I used to work at a non profit animal shelter and one of the most common reasons people returned the adopted dog was because they introduced them to their resident dog too quickly. We recommend waiting AT LEAST 1 week before slowly introducing them.

It’s wonderful to have my own space and yard BUT the reality of constant repairs and maintenance for upkeep of the house are a sometimes stressful. Expenses: taxes, repairs, insurances, lights, heating, yard work, plumbing etc. I tell people before you buy a home be able to afford the home you buy in the best times of your financial life and the worse times of little or no money. An emergency fund and reliable repair people are a necessary. Learning how to do your own basic repairs helps too.
I've been obsessed with stashed bags. I love to use these instead of plastic bags. They are great for traveling to use for phone cords, awesome for pre-freezing smoothie ingredients or pasta sauces, you can cook in them as well on the stove, microwave or oven which is super awesome. They could be a great camping staple to keep things fresh and cook right in the bag. I absolutely love them and can never get a enough...
My family rips old t shirt into rags if they’re not nice enough to donate and too raggedy to wear. We use them to polish shoes and cars, as hand towels, sweat bands when doing yard work, etc. My grandma uses old shirts as bangs for clothes pins and sews in old hangers so she can hang them on the line. We also like to hang dry things if we can. When the weather is nice and sunny we hang dry everything unless it’s dark colors or jeans that fade easily. I also switched to a manual/standard car because it consumes less gas than an automatic. I use to have to fill my gas every week and a half with my automatic car. With my standard, I now fill gas once a month! Also, Electric cars aren’t as eco friendly as advertised or as people believe. My family is also notorious for reusing single use packaging like mayo and tofu containers, yogurt containers, etc for things like planting seeds, storing food,
I donate cloths I don't wear anymore if I can't sell them, bring reusable bags when grocery shopping and containers when going to a bulk food store, bring reusable cups/straws to get drinks! I've also been using veggie scraps to make veggie broth too 😊 love this vlog on ecofriendly changes in your life guys!!

@WahlieTV. I collect rainwater here in California whenever it rains. I use it to wash the driveway and to clean soap/cleaners so I’m not wasting water getting the suds out. I keep a lid on the containers that hold the rainwater and it’s so convenient.

I go to college and the professor makes us print a lot of paper. At the end of the semester, these papers are always being throw out so I search up a way to recycle paper at home. I found CZcams videos on how to recycle your own paper at home. Now at the end of every semester, all the papers that I no longer need, I shred them up and make new papers. 👍👍😌😌☺️☺️

Keep a set of reusable utensils with you for eating out instead of using the plastic ones they give you 3. Use cloth napkins 4. Use silicone dryer balls instead of dryer sheets 5. Reusable makeup removing towels 6. Compostable bamboo toothbrushes instead of plastic 7. Reusable plastic ziplock bags 8. Buy as much in the bulk section using reusable produce/cloth bags as possible
Yay for being more sustainable! Regarding the rubbish bags that are biodegradable- they are likely to release methane in landfill (and won’t really biodegrade in there anyway); often plant based plastics aren’t the answer at all. The best option for rubbish is to use no bag at all, and shouldn’t be too stinky/ unreasonable since you’re composting! Otherwise you can make little bags from folding newspaper if you read it- but again it’s about doing our best rather than being perfect. You’re doing a great job!!
I really needed to hear your little talk about the pups and their problems. I'm at my college apartment so I have had my aunt's dog who has some issues with the other dogs in the house...She really just loves to be the only dog and obvi that's hard in a house of 3...I'm glad to know others have had some sort of problem with their pup...sometimes I feel like its just her :( she's so sweet though

Cloth makeup remover pads! I just throw them in the wash every week instead of throwing away cotton pads. We use reusable “ziploc” bags whenever possible, the same metal straws, collapsible cups/reusable cups, beeswax, and grocery bags that you do!
For traveling, I buy reusable travel size bottles and squeeze my shampoo, conditioner, lotion, mouth wash, etc into the tubes. Whatever I don’t finish during my trip I use up at home.

It doesn't always fit into the garbage container nicely but this way I don't throw out single use plastic. I haven't bought trash bags in a long time!

Money & Michi sleeping together in the same bed reminds me of my dogs. We have a Pitbull (Buffy) and poodle (Max) & everyone knows how territorial pitbulls are. But let me tell you, the time has come where Buffy let Max sleep with her in the SAME bed! Not sure if it’s cause she wants warmth cause it’s cold but I’ll take it. Lol We just have to keep reminding her to be good girl to Max & she’s been really good about sharing her bed..she also tries to sleep in his tiny bed that she barely fits in. Lol

As there are some companies that you just don't know what sorts of chemicals they put in their tampons or pads, and the overall use and waste that's produced by tampons and pads is a crazy amount! I remember the struggles you guys had ^^’ Another way to be a bit more sustainable is to not wash your clothes that often. Of course still being hygienic obviously. But if there is a little stain from some sauce or similar, then just wash the stain away and then keep wearing it ^^ In that way you prolong the life of the clothing an release less microplastics and generally use less water and detergent and stuff :) Small changes are great changes for sure! ^^ Really so happy to see that you use your popularity to promote these things :3 Greetings from Denmark! :)

Weylie, how do you get your bangs to lay so nicely and frame your face? Mine is pretty much the same length, but they bend inwards towards the face/forehead instead of outward towards the cheek/ears.. Btw love how you guys are living more sustainable 😍
