You have to respect Kenny’s perspective bc it holds us accountable, the consumers have the power specifically black culture, we just love discord and feed off toxicity.
He’s been in the industry for decades and knows better than Rashad and Ian.
I agree with Ian. Stop tap dancing around the truth people. The whole industry is trash . Rumors have been swirling about Diddy , Jay z , and among many others having a shady background for years. People acting surprise STOP IT! The most disgusting part is many people knew about these people toxic behavior and still dealt with them for money and fame. Everyone needs to be held accountable. Have some respect and integrity about yourself. Stop idolizing these people. Anyone can be taken down .
FACT‼️
Well said!
Thank you! I was getting annoyed so many times. The beating around the bush, the nothing sandwich sentences… kb all talking about what the consumers need to do, but he all scared af to say puff slapped jlo. I felt Ian’s frustration as well
Jay-Z aint got no shady background.
What about Jay Z? you people won’t rest until all the successful black men are no longer successful!
I wish they would let Kenny speak more, he has a wealth of knowledge about the entire entertainment industry
It’s not just about the entertainment industry this was about people and money and influence
If she’s beautiful, not “smart”, but coachable, it’ll wrk 👌🏾😎
Puffy wasn’t taken down, he did that to himself
Not disagreeing but it’s bigger than Diddy. That tape was known about in 2016. If they can’t charge him then why show us 8 years later. They could have charged him then… but they didn’t. Why not?🤔
We don’t need to cancel anybody but we need to start holding people accountable and address certain situations
Once diddy tried to sue that liquor company…. His problems started becoming [public].
His problems started when he started his abusing spree.
Most black people dont care why is its happening. The media gives us permission to like or dislike someone. I wish we could put this much energy into building and working together for something construtive.
@@michaeldavis2121so the media made Diddy kick Cassie in the face like a football. Come on yall just need to realize these evil doers been evil from the start but as they rise, nobody says anything. Diddy has a bad rep for years and not just for his business deals. This is the year of exposure and all the evil is being exposed and nobody is exempt.
That part!
Things were reported well before that. Stop the cap
This episode really touched me!!!! Keep bringing Kenny burns on!!! 🔥🔥🔥
"F" Kenny
Diddy brought it to himself.
I’m with Ian, I’m 40 and I been hearing negative rumors for the past 30 yrs. None of us should be surprised. Add Jay Z AND DR. Dre to that list!😙
And Eminem who abused his wife for years yet no one speaks about it.
Thank you for keeping it real with us. We're all getting hit over the head with these prices, the good thing is being in a position to pay these prices. I feel really bad for those who are not in the position to pay for their basic needs.
Thank you Ian for not letting up and not faking for the camera, the eye roll to the ceiling...priceless 😂
I absolutely loved this conversation. It felt so sincere y’all were podding but it also felt like we were privy to a three way phone conversation lol. Puff has let the community down OFFICIALLY and yeah he needs to go somewhere but removing him won’t change how the music or entertainment industry functions. It’s a game. Bad deals, bad splits, lack of morals, intelligence and real empowerment. But here is the fact and I’m including myself in this but y’all brothers are doing the work, WE ARE WHO WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!
I appreciate y’all addressing the Diddy situation so thoroughly so we want everyone to bring it up again. I love EYL and Kenny your brutal honesty is so appreciated!
Ever not everyone
KENNY YOUR ENERGY IS GOOD FOR THIS SHOW!!! EVERYTIME YOU COME ON THIS SHOW ,THE VIBE WITH , IAN , SHORTY AND YOU , IS AMAZING!!! NOT TO MANY PODCAST CAN KEEP MY ATTENTION!!! PLUS YOU'LL KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT!!! GREAT SHOW!!!
Sad to see the fall of another black man, sadder to see what he did to Cassie. Great conversation my brothers.
IT IS NOT ABOUT CANCEL CULTURE, it’s about sitting people in time out! Kenny is NEEDED.
Thanks for having Mr. Burns on the show. Thanks for bringing up a much-needed discussion. Thanks for talking about integrity, even though it is not popular at the moment.
Glad EYL addressed the situation, given the previous contribution/relationship. Great conversation. Just want to say Puff took himself down. Everyone can take a lesson on controlling the ego and how the lack of accountability can fester into something bigger. But Absolute corrupts absolutely. Every time...
Appreciate how y'all approached the topic. Also appreciate the respect shown when y'all disagreed.
“You got an answer for everything” lol 😅
This was much needed, we can feel the pain of it, but we all got through it together, that’s the point
Dope a$$ convo from a black man's perspective. Thank you gentlemen 👍🏾
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Episode. One of the best for sure. Salute to Kenny for adding his perspective 💯
Kenny is an Ass
Always so insightful shout out to Kenny
Kenny is Truth 🫡 Respect 💯
He was talking in circles for a lot that Diddy stuff. Acting obtuse right along with Rashad.
Ian "I'm not a music industry expert so i'll pitch it back to you, Kenny". DFKM, Ian. priceless. tuuuu guuuud. lol
Rashad I just want to tell you, your “long story short” is never short 😭😂
Man! Get to the point all their stuff could be 45 min or less but so much fluff/quiet bragging.
@@cryptohoopzstory was still good 15-20 mins 😩🤦🏾♀️
Shoty, I have watched you over the years. You have evolved into a great speaker. I'm loving your topics and 10 toes down Spirit. Ase'o
I would have loved to hear more from Kenny and Ian
I can’t imagine how hard it is & has been, but even if one person is receiving the message you all have done His work. It is time. Thank you Troy, Rashad, Ian, & the team.
Thank you guys for being so righteous. It’s amazing to see
Great show fellaz
Well explained. Thank you for bringing up this video. Financial education is indeed required for more than 70% of the society in the country as very few are literate on the subject .....I value MRs Celina Raghee and her helpful guides...
Okay, this conversation is intense. I love to hear these brothers each voice their strong points of view.
The segment on toxic situations is excellent 👏🏽
Dope segment Kenny 🫡💯
Bring Kenny back on
Appreciate this work you good men do.
Kenny Burns made a point that the [fans - I change it to include non-African Americans] did not hold R. Kelly accountable for his actions especially when the video came out. The video coming out in the 2000s should have made it mainstream news but never did until the documentary - that was beginning of R. Kelly downfall. Again, many who have seen the video justified that the young lady look mature and was doing things that a 13 year olds did not do. We hold women accountable for their behaviour - look at how she dressed, why was she in room with grown men etc. and we overlook men's bad behaviour by saying boys will be boys. Truth is the law does not protect women - PERIODT.
Shadi is 100% right. The people (community/consumers) were aware of these issues. Not until the higher ups/ powers that be have an issue, do these people fall from grace.
Kenny burns is making a lot of sense, right on the money
When Kenny Burns said Rashad quotes TF of some raps 🤣🤣
The beauty and brain choice is easy. It comes down to a simple question. “Do you want her to raise your kids?”
Had to do an audio event on Fanbase. Couldn’t wait to get in here for this episode ! Tapping in now
Fanbase💪🏿
I'm confused Kenny is acting like we just all knew about every little last thing that went on and Diddy inner circle. Or in R Kelly's. This is kind of weird. He's trying to put accountability on the consumer when we hardly knew what was going on period while all the record labels actually did
So thankful for Ian and Kenny’s perspectives on DV because this has to stop especially in the black community
Of course he said yes “he needed a platform to state his position with Ciroc” That’s what happens when the Culture places its power into something other than itself. I am in full agreement with Kenny, the Culture, the people, allowed with their coins. The Consciousness of the culture is so low, it no longer recognizes itself of the true power they are and have.
I just hollered!! That Ian is so comical 😩
Have so much respect for Kenny burns!
23:08 👑KB is the perfect panelist for this conversation! Breathe of fresh air when it comes to this topic.

Rashad didn’t realize Diddy was flirting with him
I’m here for @KennyBurns!! #legend!
Oooo child yall spilling all the tea
I went to investfest the year diddy headline and I refused to hear him speak, I stayed in the vendor area because certain foul people, my spirit wont allow me to celebrate. I grew up in that era too, diddy behavior on making the band, including his ego was enough for me to question his character. But the cameras don’t force nobody to make artists do tortuous things like walk to Brooklyn for some damn cheesecake. You got to say to yourself if this mug treats people like this on camera, how does he treat people behind closed 🚪 doors. Crazy that Rashad that about dudes who can’t get over their ex, my ex really followed me to investfest last year. When in previous years I went, he had negativity about me going.
I never went in. Instead I went to the food vendors as well as the vendor area. It just didn't feel right. There was an unrest in me. Couldn't do it.
Facts I was there as well at invest fest. I listen to some of what Diddy said however didn’t care for him as a headliner, I listen to the little he said it was no substance. I also feel he used EYL brand to act as if he’s for the culture and marketing tactics.
I was a kid watching making the band and always thought “why would you treat people like that?” Diddy has always had an evil aura around him.
Not gonna lie walking to Brooklyn wasn’t that big of a deal and they didn’t have to. The Cassey situation is completely different and inexcusable
@@glenngriggs6445 yea it was a big deal. You clearly don’t live in NY or have ever visited. That is not an up the street walk- walking from
One borough to another. It showed his sadistic character and the way he like to see people in pain. Hello!
“Everybody’s dope” in ya bes Kenny Burns Voice. Love Yall Grown minded Men!!👑🔮👑
SHORTY THAT EXCATLY WHAT HE NEEDED TO HAPPEN!!! HE NEEDED TO HERE THAT !!! YOU STOOD!!! BLACK MEN STANDING HOLDING OTHER BLACK MEN ACCOUNTABLE RESPECTFUL!!!👏👏👏👏👏
Ian Dunlap made the most VALID point. WHY ARE WE SURPRISED! Diddy has been the topic of discussion for DECADES regarding Violence & Dirty deeds. To MEN & WOMEN! Kenny deflected that REALITY. It doesn’t matter if we SEEN it or not. 🎯
Preach Kenny! The truth of the matter is this is a lost for the culture on all sides.
Thank you Nas❤❤❤
That Kenny burns outro was on point
I'm glad they brought someone Ol school on the show to bring perspective. The problems are always going to be, trying to solve problems without perspective. No one can understand why Diddy got away with what he did for so long because we didn't have the perspective to understand. Hindsight is always 20/20. I agree with Kenny. KRS One said the Culture allowed Capitalistic exploitation of our own Culture.
Thank u for addressing domestic violence
Larussell is for the culture and the people please bring him on y’all black out show and market Mondays
They've already brought him on a while back, a couple times actually, it was a really good one too! Very very informative!
Greatness should be deeper than surface level. An award makes u good at a craft. Doesn't mean that u will qualify as a good person or a leader.
Kenny is 1000% right. The onus is on the community and the consumers who funded and therefore enabled this operation to function for so long. The labels distributed it and possibly even protected their investment but if we didn’t buy it there would be no more product being put out
Great discussion, guys! As long as capitalism exists in full, it will be hard to see full accountability from certain corners.
I'm a college student and I was looking to enter the contest. I can't find it on the website.
Is it safe to say he won’t be at invest fest this year?
Rashad is right nobody is canceled until “THE PEOPLE”cancels you… “the people” have no power because we are not united
Kenny is right. If the community would’ve stopped supporting them, then I believe this would’ve stopped a long time ago.
Yo I hope y’all sons appreciate yall as father I never had mine and hearing some of yall advice yall give I would love to have as a young men great one with this 🤝🏾
This is so deep that it hurt. Black gotta step up, they plan to save their future and their children and the generations to come. We have to learn to help one another in way ways.
I’m so glad they featured this topic. This was a FANTASTIC conversation on so many levels.
58:50 Ian & Rashad! I really enjoy your guys' show. Rashad you mentioned at @58:50 having logistical issues that forced you guys to be flexible with Puff's slot at investfest. I'm all ears to hear your concerns there, and I think you'll want to hear about my consumer ticketing & logistics software solution.
Kenny on the azz!!!!! Lmao “slick sh&t You and Ian done got SPICY!!” That was hilarious.
What's the Kodak song they were talking about?
I agree with Ian.
Ian keep it 💯 Bernie Maddof reference 🎯
Ian is right though and straight to the point. Shady people are very visible.
You’re right, NY was different in the 90’s if you know you know!
Great convo! And imo 19 Keys & Billy Carson are the new Malcom X & MLK Jr...EYL 4 Life. 🥰💜❤️💙💚
It's not about who made it more difficult for us to enter through those doors, it's about us creating our own doors! It's past due time we stop depending on them.
Great conversation. But please also add, “Let’s be more conscious of the way we raise our sons,” as well. Women wouldn’t have to be so wary of men all the time if more men were raised to respect women.
Thank you
I disagree with Ian on this one because people say really bad things about him and they say he’s a scammer. He is NOT a scammer!
That's why this is the Black Out! No Rules To This Shit! 🔥 🔥 🔥 💯
I thought Ian said on market mondays he was going in this episode of blackout. Where?
😂😂
They didn't let him go in like he wanted to. I was looking forward to it, but both Rashad and Kenny cut him off a lot, especially Kenny.
I had to come back and watch again because I took a Benadryl for an allergy and was out cold. 😂
Ya'll forgot Russell Simons / Def Jam Logo 12:39
Kenny kept it all the way real at the 44 min mark.
yeah bring back Mr Burns back and make black out 2 hours
Kels still getting radio spins outside the USA ... Fiesta fiesta
I totally agree Kenny, Shoty and Ian... the energy was very spicy.
if the podcast is going to invite a guess on the show please let them finish their point before you interject. Appreciate everyone's time thoughts on this situation.
And thank you for bringing back kenny Burns on the show again. 💐
I agree. Why invite people and not give them the opportunity to speak.
Troy would of balanced this whole conversation out he usually the balance in the room
Brains all day!! Beauty can fade.
I told people back in November Diddy was going to drop the lawsuit against Diageo and was put on notice.
Homerun episode!
