peter’s life was a mess, but TASM Peter’s life is just pure nightmare fuel.

In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter did his best to make sure Gwen wasn't there at the end fight, but she went anyway...and we all know what unfortunately happened.

Also something that comic books Peter, or Maguire’s Peter, or, hell, even Tom Holland’s Peter, would’ve never done. And that was the true first step towards her death.
I was listening to this yesterday while I was laying down, just trying to rest my eyes for a bit. And I swear I saw my whole life and what it could be play out before me. It was so beautiful, filled with friends, family, and the stuff that really matters in this life. All with this amazing soundtrack playing in the background. Hans Zimmer is truly a modern day wizard

I have realized that I miss this Spiderman, for the simple reason that we see that he is more human, he suffers a lot of losts. This last version is more childish, which is not bad, but I do not feel identified with Tom's Spiderman.

I lost my love too... we decided to be a couple in freshman year of high school, we make it all the way to senior year of college, just so some asshole can violate her and push her to suicide. What an emotional masterpiece, pretty unknown but surely one of Hans' best scores.
I love toby for his clumsiness, origins and how similar it is to the comic( the most accurate by far), I love Andrew for the love story and the tragic lost, and I love Tom for his youth and outgoing personality. In short I love all spiderman m, he is my favorite hero

This was my childhood. Im 19 now and I understand why it ended the way it did. But gwen man, the chemistry was so beautiful, her death still puts me in depression im so sorry gwen. I hope she knew in those last moments that peter loved her more than anything else.
I seriously think the reason the movie was criticized to shit was because how painful it was to keep seeing Spiderman losing everything. People probably wanted a movie where Spiderman saves the day as usual and gets the girl.
But I like this version, because it showed he can go through the worst of shit and still keep going for those he loved. If that's not inspiring and special, Idk about you people but ya'll liked how a giant purple man fucked the planet over for exactly two movies.

Y el dijo que también había quedado inconforme ya que fueron escenas sumamente importantes he interesantes, pero que la decisión la había tomado Sony y él no podía hacer nada al respecto.
Entonces la compañía se sintió ofendida, y los directores se enojaron con el actor, acusándolo de hablar mal de ellos.

andrew’s spider-man is the most perfect and accurate for me. tasm displays the loss of his uncle which is one of the most crucial parts of peter’s becoming of spider-man. tom’s spider-man lacks that and i think that’s why tom’s spider-man isn’t it for me. toby’s spider-man is absolutely nostalgic but he wasnt a great spider-man compared to andrew.
Why would this movie be called as the worst movie in marvel ? I don't understand it. Music, ending and even some extent story is far better than other marvel franchise movies. The answer is simple. Most of the people back then (especially Comic fans) couldnt deal with the realistic take in this movie.
But years later, today...everyone started to see the beauty of TASM2. We need TASM3 now with the same darkness take in this universe because this Peter Parker, is the one we can relate the most.

Alot of people hated this film but for me it was the best they weren't afraid telling the darker story alot of ppl were pissed when gwen died but it makes Andrews spider man who he is truly meant to be, read the comics she dies in the same way just instead she's knocked of the George Bridge and she broke her neck from the whiplash Stan Lee killed her off because their realstionship was to perfect and Sony did a expextional job at recreating this scene it was painful Evan more painful when Andrews and Emma's chemistry was the best on film I've seen in awhile, being a hero is doing what is right not for your own gain but for others but also being a hero means sacrifice you can't save everyone it's life.

Too much hate on the TASM movies. Theyre absolutely beautiful, especially the romance which is Peter Parker's best portrayed romance by far, I will always love these movies.

It's not just a movie to me. It means lot bigger..... Emotions and nostalgia, watching it for the first time🥺... I was just 7-8 yrs then, I still cried💔. I've been waiting for the 3rd movie which would make a clear and happy ending to this masterpiece. Tasm2 finishes out of no where with tons of #WebbCut scenes.... But how can a die hard fan like me rest without getting a conclusion... Gwen(from another dimension) can make it back after all crazy stuff at NWH and MoM.... I mean it's the time. And we gotta convince @Sony Pictures at any cost 🤞😭

Next to Tobeys,at least Andrews Spiderman actually made me feel his pain of losing Gwen. Idk whats going with Toms,and im not shitting on his portrayal. His just feels formulaic and not like a movie should.
The problem w/ Tom's Spidey imo is how he lacks depth,deals w/ no consequences(aside from somethings like his identity reveal,but considering how they've handled things so far I don't trust Marvel Studios),has everything handed to him and instead of Spider-Man(who should be an equal to the other heroes) feels more like The Baby Avenger,w/ Marvel Studios having sacrificed the essence of the character in order to have him fit in w/ the rest of the MCU when what made Spidey special is how he's a ribellious loner who does NOT fit in

@Kenia Tamara Aguilar me llena de nostalgia ver las películas de nuevo, para mi representan algo real y eso es lo que mas cuenta en una película, y tienes razón, la interpretación de Andrew es maravillosa, puedo identificarme mucho mas con el a pesar que se supone que el Peter de Holland seria contemporáneo mio, en lo personal siempre llevare la película en mi corazón así como las magnificas interpretaciones de Emma y Andrew.
@Kenia Tamara Aguilar totalmente, la primer película al menos estaba hecha con dedicación y amor al personaje, la segunda quizás no tanto, pero sigue siendo esperanzadora, se nota que comprendían bien al personaje, no como en Marvel que lo quieres hacer ver una clase de Peter Pan y Robin, que mal. De todos modos es genial estar de acuerdo y compartir la opinión de alguien.

Every time I’m feeling down I go to this track to let things out, I don’t know what it is but something about Andrew’s Peter has connected with me the most that I couldn’t find in the other two interpretations. Don’t get me wrong I love the other ones too but Andrew’s has always been different. I can feel the emotions he’s feeling, I can connect to what he’s feeling and it’s really the only Spider-Man movies I have ever watched that have been able to make me tear up or even cry. They give me a sense or reassurance that I’m not alone and that everything will be okay, and even though I also enjoy tom’s Peter, I just wish I could find these type of feelings in Spider-Man movies again, they are part of what made me fall deeply in love with the character.

spider-man has been my hero for as long as i can remember. regardless of the quality of the films, the character always resonated with me. especially those feelings of loss carried through the score of this film.
approaching the end of my life now i return to this music, reminding myself of all that was and no longer is, whilst remembering everything i’ve always looked up to, i am feeling sad but content. i have been struggling for too long now. the only sense of control we have as individuals, is that control we have over ourselves. i’ve got to take control of my own life now and make that decision, to rest peacefully.

Peter reviews his father (scene removed from the film but available on CZcams). He tries to mourn gwen but can not, and often sees the head of Gwen's father remembering the promise he made.
He faces rhino, rhino destroys a crane that falls on a base of a building. Rhino almost ko runs away and spideman is projected on the nearest building. He holds the building with all his might but fails to prevent the inevitable. He pulls himself to break his bones and tear the flesh. The scene lasted 5 minutes, all the people in the building were able to leave. Peter falls from the building making a big dive, he sees his first meeting with gwen, the visit to osborn, his first kiss, the time he prevented the departure of gwen for England, then the death of Gwen ..
