Im french and I have no idea what these things were. At one point, some things looked like a sad croissant. And I dont know who got the idea to cut bread like if it was an apple pie.
😂
The so called croissants look like industrial stuff, that is imitating something. Real french croissants are so wonderful! As a German I know what I am talking about because no nation has more different and wonderful bread than we have. And although German bread is outrunning french bread easily, I have to admit that croissants and baguettes are a great thing, so you can buy them also here in every bakery. Thank you French, for inviting that!
@@haggihug3162have you ever been in France?
@@wendigo6782 Yes, several times.
@@haggihug3162 bro bread in Germany and France are both good quality
Nice try on French bread / viennoiserie. How ever I know you do with whatever you find but none of these look like what we really have in France :) no crunch no butter flavor! Next trip come to France and you will have the real deal!
Love you guys keep going :)
This! !!I didn't really recognise any of the breads as I know them.... What even is "Butter bread"?
perhap's european bread or industrial bread. it's not bad but far from french bread.
@@carlconstantdeflon2373 actually "pain au beurre" is à créole speciality :)
Gee whizz---give them some tea, coffee, or at least some water!!! I am feeling choked just watching!!!
French breads is never dry but indeed it needs Coffee or hot Chocolate to dip, certainly not tea !
They really needed tea with this. And maybe some jam.
Fr
Coffee or hot Chocolate to dip, certainly not tea !
You seems to have a French name, do you often eat it with tea ? Interesting, but may suit their taste yeah.
The guys really needed some butter or jam with the bread!!! And can you please give them tea with their meals?
It's the food they have to try and comment based on taste. If you add something else other than the food that they have to try, it will alter the taste. If they have to taste the bread, they can not eat it with jam.
@@waynet8327 I disagree
How many times have you seen them put catsup or flavored toppings on stuff.
@texastedskol , Yes. French fries because ketchup goes with french fries, and that is understandable.
@@waynet8327you mean mayonnaise surely
All I need is a baguette with brie cheese, prosciutto with pickles and I'm a happy man.
Perfect. My preferred pickle with this combination is cornichon! Oh my goodness... now my mouth is watering! LOL
@@bobbiejojackson9448 Stop. It. You two are killing me.
OMG! I cannot live without my brie and baguette! Elderly and on fixed income but have to have it!! Never tried with pickles but headed to store now! Thanks!
And don’t forget some mustard with tomatoes.
I'd be happy too if I had that kind of money to buy prosciutto and brie. I have to settle for baloney and velveeta. 😂😂😂
Gentlemen, I so appreciate your personalities and opinions about the food, and the way you use humor!. Thank you MUCHLY for sharing.!👌👌👌

Offer them hydration with items such as this!! OMG!

All cultures love bread, and the French make some of the best. I really hope, for your chef's sake, that you found a French bakery somewhere in Pakistan! That would be a lot of complicated bread to bake for one person in a small kitchen. But whoever baked it - good job! I have no idea if it is authentic, but it certainly took time and effort and looks delicious!
Hey Tribal People Try Team! Thanks for uploading a video on my birthday to make it a little sweeter, it would be great if you could do german bread next!
Happy Birthday!
@@dianeladico1769 Thank you so much!
No butter, jam, or cream? No tea? This would have been a torture tasting.
We have a different understanding of what "torture" means. You would put butter on top of butter bread? Really? Would you like a side of fries with your diabetes, sir?
@@LucaGRizziI'm mystified where the cream should be applied too 😂😂

Greetings from East Tennessee USA! I live to experience this as often as possible! But cannot understand why they cannot enjoy a cup of simple tea with all their meals! I bet they were near choking on the breads! Even when they mention it they don't get it! 😢
French breads (like most Western bread products) are eaten in multiple ways, both savory and sweet, with a filling or topping of some kind and as a side item to go along with a meal. I would normally agree that it's a good idea to try certain food items on their own, in order to get the true unadulterated flavors and textures, but I do feel like any of these breads could have been served with some fresh dairy butter, without having it take anything away from the overall experience. That's probably the most basic or common way that breads and rolls, etc. are eaten in most Western cultures. Even a butter-rich croissant, could always benefit from being sliced in half, with a bit of additional butter, spread thinly on each half. At the very least, I feel like a cup of hot tea would have been more enjoyable than just serving the "dry" breads on their own.
I'm hoping that you let GSK know, off camera, that you were serving them the plain breads/rolls, specifically so they could experience the original flavors and textures, but that there are an almost infinite number of different ways that Westerners use/consume different types of bread, including to sop up some delicious gravy from a stew or a Sunday roast dinner. They all looked wonderful, by the way. I'm very curious to know if the chef made the croissants from scratch, or if they were obtained from a grocery store or a bakery, etc. If he did make them from scratch, please pass on my compliments! That is a real accomplishment! Croissants require some serious patience and pastry skills to get the desired results!! Much love and God's abundant blessings to everyone in the TPT family! 💛🙏🕊
The producer doesn’t really know what he’s serving, these professional food tasters pretending to be newbies spew nonsense, and the closed caption guy doesn’t know English.
@@voidmstr LOL Well... don't you have a vivid imagination! "Professional food tasters"? Now that's a take on this channel that I've never heard before. 😂
Most breads have a subtle flavor that relies on the flavor of the ingredients and texture alone. It's more of a blank canvas than anything else.
More butter please! Sourdough is just a leavening agent. It is sour indeed. It's an acquired taste.
It must have been hard to swallow after the first few bites with no butter, cheese, jam or drink to wash it down
A simple sip of tea would provide a much better feeling for the viewers.
.
Great music TPT crew!! Hello from Australia. I love these men and this channel. Thank you for teaching me about a totally different world than the one I know, …and the beautiful people who live there. 😁
French bread with Italian herbs in olive oil ….. yum
I am french and I have never seen any of those things in my entire life. I don't know what those things are or where they come from but I can garanty you that a traditionnal boulangerie doesn't have any of those.
58yo woman here, from France, I've working in bakery and I confirme that none of those breads are French (please, ours looks so much more beautiful!) except the "croissants" that are perhaps the worst croissants I ever see in my entire life. They are hundred per cent industrial and the worst quality you can find every where out of France. I'm very disappointed because I love so much this Chanel and those men.
German bread is delicious. There was a german baker in Ennistymon in Ireland.... his bread was out of this world. 😊
As a German I agree totally 😊
German food seems perfect for me. Bread products, cheese, sausage, what's not to love? I say bread products because just saying "bread" doesn't get the point across in English. Our idea of bread is so pathetic compared to what Germany has.
Yes I agree lol, I can't eat when there is nothing to drink ☕
These guys are certainly living their best lives. 🎉
I think the TPT Gentlemen would enjoy "Monkey Bread".......(sweet and delicious)
They should had at least a glass of milk with all that bread variety.
You ask a very good question during the video, how can French people eat these breads without jam or tea. Of course they have a beverage with the bread. Westerners love bread and can eat it just by itself or with bread or with jam, but there is always a beverage whether it’s a cup of coffee or a cup of tea or a glass of water or juice. I have asked the people who prepare these food tastings for you to always provide you with at least a glass of water, but they don’t listen to the viewers. They don’t listen to our requests. They let you eat food without any beverage and it makes no sense to me at all.
I could never it bread by itself and don't know anyone who does, it needs to at least have butter, or have it with a soup or stew if it has nothing on it, but even with soups or stews, I still put butter on it. I'm Australian.
@@jennysmith38 No Vegemite?
@@jennysmith38I'm American and I eat bread by itself. Usually it is a dense or hard bread though, and yes, there is always a beverage. I also sometimes eat sweet breads on their own, but that's almost more like cake.
@@TestUser-cf4wj do you have butter on it? I love eating freshly baked bread with just butter, or sometimes garlic butter. I'm not a big fan of any of the sweet bread that I have tried, eventhough I have a sweet tooth, usually for anything chocolate related. I like hearing about the different foods that people eat. We were brought up to try any food at least once, mum would always say, "if you don't like, go spit it out in the toilet, but at least try it, you might be surprised". Have a good one.
Another great video. Sourdough is a bread that you either love or hate.
Sourdough is the best bread.
I hate
Sourdough needs the right foodstuffs paired with it otherwise it's a complete miss!
Had a sourdough clam chowder bowl one time where the bowl is a sourdough bread. It was so 🔥
Making bread is an art form IMO .. sadly our western culture have made it too easy to just run to the store and get bread. The smell of home made bread or buns .. filling the house is something you will not soon forget. Great job
The chef did a fantastic job baking all of these varieties of bread. I was waiting for the French baguette though! It would have been even better if they would have been given butter or jam to taste with the breads.
They should make stuffed bread and serve it to the guys. Yum!
I wish the channel would feature a word a day in their language. Show the word in English then how it's written there and how to pronounce it. That could be fun.
They need a cup of tea with this.
I'm French and I don't think it looks like French bread. It doesn't look like the great classics : baguettes , banettes, pains de campagnes etc ..
Pain avec raisin? Pain avec du chocolat? Where are these? Or even the simple baquette? Glad to see that you included the croissant (truly a lovely thing) - but while I am sure these were all very good - it seems you missed the most iconic of the French boulangerie. Still love these guys (and I could see using that oregano bread with a good curry).
Loved this episode of TPT! Freshly baked bread is so good also Croissants are delicious! Sending much love to the whole team! Thank you for another awesome video! 👍 Tennnnnn! :)
This is a very enjoyable video 👍👍.
Great video! You really can't go wrong with French breads. 🥖😋👍🏼
Why can’t you give them tea or coffee to enjoy it better?
I'm torn between wishing Tahir had some tea and wondering if he'd eat a bite by itself to get the flavor before dunking all of it.
No baguette ? Not French
“FRENCH” breads but no BAGUETTE?!?! THIS IS A HUGE FAIL!!! Also….most of the breads were NOT French🤦🏻♂️🙄
Except (bad croissants ever) none of them was French.
I'm a European and I must admit that I actually prefer paratha or roti over any other bread now since I've been to India.
It was my fave breakfast there with amazing sweet milk tea every morning in the local bazar. So delicious...
I was born in France lived in France most of my life, and despite of that some of those breads are unknown for me :)
Because none of them are close to any French breads. Just the croissants was look like croissant but industrial one and the worst quality that nobody could buy in France. I'm disappointed.
History fact:
Sourdough’s place of origin and ancestral home is California.
never heard suchen bs, sourdough bread is first made in egyptean civilisatiion and was probably known before that
No it’s French because the say so but seriously….how do you do “French” breads without a baguette?
lmao
I'm sure the would love French Toast with butter and maple syrup
As a native French and old baker i must say that most of those bread arent french. And the one's who are exposed are low quality sadly.. I think its weird to not see a french baguette, which is kinda the emblem of France all around the world...
Btw, the croissants are no longer considered as bread but as pastries or viennoiseries since 1920.
I know that its hard to find real stuff from other country so i respect the try, but it gives a wrong idea to people who are trying it sadly :/
I'm in the same position as you. And not to speak about the croissant's quality that is looking industrial. So disappointed.
Italian bread is amazing I bought a panacotta in a box and was surprised how nice it is and how fast it's eaten by my family
They need some good Ole buttermilk cornbread.
These guys are great 🙏🏻💗
Wonder what they would think of watching a competitive eater, like joel hansen...or any of the others out there...think that might be humorous to watch...lol
Except for the croissants, none of the other breads they tasted are French.
The gentleman with the beautiful head pieces seems to struggle with his front teeth .
Maybe a fundraiser to get him to a modern dentist to help improve his life .
Bread is eaten with butter spread on it.
Show them a video how long it takes for bakers to make croissant. They'll have their mind blown! Edit: PLEASE, give them a more broader explanation of the products they try.
Damn, no butter, no tea or water, be hard to swallow....in all these tastings, i wish they would give these gents a good cuppa
This is another awesome Tribal People Try with more delicious
food for them to try for the first time.😋🥞🍔🍕🍫😋
They have been asking to please surve Tea with meals for years now. Give them tea ! Especially with bread! A little butter wouldn't have hurt either. They still would have tasted the flavor of the bread.
I've been living in France for 66 years and, a part from (mini) croissants which aren't considered bread here, I've never seen any of the breads shown here in any of the 100s of French bakeries I've visited.
Nothing is french in this video. Poor guys...😢
Hmm! It's nice, but it doesn't really look like the traditional bread that we French eat every day! These are more “fancy” breads that we enjoy from time to time, with the exception of brioche (butter bread) and croissants which are almost more classified as pastries than as bread.
It's not a legend, but the most famous traditional French bread is the "baguette"! We eat it every day and it's really good and typical. All French people who stay abroad will tell you that what they miss most from France is cheese and baguette!
I would live to see them eat more bread from other countries. Focaccia,Rye,Pumpernickel and soda bread, to name a few.
Some tea and some ghee would have elevated these "French" ( 🤨) breads substantially for our fearless reactors.
Sourdough Bread is excelleht, they've never had it before is why they didn't care for its flavor.
Love your vidéos but I'm French and this aren't French bread😅
Please, those gentlemen need a big glass of cold water to go with all of that dry bread!
No jam with the croissants?
Dear, the french croissants are NOT eaten with jam or butter ! 😂😂😂
No baguette? They missed the best.
Suggestion for next video: Book them a Hotel room in a city and let them stay there and see what they think about it
They have travelled before
They havent been at a luxury hotel before
French bread Is good.
Also german bread, they make over 3300 different sorts.

TPT, next time please give them some tea to drink along with the bread. It would be easier to swallow. I would be asking for coffee or milk. At the very least, give them some water.
You should do a sourdough bowl of chowder if it's allowed.
Gotta love Mr. Moustache!!!! Too funny!!!!
You should have them try buttery garlic toast and see what they say!!
Where is Mr Rana lately? I Hope all is well with him
He broke his leg😢, but he will be back!
Love the channel. Keep up the good work.
I think they meant to say flax seeds, not flex seeds.
Excusez-moi, Pita originates from the middle-east, NOT France, your sample may have been misnamed…and I understand that sour-dough bread comes from the San Francisco area in California USA, again…not France. And croissants are preferably eaten hot or at least warm to reveal their true buttery taste; cold, they’re so-so. Nonetheless, the variety was interesting.
Sourdough does not come from San Francisco. I mean, sure, sourdough is made there and came to be associated with the city for some reason, but the process of making sourdough is far, far older than the California gold rush.
@@markhamstra1083 Thank you for the correction, then. Have a great day.
@@markhamstra1083 Hi again…I discovered sourdough late in life as it was not a regular staple at various local supermarkets- in Québec province- I always believed the urban legend about the barrel of flour being spoiled by rainwater etc. etc…. it is fantastic toasted. Take good care.
This is great, but why not give them French Baguettes & French bread with chutney or curry to dip?😌👍
What do these poor men have to do to get a cup of TEA? Come on, PD, you know you'd make tea to have with these breads yourself!
Love sourdough! Delicious
I could live on French bread and butter
Please let them try the french "cannelés" also name in french "cannelés de Bordeaux"
You should do Italian bread next
The big guy has a higher tolerance for sugar than the others 😂
Everyone is complaining that it has no tea or jam. They have to taste the bread and give their honest opinion. If you give them tea.or jam, it will alter the taste. Everyone is complaining that there's no drink or water. The channel is not an idiot. Im sure they have water if the gentleman request for water. Relax people and think.
You’re right, mate!! Spot on…. 👍🏼
Hi tribal people. Sorry to say but none of those breads are french. i 'm from Paris. Only the miniature croissants and they seems to be spongy where they should be airy and flaky . at least a frozen baguette, a baguette Tradition, pain de campagne. Fougasse, brioche
Sour dough bread has to have good butter on it.
from France. It doesn't seem that products are best ones of their category
Dr. Tahir strikes again!
Pita? French bread o_O i'll ask my "boulanger" !!
Add a good quality olive oil for dipping plzzzz

Pita bread... French? Are you from another planet?
Pita bread is from the Eastern Mediterranean countries! It's also called Arab bread.
BTW, I've never come across any of those varieties of bread in France. They should have proposed 'baguette', 'pain de campagne', 'pain complet' or 'fougasse' instead. As for the croissants, they looked as if they had shrunk while baking! LOL. Poor guys, they're probably still thinking they tasted French bread!
They need something with it, anything.
Where is the platter of things to accompany the breads?! Butter, jam, gravy/curry, salad/dressing, etc?
give them some toppings, like brie cheese or something.
WTF
On coupe pas les miches de pain comme un gateau ...

As a French it's not for me it's not a big deal, the real problem it's none of those breads are French except the croissant. But the croissants looks like the worst quality ever.
