DIY: EASY MACRAME LANYARD | MACRAME FOR BEGINNERS | SKULL BEAD LANYARD | MACRAME LANYARD TUTORIAL

Are you always losing your keys? Or maybe you’re a teacher or in a profession that uses a lanyard to hold an ID badge? This step by step tutorial, suitable for beginners, uses 3 different types of knot, to create your own macrame lanyard, with the added gothic touch of skull beads!
You will need :
3mm black single twist (recycled) cotton yarn
Safety break clasp
6 skull beads
Lobster clasp keychain
Hot glue (optional)
**Please note, if you use a different SIZE or TYPE of yarn, this will alter the length you need. Other factors such as tension and spacing of knots may also alter the final result.

MEASUREMENTS:
Length of yarn: 2 x 3m (approximately) plus extra for a gathering knot
Length of final lanyard : 34” when complete and folded in half when worn.

Hi, total finished lanyard is 34”, each side 17”. Hope that helps 🙂
