That is nothing special I remember that Happening in other shonen jump series I think like my hero academia and one piece. It's not special or meaningful in the actual story, I think it's used to not interrupt the flow.
(Not a spoiler, sorry these are the most recent examples I have hopefully you can understand what I am saying without looking. These are important chapters to the story so go ask someone) Hey, I went to check. In chapter 1073 of one piece they put the too be continued on the second to last page. Other pages like 1071-1072 also move the to be continued around in the final page so it doesn't interrupt the story text and important panels(the to be continued is in the center of the page). Now the most important example is chapter 1061 of one piece where the text is in the final page but not on the floor of the page but above the final panal. The reason is because of a reveal and it would simply interrupt this important moment and i believe this is happening with jjk this week were the final page is so important that the text bubble would not be considered appropriate there.

Probably the chapter was supposed to finish in the penultimate panel. But then very late in the process they decided to add this Gojo page in chapter 260. Then they probably forgot to remove the chapter finish tag and add it at the appropriate place.
Which make sense, because if you remove the last page, it still works as a good end of chapter..
That was my guess. I’d imagine the final page was originally pg 1 of 261 but Gege/WSJ editors made a last-minute change

I really think it was intentional to put a comment on the penultimate panel :) it might be too far fetched, but it could work quite well for two reasons:
1st, it shows us something about Sukuna's perception that is so new for him that "the order of things" and his expectations got shaken, or something has overtaken him for too early. (That means that the comment in the penultimate panel is a stylistic device for the narration.)
2nd, it is a great way to mark the beginning of a new phase in the fight without any verbalization. Like a non-verbal announcement of a new/final arc.
Things don't work for Sukuna as well as he is used to. At least, this is what I'm hoping for. :)

Takaba would be useless against sukuna though. Sukuna wouldn't go with his jokes like Kenjaku did.
Kenjaku wasn't going with the jokes at the start of the fight. Takaba's CT forces you to play along. Kenjaku going with the jokes is how he was able to eventually satisfy Takaba's sense of humor to "defeat" him. Since Sukuna wouldn't do this, if he couldn't get Takaba's confidence to waver, stopping the CT for a moment, Sukuna wouldn't be able to harm him at all. I mean I'm sure the Jujutsu genius king of curses would find a way around the technique, but Kenjaku loving comedy was actually his only advantage in that fight

If anyone remembers AoT's Season 3 Part 1's ending. They did this with the ending song.
So essentially this part of the story "should" have ended with Yuji piercing Sukuna's heart.
But something which wasn't supposed to happen, happened.
Someone who was supposed to be dead, came back.
What happened in AOT? Forgotten

The end credit are going all good and normal and all of a sudden the ending starts glitching and distorting and some really creepy images flashes on the screen with some distorted noises in the background. It was another one of Isayama's foreshadowing. That man was a total beast when it came to foreshadow future events. He needs to make another manga soon fr

I was very wierded out by this and kept refreshing the reddit spoilers because i thought there will be another page. I think this happened a few times in one piece so i dont pay too much thought to it. Its a wierd little detail.

This is very interesting and something I would’ve never picked up on myself, great find. It might be nothing, that’s possible, but it’s way more fun to think about what it could mean as an intentional choice.

@@fernandotrevinocastro1018 no. if that was the case, we wouldnt see the editor's note in the page, but rather the 2nd to last. the order of the pages is correct, and this was probably intentional as well on gege's part, that is to leave confusion.
Thank you man, it’s prob nothing but end credit scenes that give eerie feels (ex. S3 AoT glitch scene) always turn my stomach and if art can do that so subtly I’m here for it
This has happened before with other manga when the end of chapter note doesn't fit neatly in the very final page. For example in this chapter the bottom of the final page is very full, it would have required covering part or Gojo's face or one of the two text boxes.
To remedy this they just put the end of chapter on the previous page. Normally on the magazine you see both pages at once (unlike with scans where we read one page at a time) so they both count as the final page.

What I haven’t seen ppl talk about is how the silhouette of Gojo is shown in third person not first person. There is someone actually there and not Sukuna’s imagination.

I read somewhere that Sukuna is seeing Gojo's apparition as UV takes affect. The reasoning is that he just broke the first binding vow he made when clashing Domain's against Gojo at the beginning; in order to avoid UV's sure hit effect he set a vow the he wouldn't use any new handsigns or CTs when casting a barrierless domain, and all the information that Gojo hit him with in those clashes is affecting him now that the binding vow isn't their to protect him from the aftereffects.

Not only that, but right after the dream sequence it cuts to Gojo smiling before uiui takes him, the fact that yuta hasn't came back yet from a point blank dismantle should have made it clear that if Gojo did come back, id take more then healing

I was thinking, a good way to use the curse corpses would be to have them stores as backups, UI Ui teleports the almost-dead cast, transfer the soul to the dummy corpses, wait for Shoko or Yuuta to heal the empty bodies, then transfer the soul from CC to original body back
I thought of the first part myself but not the healing of the bodies, it would make sennse

The end tag being on the second to last page has happened in other manga series, Black Clover being one, I believe. I don’t think it carries any story significance, but instead might’ve been done to not block out parts of Gojo’s panel at the bottom of the page.
I look at the title for the video and think to myself “oh my god, what now!?”
something ive noticed at least with TCBscans is that sometimes the chapter end box gets shifted around a lil bit, unsure if this is how it is in the shonen jump release as well but at least for their one piece translations it isnt uncommon for the next chapter box to not be on the final page as well
this also happened in chapter 150 of Sakamoto Days, as a fake out.

I noticed that too. I thought the lay out was that the page with the end of chapter was on the left side and when the reader turns the page they find an extra page with a hint of Gojo returning. I call those a jump page kinda like a jump scare

I think that Gojo panel is only a part of the full panel that will come out in the next chapter or that last page will be the first page in the next chapter
A theory I have because of this clearly purposeful formatting is it ends on that page because that’s actually where the fight ends. Sukuna meets his end, right there, when Yuji begins tearing into his chest and gets deep enough. We see what happens after Sukuna meets his end. He doesn’t flash suddenly to some sort of afterlife or anything because there’s no way he’d believe he had actually died to ‘That Brat’ and thinks he’s still in the fight, but Satoru Gojo’s Ghost has come to give him a wake up call. To make it clear to him that this is where it all ends, the strongest has failed.
That does feel kinda what gege might do to troll the entire go/jo fanbase

ik it is weird, since Sukuna is more popular, but I wish Kenny was the final villain and not Sukuna, since Kenjaku is more directly involved with Yuji after all, him dying to Yuta was cool and all cuz of references and callbacks, but the fact that Yuji didnt even talk with Kenjaku aside from that one time in Shibuya just makes me dissapointed
i think " departed spirit " or " ghost " in jjk is called to people who got reincarnated. bc at chapter 237 sukuna called kashimo as " departed spirit " because he was reincarnated. that thing just increasing chances of gojo coming back.

I’m of the opinion it’s a stylistic choice, like the manga version of where you get the song for the ending credits playing over the last piece of action in a really intense episode, then a big reveal happening in the last second or two (like the wall cracking at the end of AoT season 1 for example)

Hey. I have two questions.
1) when fighting Jogo, Sukuna haven’t used a DE before using the fire arrow. In the manga it’s explained that he needed to open the domain before using the fire arrow just like against Mahoraga and Yuji. It’s the the same technique?
2) at the end of the shibuya incident after getting yuji's black flash we saw mahito cornered and it seemed to us that he was hallucinating about wolves and that caused him fear. Is it possible that Sukuna is experiencing the same sensation after the black flash and is seeing Satoru because he is the only one who was able to cause "fear" in Sukuna?

There's another thing that I see in the last page, sukuna's hand sign for the domain, he only uses one hand but it kinda looks like the crossed fingers of gojo's domain hand sign

The last page is the first page of the next chapter like a preview which to me would read like gojo coming from the top rope with the domain expansion

Important to point out that another thing they use to point the end of a chapter are those little comments in the last panel. In this chapter is the "sees the ghost of the strongest foe" blurb. Those are written by the editor to hype up the next chapter, so it being in the last page confirms that they know this is the last page.
Also, having that "end of chapter" in the second to last page has happened sometimes in other jump mangas.
No idea why, but it's not something unheard-of with literary meaning.

When checking for the leaks, I kept refreshing for this reason, but then just accepted that they didn't specify that was the end of the chapter.
I’d put money as a post credit scene, and when they animate it, they’ll run the ending song after the black flash, then after the song it’ll clip to that and end with just a big dramatic bass drop showing “Gojo”
like Gojo’s story arc, it appears to have a premature end. Only to show it’s not over yet 👀

I think it's kinda like what some shows did/do, for example AoT or Invincible, where they add a little teaser at the end, which really makes me believe it is gojo in some shape or form.
Happened in one piece sorta recently, when Saturn had his name revealed, I think it’s sorta like a bonus scene
I've seen this in One Piece before. Usually Oda will use it as a way to have an 'after credits' hype moment or to make the reader think the chapter is over, just to have one more moment waiting up his sleeve.

Other thing I don't see anyone talking about is that the "Domain Expansion" pannel appears right after Sukuna crosses his fingers, but also, right before he looks to the side and see Gojo. That "Domain Expansion" could actually be Gojo's.
Watch that must have been the first page of the next chapter and then it switches to another event but they decided to put it in here last minute decision maybe. Making me feel like we won’t comeback to this fight straight away either another place hakari shoko or a flashback

I agree with it looks like some post credits shenanigans. If that's the case then what was shown in the last panel is something very important. Although if it was a hullucination it wouldn't automatically mean something important isn't happening.

One thing that I think people overlook is the fact that megumi"s 10 shadows was mentioned to be able to "resurrect" the dead when the sacred treasures are collected.
I'm very curious to see if there was a way for todo or ui ui to swap the soul of megumi within sukuna with something else or for megumi to somehow ressurect gojo with his 10 shadows.
I dont know anything at all about how WSJ works, but could this not be a late decision by Gege? Maybe that was the page that was supposed to start the next chapter, and at the last moment he decided to introduce it into 260?

I wouldnt think too hard about it. This kind of presentation has happened in one piece before where the last page was a crazy suprise but nothing more than that.
Perhaps the chapter was planned to end at the 2nd last page. But they felt like its much more of a hype/cliffhanger to include the final page (which is showing possible gojo return)

It was during Nagumo vs Gaku. If you can find a fan translated version of it, you'll see a similar case. It should be one of the beginning chapters of the fight. I should also add that I only know this cause I was too impatient to read officials and that chapter was available when I was going through the site for JJK raw images so there might be identical cases before and/or after that chapter.

Some people were thinking in Japanese fandom that since the Ghostjo stuff is at the bottom of last page of the chapter, they moved the bottom label to the prior page.
I've seen other manga like One Piece put the "end of chapter" tag on the penultimate page several times, so it didn't weird me out. I think it's meant to be like a post-credits teaser, making a cliffhanger even more enticing

as someone who reads one piece, this is something that happens every now and then. I believe it’s just a publication error between the shonen jump and the official volume release, it’s always corrected later on to my knowledge.
Plot twist sukana is still in gojos domain and this is only one part of seeing everything

It's likely either they decided to give us a sneak peek of 261 to drum up hype, which worked, or they decided to move gojo's return into 260, again to build hype, but more as a last minute decision, so they therefore forgot to fix the error. maybe they wanted to compete with my hero academia ending soon, clearly it worked, but it was still a risky move, so idk if that's likely.

as a part of a member of the chinese jjk community, people theorise that the end of the chapter is at the second last page and the last page is actually a hallucination or some sort of non-realistic page since the tag isn’t in the last page. I’d really hope gojo is back but from what we know of gege, shi boutta go south…
