Questline hunter was one of my favourite questline, i remember playing odd questline even before people discovered it being broken, I'm glad to see it back at least in some shape and form. (also you made me feel bad for disenchanting my copy of the qestline when it got nerfed ).
The extra effort was worth it, this video was very enjoyable. Made me even feel sympathy for QL Hunter players even though I hated that deck so much while it existed. It's funny how you post this right after Pers started cooking Frog Shaman again. It looks like it's off-meta season again!
You can currently play a meme hunter deck in standard that wants to spam a lot of cheap spells (not hp though). Jammer Hunter, tutor the weapon and play it, rump it up to an 8 cost beast and summon a thunderbringer ('cuase that's the only 8 drop beast in the format), and pull up a bunch of big beasts and Elementals from your deck. Haven't tried it out in perils yet, but cup of muscle (and also the new cheese elemental) should add a lot.
Hey Flare, I know you don't play much Standard, but I cooked a Adaptative Amalgam Hunter deck and I'm currently slowly climbing legend with it. It is easily counterable, but it is a lot of fun and has a lot of tech against currently strong deck. I usually manage to kill lamplighter Rogues before they have enough mana to use the combo. It's fine but basically doesn't matter since by the time you'd play Tavish usually you have second stage completed, which means Tavish removes the 0 cost which sucks. If it was permanently 0 Tavish would be much better tbh
This deck sounds very interesting, although wouldn't it be better just to use boars instead of hounds? Also, am I blind or there's no deck code anywhere (I don't see it in the description or in the comments)?
No deck code, since he said that this deck sucks. As for boars, I assume you mean Stonetusk Boar. I don't think it's better. Stonetusk Boar is better against decks that don't need that much firepower to break through. But the questline wincon already kind of covers that. With Hound + ABJ, it can do up to about triple the damage when accounting for the handbuffs. Another key factor is that Hound can be used for survivability, since cleave lifesteal 3 attack is still a great recovery tool, but Boar is more or less useless until you need it as a wincon.
Blizzard removing genn and baku from core set really ruined wild for me cause i didnt have those cards crafted and all the wild even/ odd decks were more cost effective for dust. The card acquisition in hearthstone is so bloated and difficult to get the cards you actually want, and the core set was supposed to alleviate some if that but it's pretty useless in reality
i really like the new style! i would prefer that you do more of this commentary style, although the power points are always fun
