Have you been using the wet line in the rain? The dry line ends up becoming slick compared to the rest of the track, so therefore the wet line is faster, at least in real life, though I’m not sure if F1 2020 simulates that.

The medium tyres can go about 15ish laps the hards can probably go 18, softs about 6 laps
I'm pretty sure if you qualify on podium you have to run the same tires you ran in qualifying so that's why you can't change your tire
