    Spot on tips! Well done. holds true all over upper Midwest in stocked lakes with weed vegetation. I love slip bobbers but One downfall is your competing with junk fish-cats, white bass etc.

    And I thought people made fun of how I said "Boat" as a Canadian, meanwhile I'm like "Whaddya talking aboat?"
    Big thanks to all your tips Nick! Have certainly gotten me onto and into the walleye fishing from being a strictly Bassman my whole life so far. Smashed the walleyes trolling a few days ago on Lake Erie, outta Port Burwell. Spoons and harnesses, over 30 fish into the boat, plus at least a dozen rainbow trouts.

    My local lake has walleye & pike. It also has a constant water clarity of 1ft-to-chocolate milk. I am a bank fisherman. Any tips?

    • @NickLindner

      Use baits that are loud, have plenty of vibration or have plenty of scent. Look for clearest water when possible.

    How are you liking your boat? Any quality issues after owning it for awhile now? I’m looking at the 1875 impact or 2025 impact and would like some people to tell me how they are after a year or so. I also think I will get all vinyl flooring
thoughts? Would you purchase the boat again or go with a different one?

    • @NickLindner
      @NickLindner  Pƙed 2 lety +1

      I've really liked it, Austin. Everything has held up well. I've spent a ton of time in both the 1875 and the 2025. Like both. Will probably get the 1875 again, but I'm still also considering the 2025 or possibly a Pro-V.

    • @austinhopper6158
      @austinhopper6158 Pƙed 2 lety

      Thank you. That helps to know you’d buy another one. My family and I go up to Leech once or twice every year. We stay just outside of Walker. Mostly have always fished for northern and now we jig fish reeds for perch and rock bass, Ned rigs mostly, we feel like it’s “spring crappie fishing” but not just in the spring! We are “bass fishermen” from Missouri so it’s been very cool to find your channel and learn the walleye game! If you ever want to fish with a stranger, I’d love to learn from you!

    I know you say to use 8lb fluorocarbon. I've noticed that when I fish pike heavy lakes 10lb survives longer than 8lb between retying hooks on my snells

    • @NickLindner
      @NickLindner  Pƙed rokem

      For sure! 10lb might make more sense on your lake. There's plenty of variables to consider

    Why did you bleep out the name of the lakes for night fishing. You blew the whole video for me with that tactic. I find a lot of fishermen not giving out lakes or spots because they worry someone is going to come and catch all their fish. Hog wash. A fisherman still has to catch or try to catch the fish. It does not just come easy. You were good up to that point.

    • @NickLindner
      @NickLindner  Pƙed rokem +1

      You got one of the three, Gary! Most folks (including my friends) would prefer if I didn't share smaller lakes with thousands of people. Not trying to be a jerk or off-putting, just being honest on the reasoning.

    • @11lltt11
      @11lltt11 Pƙed rokem

      You still have to catch the fish, that’s true. Take a look at the numbers for viewers though. If even a small percentage show up it’s a zoo. A couple of my favorite lakes have been mentioned more than once in different papers and shows. Show up at small landing and there’s 100 rigs and a half mile walk after you park.

    Common mistakes to avoid while making fishing vids.
    #1. Adding distracting music while your talking. Good info here, but certianly don't need the tunes,. Why make it harder to hear you? Your uncle's sound editors could use the same advice on some of their productions lately.
