Hi, I have actually, I flew one when I was 7 years old from MRU to PER, it's a nice aircraft I think and later in 2011 I flew on my first A340-500 from SEZ-DXB-SEZ, it was also when I boarded my first A380 from DXB -LHR. I know totally different variat the 300 and 500 and different engines too, the 500 being bigger, but I still love it and still do. I also enjoyed seeing Edelweiss operate their here in SEZ.
The A340-300 engines aren't just *similar* to those on the 737 and A320, they're the SAME engine! Thankfully, the A340-500 and -600 got Trent 500 series engines.
