Welcome to our embarkation day vlog! This trip was a dream come true and I'm so excited to relive the memories with all of you. We live in Anchorage, Alaska (born and raised up here too) and this trip combined 2 things we love dearly - Alaska and Disney.
We were on the 2nd sailing of the 2024 Alaska cruise season, May 20 - 27, 2024. Our captain was Captain Daniele Aschero (aside from Mickey and Minnie of course ;)) and our cruise director was Jimmy Lynett.

It was crazzzzzy… Some people were grabbing loads of shirts and other merch and sitting on the floor counting how many of each size to buy. 😒

I went on the disney wonder cruise in September 2005. One great thing about the cruise was me and my cousin were next door to each other. I know this because I looked around the balcony that our room had on the ship and I saw my aunt next door. Also Tianas place used to Parrot Cay where I would eat breakfast on the cruise with my parents.
Ahhh! I remember Parrot Cay! It was still Parrot Cay the first time we sailed on the Disney Wonder in May 2016 and then I believe in the fall is when they reimagined it to be Tiana's Place. I used to say the reject birds from the Enchanted Tiki Room went to Parrot Cay and Cariocas on the Magic, lol. I liked the restaurants even though they were a little on the cheesier side.
