Bro i spent a night with a broken elbow and that was so fucking painful, it was 10 years ago and i still feel the sensation when i think about it. This savage was broken all over the place, that is crazy...
I wonder how much of it was shock, and maybe a bit of not knowing how bad it was? Like sometimes people don't realise how bad they're hurt and that kinda helps them push through mentally. I remember reading about a woman who fell down like a cliff when she was out running in a canyon somewhere (idk I'm not from the states but wherever you got canyons), she completely severed her lower half in terms of her spine basically. She didn't know how bad she was hurt but she couldn't move her legs and was in agony, so she managed to roll over (despite the fact her spine was IN HALF) and dragged herself with her arms up a hill, while her dog went ahead to get help. It was insane. I guess Tom knew he needed major surgery but it was a sketchy hospital in his head so he was probably like okay I'll go see someone I trust tomorrow, thanks for the input.
Edit: she shattered her pelvis sorry, but I found the name of the lady who dragged herself out after losing feeling in her legs -

I love these comedians podcasts, finally people talking openly about their drug and alcohol abuse days, good or bad. Something to relate to and be able to listen to when you're feeling down and just wished to find relatable peeps out there

But he might be right too. A couple comics follow Rogan to Austin because low taxes and Rogan and Covid so it seems like a nice idea. But once the world reopens and every promo and casting and job and every stand-up set outside of Rogans club requires a flight and most friends are still in LA and podcast guests don't want to go to Austin, the world might look a bit small and they might change their opinion. And then there will be free spots in LA for new guys which will get all the attention and netflix-deals and some of these new Austin citizens won't like that idea at all. On the other hand, LA is such a shit hole... who want's to live there.

No matter how successful tom gets he will always be humble and that one neighbor who's always genuinely nice and would help you in what ever you needed and as much as he could give you, can't help but love him and his wife even more, both genuine people, love the show, peace and love.

Dude I loved this podcast. It's been a while since I've sat and watched a full podcast without doing something while listening
Tom has a unique sense of humor, with Christina he's often concentrated on talking about things related to the previous topics or clips, and with Bert he doesn't even get a chance to talk at all. So seeing him with someone who's as electric as Bobby for instance is amazing. The 2 Bears 1 Cave podcast he did with him was really fucking good too.

Mad respect for Bobby being open about his encounters with men. He’s 💯 on point when he says it doesn’t matter and that tons of people have those experiences and it is common. It’s not even that he’s taking the power out of it, or being brave, or vulnerable, it’s that, when you really think about it, it’s a non-issue, it’s not shameful, it doesn’t mean you’re gay, and even if it does mean you’re gay, WHO CARES. So if people try to use it against him, it’s like, “okay, what’s your point?” And the person could say, “well it means your gay and you like dick!” And then you say, “okay, and what’s your point?”

If my friend stole from me and all our other friends and made millions off being a thief with our product I would never defend that behavior. If 10 years ago your comedy career went nowhere because management let someone steal your work you wouldn't care if a decade passed. You'd say that guy is a pos and made his career by stealing mine and others. Not every comic he stole from got to go on and become famous like rogan and bobby. For every comedian that makes it there's probably 50 who didn't and someone stealing your routine and performing it the same night as you because they are the famous one means the audience would assume you copied the star and it stalled out your career and fan base. This is a crime that has destroyed careers man. You wanna be friends with a guy like that fine but don't have the audacity to defend a criminal. I love bobby BTW this is just the one topic I can't stand with him.

Maybe it's not a good thing to do morally, but I get his position on the whole thing. It's also not as if he denies anything that Mencia did
The cult leader Rogan? Huh. I think if you look at the comedians that moved there, it's ones who like to perform on the regular, which is still not happening in LA, or Cali in general. From when this episode came out to now. ....nothing has changed other than taxes has increased an insane amount. They moved because it's saving them money (a lot) and they get to live how they were living before all the lockdown stuff.

Hey Tom, I have the same hand injury. It gets better with time. I severed tendons and nerves in my left hand when I was like 22 and I’m 34 now and I almost never think about it... the first year is rough tho. Keep doing rehab and playing piano and maybe guitar too. ✊
